Long ago it's said that some warriors with the help of a mysterious ritual were able to channel their inner beast before a great battle. Their nails elongated into claws, their teeth into fangs, and fur covered their bodies and thus the first werewolves were created. They quickly dispatched their enemies, sending them fleeing, but instead of the songs of praise from the town, they were met with reactions of horror from their fellow villagers. The creatures were driven into the woodlands, leaving behind their former identities and establishing their own pack. As the years passed the warriors learned to control their transformations, and over the generations, their more monstrous forms disappeared, replaced by massive wolves. The large, strong muscular alphas, the smaller lithe agile omegas, and the balanced betas each pack member had their own place in the pack's ranks.
Eventually, the pack grew too large to go undetected and was forced to split. These splinter groups began to trade with local villages out of necessity, making sure to keep their beastly forms hidden. Soon the shifters had integrated into villages and married locals but despite their desire to keep the knowledge of the shifters within the household, occasionally a "lycanthrope" would be spotted deep in the woods, before quickly being brushed off as a local legend.
In modern society, the shifters kept a network of known individuals, many with a wide variety of professions so that as a whole the shifter community could keep themselves a secret. The sleepy area of the valley in southern California had a shifter community that preferred to stay out of the limelight in order to conceal their abilities, that was until a certain teenager moved to town in 1984. An old shifter named Miagai took the lanky young boy under his wing and trained him to fight in both forms until he was able to best Johnny, the future alpha of Kreese's Cobra pack. After Johnny's defeat, Kreese grew more intense in his training until eventually the Cobra pack splintered along with the Cobra Kai Dojo.
But history has a funny way of repeating himself and come 2018 Johnny took a young boy under his wing, reopening the doors of the Cobra Kai and in turn reestablishing the Cobra Pack. As far as the people of the Valley knew their favorite sport had returned but unbeknownst to them a battle for the valley was going on underneath their noses until only the winning pack could stay. At the forefront of this war stood three of the Valley's most vicious fighters, each with a champion and a pack of their own under them. Two packs, three leaders, and a collection of teens with rivalries of their own, which pack will win, which relationships will be tested, and who will take their place as the new pack leader of the Valley? Stay tuned to find out.
