Set shortly after the events seen in the first reveal trailer for the sequel to Breath of the Wild, where Zelda is seen falling down a seemingly-bottomless pit. The light spirits have abandoned Hyrule, plunging it into an ever-lasting night. Zelda's husband says that the light was stolen away; he says that the Twili are to blame. But Midna? She calls him a liar; she calls the missing daylight a burning apocalypse upon her realm; and she calls upon Link to betray his comrades, his prince, his queen, and his kingdom. Premise-reversal AU.
