Addiction - A Big Time Rush Fanfiction….

A/N - Well, here is chapter three! Wow, thanks so much for the reviews; I'm glad this story is getting positive feedback! Anyway, sorry it took a bit to update; I was stumped for a bit but then could get it written, so here it is! Although I wish this were a little longer for this chapter, I'm happy with how it turned out, so yeah! Again, the support has been great thank you! I am enjoying writing this, lol. My love for BTR is something special, and to think, I only became a Rusher this past year when they added it to Netflix. But as they say, it's never too late to join a fandom! And I'm glad to be a Rusher even if I am a late rusher, lol. So yeah, lol.

Without making you all wait more and rambling, I own nothing from Big Time Rush but this story plot! So please enjoy!

Warnings: This fanfic contains drug talk, drug usage, drug abuse, and drug addiction. If any of that triggers you, please turn back and don't read.
Otherwise, thank you for coming in. This story is being written to spread awareness and concern; thanks!

Chapter 3

Kendall, Logan, James, Carlos, Gustavo, and Kelly all stood in the middle of the lobby, eyeing one another. The tension between the six was present while James, Logan, Carlos, and Kelly waited for Kendall or Gustavo to say anything. However, when neither of them spoke, Kelly jabbed Gustavo in the side with her elbow to persuade him to speak up. For a moment, nothing happens, and the two continue to stare at one another.

Finally, Gustavo says forcibly, "I'm….sorry….for what I said. I was out of line….and it wasn't right. Sometimes I forget your just kids still….and well...yeah...I'm not good at apologizing, but you get what I'm saying; I'm sorry." Gustavo finishes with grit teeth as he glares at Kelly. "Is that good enough?" He questions her, and he hates it when she makes him friendly to his dogs.

"Apology accepted," Kendall states with a sigh as he avoids eye contact. "I still don't appreciate what you said, but I also am not one to hold grudges, but I know you mean your apology, so all is forgiven." Kendall finishes as he shrugs at the situation.

Nodding, Gustavo grins and says, "Perfect, thank you, Kendall! Now, since you are all here and it's only nine am, let's get some work in. If that is alright with you all?" Gustavo asks with slight hope as he looks at each of his "dogs" to try and read their expressions.

Eventually, the guys all agree, and they head into the studio to work. Gustavo gives them a new song to study, the four boys hang out and sing the song together in practice form. As the guys work on their music, Gustavo works on getting the boys a gig to perform; after all, they haven't had one in a while, and they to keep promoting their band name. However, Gustavo didn't worry about finding one, and surprisingly, Big Time Rush has gotten very popular over the past year.

As they practiced and Gustavo worked, Kendall couldn't notice that he was starting to get a headache. Sure he's had them before, but this one was starting to feel horrible. Pulsing was on both sides of his head, while his vision started showing black spots here and there. That was the part that freaked him out a little. However, because he was at work, he couldn't do much about it or say anything. Kendall figured the headache would go away on its own.

"Kendall!? - " Carlos shouted as he snapped his fingers in front of his friend's face.

This caused Kendall to flinch slightly at the noise and snap out of his thoughts. He looked up to see all three of his friends staring at him with worry. He raises an eyebrow, "What?"

"Are you okay, man? You seem out of it?" Carlos questions as he eyes his blonde friend.

Nodding, Kendall sighs, "Yeah, I'm fine."

"You sure? You were spacing out. It was like you forgot we were signing." Logan states as he takes in his friend's appearance. If anyone could pick up anything about his friends, it was Logan. With wanting to be a future doctor eventually, he could tell when his friends were sick. But was Kendall sick? Or having an off day? Something about his friend seemed different, and Logan couldn't pin-point it.

"Honestly, I have a headache, like a terrible one. I'm not sure what caused it, but it's making me tired…." Kendall admits. Which he honestly hated stating something was wrong with him; he usually tries to hide his sickness, but Kendall knew his friend would eventually drag it out of him, and they would call him out for hiding it. But even if he said he had a headache, that was all Kendall telling them, and he wasn't entirely lying after all.

The guys nod. James says, "Well, maybe we can take the afternoon off and go home and relax? Can we tell Gustavo we'll practice the song more later tonight or something? How's that sound?" James questions as he rubs his chin in thought.

All four of them agree, and they find Gustavo, who, out of character, lets them have the afternoon off as long as they keep practicing the song. Together the four friends made their way back to apartment 2J. Once inside, they all relished in excitement about their afternoon off. Logan, James, and Carlos were talking about hitting the pool on a lovely sunny day. Even though the collection sounded fun, Kendall honestly wanted some rest, and he figured that would help his pounding headache. At least that was what he was hoping.

"What do say, Kendall? Want to go to the pool?" James questions with a smile.

Kendall points to his head, "Headache remember? I think I'm going to go lay down for a while. I'll join you possibly when I get up if it's any better." Kendall explains as he sighs.

The guys nod, "Alright, get better soon." James states as he stalks off to get his things for the pool, Carlos follows behind him. They soon vanish.

"What?" Kendall questions as he looks at Logan, the brunet has been staring at him since they left the studio, and it was annoying him. "Why do you keep staring at me!?" Kendall demands, the irritation obviously in his voice; he tries to calm himself when he sees the look of hurt in Logan's face from his tone of voice. "Sorry," Kendall mutters as he frowns.

"It's fine." Logan sighs as he eyes the blonde once more. "Nothing, I'm just worried about you. Something seems off, but I can't place it. If you have a headache, take some Advil or Tylenol for it before going to bed. It'll help. Also, call one of us if you need anything. I'll take my phone since your mom and sister are out." Logan finishes as he smiles softly at his friend.

Kendall chuckles a little, "Logie, you worry too much. I'll be okay, I promise. Have fun with James and Carlos, and I'll join you later. Thanks, I will, I promise." Kendall finishes as he takes his friend's advice and takes some Advil with a glass of water.

Satisfied at his friend taking medicine and his reassuring promises, Logan grabs one of his many medical books, pool gear, and cell phone before heading out with Carlos and James. Being alone finally, Kendall goes to his room and changes in PJs. He closes the bedroom door and shuts off the lights after closing the window curtains.

Lying down on his bed, he tried to relax and get the headache to go away. Soon, Kendall's eyes start to close slowly, and he is almost asleep when his phone dings with a text message. Groaning when he hears it, he opens his eyes and looks at the phone. Once he looked at it, Kendall almost jumped out of bed in slight fright and confusion. The text came from an unknown number with a simple sentence, that sentence was:

So, how are those pills I gave you treating you?

Still shocked, Kendall instantly knew who the message was but wondered how he got his number. Kendall was pretty sure he never gave it to that older man. Sighing, he saves the contact in his phone just in case he ever did need it, and he replies with a simple:

They help a lot, and when I take one, it's like all my anxiety and stress go away.

Sending it, he lays his phone back on the end table and puts it on silent. Lying around down, Kendall allows himself to fall asleep this time. As sleep took over him, Kendall wouldn't see the last message until he woke up. All boy did at the moment was sleep, for that was all he needed right now. But little did he know things were going to go downhill from here…

A/N - Well, there was chapter three! Chapter four will be up hopefully soon! Let me know what you think?
I wonder how the older man got his number? And what other effects will Kendall experience from the pills? Can you pinpoint the ones he already has?
