Once in the room they gave me, I sat at the table going over the whole meeting that taken place just an hour before. I had no where to be and had to settle in before going to dinner around 6:30pm.
Headmistress Kirova – finally finding out her name as we sat down in front of her desk. She had Jesse exit the office for us to speak privately and then I was to leave the office as Jesse entered with my parents to speak to each other.
"Now, lets get down to business." She spoke as she taken a seat. The doors were already shut, and I could feel her heavy gaze on me, feeling as if she were judging me. "I already have Ms. Rosemarie's times table drawn out for her to take." I held back the urge to blurt out that its Rose. I will straighten this before the meeting is over. "Sadly she only has two classes with Jesse, but they are the only ones that were available for the credits that they both need. Calculus and World History." Kirova handed me the times table for me to look over before continuing –
1st block: Calculus
2nd block: World History
3rd block: Combat training
Lunch
4th block: Chemistry
5th block: English Literature
6th block: business Technology
Once finishing reading my schedule I looked back to Kirova. Nodding, I wasn't too happy about my first two classes but if there were no other then I would take it. "I'm not the best with Math, Headmistress." I tell her to inform her about it. I'm sure she already had my transcripts from my previous high school to know that I was lacking in that subject.
"No worry for that Rose." She seemed proud to think that she gave me that nickname.
"Thank you for using that name Headmistress." I tell her as I force a smile on my face. I was ready for this day to be over. "I have a question regarding the combat class." I urge forward to get my question out without being rude for cutting her off. "Could you explain the combat class for me?" I asked. She straightens in her seat as she started going over what the class instilled. It was pretty much a self-defence and bodyguard class. Where we spared with partners and trained to one day be a guardian over some of the special individuals that grew up in the academies.
"Which brings me to our next subject. What exactly is needed for Rose apart from her protection?"
This is where my father spoken up, my parents had been quiet during the interaction with me and Kirova. "We wish her transformation to be kept secret apart from some trusted individuals that knows to keep it silent. The young man that came with, doesn't know of the supernatural that is here. That is why I've asked you to keep him separate. Rose needs the space once a month on a full moon to transform, she is in no way harmful towards anyone when she does. Mostly an area where she could roam free but far enough where no one is." He finished by crossing his leg over his other.
Kirova brought her hands together as she was taking this all in, staying quiet even after Abe had finished. "We have some cabins just boarding the end of the academy, there are guards in each just to keep eye out for any trespassers or any wild teenagers wanting to go to party in the woods." She looks towards me at the last part, thinking of what I would do. She turned her attention back to my father, once she got what she wanted "and with your help Mr. Mazur we have made accommodations just past those cabins for Rose. You are free to see them tomorrow once you've settled. We will have one of out staff show you the grounds as well. As for Mr. Zeklos we will do what we can to separate him, but the most we could offer with that is to keep him separate from Rose especially during the full moon. If he friends someone here that has special abilities, then we cannot stop him. But I assure you that our students are discreet with anyone new." She finished as she laid her hands on the desk. My father sat back as he stroked his goatee. My guesses from how he looked, he didn't think this all the way through before he had Jesse tag along for the ride.
"Very well, that is all I ask. To keep my Rosemarie safe." He responded back towards the Headmistress.
"Thanks, old man." I chuckled.
I was brought back to the room with a knock on my door. I quickly got to my feet to answer the door, not expecting anyone I was wondering who it could be. With school already started, everyone had roommates apart from me. I can't say that I'm disappointed in the least. I needed my own space to decompress. Opening the door, I found two people standing there. One was a girl a few inches taller than me and with a slim figure. She had platinum blonde hair that she had half pulled back out of her face. The other person was a guy with jet black hair, he wore dark clothes and was a taller than the platinum blond. "Hi." I say accusingly. I wasn't sure why they were here and howd they knew I was here.
"Hi!" She said chipperly, "I saw you come in and wanted to introduce me and Christian." She motioned her arm between the two of them. I scanned the two before extending my hand out to shake their hands. First was the blond, "Vasilissa, but everyone calls me Lissa." I gripped her hand felling heat come from both our hands. She looked down sharply before looking back at me.
"I'm Rose, full name Rosemarie but no one apart form my parent call me that against my better wishes." I released before reaching for Christian's. I didn't get the same heat from Lissa's.
"Are you doing anything right now?" Lissa shot towards me. I could see Christian shoot her a look, but she was looking towards me, so she didn't see his stare.
"I, uh, nothing. Just trying to get settled in." I motioned for them to come in before I was being dragged out of the room by Lissa. "Wait, I need my keys and wallet." I stated. She let me go back to get the items I needed and then dragged me through the hallways.
She let go shortly after once she knew I was still following her. I could see her reach into her pocket, typing away before putting it back into her pocket. "I'm sorry about Lissa." Christian supplied. I gave him a half smile before turning to Liss and asked her what we were doing. I could see Christian push forward and sliding his hand into hers. Ahh I thought, they're an item.
"Liss." I spoke. She just grabbed me by my arm and pulled me going through another building. I wasn't sure where I was going but from the looks of it, they knew where they were going. I'm sure I would get lost if I went through theses halls by myself.
We had gone through two buildings, across a quad and through another building before we entered what I could guest is the dinning hall. Each building and hallway I passed, taking in the beauty of it. Appreciating the building structure. We reach a table where there was another two people sitting, eating what I pegged as their early dinner. "Adrain, Sydney this is Rose. Rose" she looked at me "this is Adrain and Sydney." We sat down at the tables before I squawked out to Lissa.
"Lissa what was that? I would of came with you. No need to drag me here. I won't say no to food." I started to jump to my feet to see if they had any pastry treats that I could snack on before I meet my parents. Lissa didn't say anything just stared at Adrain. I walked towards the line that was forming that I assumes was for food. I looked throughout the whole isle that was full of everything you could think of. I was just to the dessert section when I heard the deep voice of my fears speak behind me. "We haven't been able to speak before this whole thing happened, Rose." He spoke. I wasn't in the mood to talk to him, I just got dragged across campus by someone I only known for five minutes. I needed answers there before I get into this now.
"There isn't anything to talk about Jesse," I spoke lowly – a fuck off tone that I'm sure that came across.
"But Rose. There is something that I want to talk to you about. We haven't had a moment alone."
I turned sharply, but it was only halfway towards him. I didn't need to make a scene before my first day starts. "And there won't be any moment alone, there will always be an audience where you're concerned. Now leave me alone." I was still speaking low, not enough to draw attention. I turned back towards the counter, spotting chocolatey goodness. "Oh, a donut." I said chipperly.
I grabbed two and went back to the table as there were harsh whispering happening. They stopped once I came into view. I didn't think twice to how weird it was. I just chomped on my donut while enjoying the donut that I had. "So, you like donuts I see, little Rosie?" Christian said with cockiness.
"Its not Rosie, unless you want chocolate pastry smeared on the face of yours." I said with a light tone.
"Rose!" Lissa spoke.
"What Liss?" I asked, not thinking there was a problem with what I had said. I saw a knowing glint cross Adrain's face before returning his attention to Sydney. We spent the remainder of the time I had before meeting my parents for dinner. We said our goodbyes as I went towards my parents.
