I love Cole and Jay's friendship, it's so perfect and also reminds me of my friends.
Fun fact:
- Cole once had lots of friends when he was young, but later found out that they were talking behind his back
- this is how Cole and Jay met
- Cole moved to another place so they haven't seen nor talked to each other
- and reunited when Wu found Jay
- obviously has no clue that they're related
I do not own Ninjago
A year later,
At Cole's school,
"Good morning class," the teacher greeted.
"Good morning teacher," the students cheerfully replied
"You may take your seat," the teacher said. "Today, you have a new classmate. Come in please,"
A short, ginger-head boy then entered the classroom. He has heterochromatic eyes; the right eye was blue, while the other was brown.
"Please introduce yourself," the teacher stated.
"H-hi, I'm Jason Walker but you can call me Jay," he started. "I'm 5 years old, and I lived in a junkyard with my parents."
Whispers and giggles can be heard, the moment Jay said 'junkyard'.
Jay felt humiliated, but then a certain raven caught his eye. He wasn't whispering nor giggling, he was just busy doing something in his notebook.
'At least, there's someone who isn't laughing' Jay thought.
Recess,
"Hey look, it's the junkyard boy," a boy yelled pointing to Jay.
"Hey, don't call him that," a girl said.
A wave of relief washed over Jay, but then…
"Call him freak eyes instead."
Jay then decided that he'll have to ask his parents to move him to another school, again…
When Jay was about to cry his heart out when he heard someone defending him?
"Leave him alone Reign!" a familiar noiret barked.
"Are you kidding me?" the boy I guess he's Reign retorted. "You're seriously defending him, Cole."
Cole…
"Reign, listen, you and Andrea have your entire life to be jerks," Cole started." Shouldn't you guys take a day off or something."
"You've changed, Cole. You know that," Andrea commented.
"Me? Changed? Good one," Cole replied. "Though it could be that or I just stop acting the way you wanted me to."
"Tsk, let's just go Andrea," Reign said leaving.
Andrea looked at him and Cole then stuck her tongue out before leaving.
"Hey, are you okay?" Cole asked, lending Jay a helping hand.
"Y-yeah, thanks," Jay answered.
"No problem," Cole replied. "You're Jay, right? The new student."
"Yup, and I'm guessing you're Cole," Jay retorted.
"Mhm," Cole responded. "Sorry about Reign and Andrea, they're not always like that before."
"Before?" Jay asked.
"Believe it or not, I used to be close with them," Cole said. "Then one day, I found out they were talking behind my back, so yeah."
"Oh, that must have sucked," Jay replied.
"It does, but it doesn't matter," Cole stated.
"Um, wanna be friends?" Jay queried.
Cole hesitated before agreeing, "Sí,"
Jay gasped. "You speak Spanish?! That's so cool."
"Are you Mexican? Latin? Colombian? Ooh, are you mixed or not? Have you been to Spain? Is it cool there–"
"Jay," Cole interrupted with a small laugh. "You do realize, you need to give me time to speak if you want me to answer."
"Oh right," Jay giggled. "Sorry,"
"Don't be," Cole replied. "Anyways, yes I am mixed, I'm Latinasian. I'm just learning how to speak Spanish."
"Latinasian?"
"Mhm," Cole answered. "My mom's a Spanish Filipina and my dad's an America–"
–insert bell ringing–
"Welp, time to go back to class," Cole groaned.
"Do we have to?" Jay whined.
"Yes," Cole retorted dragging Jay along with him.
