Night has taken over the sky the hospital courtyard only had a few light on outside while inside in the control room on the security monitors the screen suddenly switched to 'Night Mode' that started to activate.

The screen starting roaming through all the occupied rooms showing the usual vital signs, their names, and current state. The screen switched to show Illyana's room where she was fast asleep in her bed. Then it showed Rahne's room where it was the same scenario then to Clint and then Dani.

Dani was sleeping peacefully for the moment considering the heartbreaking trauma she had endured a few days earlier. If you asked her then who she was she would have said she's just you average teenage Cheyenne Indian girl who was living on a reservation with her people, her friends, and her family more specifically her father the only family she has left or had. One moment she hears explosions outside and is running for her life while around her there was chaos, destruction, and death. If that wasn't bad enough that she was the sole survivor of a community that was completely wiped from the face of the earth but she got to witness the death of her own father before running for her life with some unknown thing chasing after her and fell down a hill and next thing she knows she wakes up chained to a hospital bed. Being told that she is a mutant and has this unknown power that she is here to learn how to control. Although in the time she's been here though there hasn't been any sign of a mutation occurrence besides the others of course. Unfortunately she didn't know it but that was about to change tonight.

The security camera switches to the laundry room were Sam and Roberto are doing their last chores for the day.

Roberto is sorting through some clothes while Sam sits on the table against the wall watching him.

Roberto huffs annoyed, "Dish duty is really trimming down the wardrobe." Tossing the shirt he wore today while cleaning the dishes in the garbage pile.

Of course Sam never really understood why Berto did it though. "Every time your shirt gets dirty you just throw it away?" His Kentucky accent clear as day.

Roberto gets Sam's drift leaning over to pick up the shirt handing it over to the hick, "Here! It's all yours!"

"Cool!" Sam says plainly throwing the shirt over his slinged shoulder.

Roberto just has to know, "So was it scary? Working in the mines?" He heard about the guy's backstory.

Sam doesn't look at him but he uneasily answers the question, "Yeah, Yeah sure!" He says his voice sounding haunted almost by a past that he wishes never happened.

Meanwhile back in Dani's room the security monitor scan show her body glowing brightly, the vital monitor readings go up and up the words 'Psionic Energy Detected' under it.

Dani's body was starting to twist and turn as she entered the dream world only difference is her dream was now a nightmare. In her mind she was seeing images of flames burning people running, explosions rising.

Suddenly the lights went out in the laundry room causing Sam to twitch slightly, "Oh Jesus!" He says to himself.

"I got it!" Roberto says cooly which is ironic given how hot he gets. Turning the light switches back on.

He walks back over to the table by the laundry bin resuming the conversation he was currently having with Sam, "You couldn't pay me a million dollars to go in one of those things." He comments.

Sam just chuckles at that. "Well good because I couldn't pay you a million dollars anyway."

Roberto joins in and matches his gesture picking up the small bin a clean clothes fresh out of the dryer, "When we get out of here. I'll spot ya, my folks are good for it!" He walks out with the bin.

"Goodnight Kentucky!"

"Night man!" Sam replies.

Back in Dani's room the monitor shows her body growing even more brightly and the monitor starts beating rapidly as the scale and numbers are going up and up more. The words underneath now saying, 'Psionic Energy Elevated'.

In her bed Dani is starting whimper and moan as her nightmare gets worse and worse. In her dream she is back at the reservation out in the forest as the wind howls and whips wildly with flakes of snow falling.

In the laundry room Sam is gathered in his thoughts anytime someone brings up the word 'mine' to him only one thing comes to his mind. The worst day of his life the day he got his powers the day he became a….well at least in his mind a murderer. Before he can go any further into his own self-loathing guilt trip. He hears something loud enough to cause him to jump slightly. He notices the source of the sound is over by one of the dryers on the other side of the room.

He can't seem to make it out but Sam does know that sound from somewhere he just can't put his finger on it yet. A loud banging from inside as he gets off the table and carefully step by step walks over with caution until he is mere inches away from the glass door his free hand starts vibrating like it would right before he blasts off. He tries to look inside until he sees a hand reach out from the inside and then…..black.

Sam can't see a thing other than an endless black abyss. Fear is beginning to overwhelm Sam's body, "Hello?" He calls out hearing the endless echo of his voice fade away into the endless void. "Somebody!" He calls out again only this time a small light starts to flicker off in the distance. And like a moth to the flame Sam heads right for it the closer and closer he gets the more and more he can make out the shape of what looks like an entrance. Now he hear that sound come back again but this time it's much clearer, it's the sound of axe picks he starts to see the outline of shadow as he walks to and turns to see a long line of men who are wearing miners equipment and headlamp grinding away at the the walls. The sudden burst of light from the lamps silently blinds Sam trying to shield his eyes from the light with his good hand.

His heart rate is starting to kick into overdrive as takes in the picture of the memory….Sam's memory and he keeps praying to himself that it's not the one he thinks it is. Thankfully he is able to find his feet again and starts walking down the narrow path between the sides of miners. As he passes by each miner they stop only to turn to him with utter anger even in their dark silhouette figures covering their facial features Sam can feel the uneasy tension in the air and their eyes on him like a predator would it's prey. Closer and closer he get to the end and all of the workers except one have ceased what they were doing and all eyes are on the young Kentucky hayseed. Sam is able to keep his cool as his focus is now on the one miner left who is grunting and groaning as he hacks at the wall. Sam finally comes to a stop and eyes the worker curiously as he notices the man turn to face him slowly and revels him to be none other than Sam's dead father.

"Dad!" He says cautiously wondering if what he's seeing is even real.

His father turns to face him his face dirty and dusty, and seeing what looks like blood behind his glasses leaking down his face.

"Samuel! What did you do?" He asks. Suddenly the tunnel fills with the sound of his powers powering up and a loud scream causing Sam to turn back only to see the other miners charging at him with their pick ready to swing at him. And then-

BOOM! The dryer explodes scaring Sam so bad he blasts himself backwards against the washer on the other side of the room.

Sam groans in pain as he is unable to move because of the overwhelming sensation hurting him. He lets out a gasp for air and look back at the dryer to see the the dryer door's glass cover broken with a few shards of glass still intact and dark scorch marks surrounding the outer rim of the machine.

Up in Dani's room she is suddenly woken up from her nightmare and looks to the corner of her room.

Back in the control room the camera monitor now reads 'Additional Analysis Required'. Dr. Reyes watches with interest as she is seen observing the cameras.
