Year: 1995

The Pride Lands is a peaceful region in the heartland of Africa, it acts as a utopia for many different wild animals. It is ruled over by King Simba and Queen Nala, they also have a young daughter named Kiara. The Pride Lands had remained untouched by mankind for generations, however that was about to come to an end.

Somewhere far far away from the Pride Lands, was a mighty empire called Osha, that ruled all of North Africa. It's ruler, Emperor Muantero, wished to expand Osha's influence and power. So one day, he organized an exploration to go into the south and find new lands for Osha to conquer.

The group left early in the morning and went southward as the emperor had commanded them. A few days later they arrived at the border of the Pride Lands, but quickly ran into a pack of hyenas. The group tried to run away but they weren't fast enough. Only one explorer managed to escape while the hyenas slaughtered everyone else. Back in Osha, Emperor Muantero kept trying to contact the group on their progress via telegraph but to no avail.

He was both furious and confused that a group of 35 explorers could just disappear without a trace. Then suddenly, the one escaped explorer finally returned and went to the emperor. The emperor demanded to know what happened, and so the explorer told Emperor Muantero everything, and what he said made Emperor Muantero's jaw drop.

The explorer explained that he and all the other explorers went to a large savanna called the Pride Lands. It was a huge land mass which expanded for what he predicted was about 4500 acres, and it was full of beautiful plants and animals, and was completely littered with natural resources. The emperor was very fascinated by what was going on, but his ambitions to conquer new lands were much greater. He sent out a call to the military for 500 men to go to the Pride Lands, and take it over.

The emperor also insisted he'd come to observe the army, despite protests from his imperial advisors. Emperor Muantero left with the army in his imperial carriage. The location of the old commander's video feed was given to the army, so that they could successfully make their way to the Pride Lands.

Just like for the old group, it took the army just a few days to get there, and once they did, everyone except the emperor began singing the imperial anthem of Osha. At Pride Rock, Simba and his wife and daughter were sleeping in a stone cave along with all of the other lionesses, and right outside the cave was Rafiki, a shaman of the Pride Lands. He had awoken to the army's singing from not so far away. He looked out and saw the army approached with their emperor following behind them. Rafiki went into an instant panic and awoke everyone that was sleeping in the cave. "HUMANS! HUMANS! THEY'RE COMING FROM JUST OFF THE HORIZON!" Shouted Rafiki. Everyone woke up and also went into a panic, but Simba and Nala quickly calmed them down.

Simba proposed that they had to fight back against the oncoming humans no matter the cost. All the lionesses agreed. Kiara was told to stay in the cave to be looked after by Rafiki. Simba and all of the lionesses then ran out of the cave and off of Pride Rock to face the army. Once the army did see the lions they stopped singing and quickly prepared their rifles. "Your majesty, do we have your consent to fire upon these animals?" Asked the general. "Look, I really don't condone you firing upon these innocent animals, but you do what you have to do to take over this land." Said Emperor Muantero. The lions and imperial army just stood there in silence for a solid minute until the lion's all let out a roar and began charging at the army. "CHARGE!" Shouted the general.

A full blown battle broke out, and eventually a bunch of other animals in the area also joined in on the fighting. Meanwhile Kiara was inside the cave on Pride Rock with Rafiki and heard the gunshots coming from outside, she just couldn't bear hearing all of it, and so she buried her head into Rafiki's chest.

Though the army was making steady progress in dominating the battle, they were also being beaten to death by the many strong lionesses attacking them from all sides. Emperor Muantero made sure to keep his distance from the battle, and watched as his grand army and the lionesses began to slaughter each other. All of the men fighting the animals were no more then 30 years old, so Emperor Muantero couldn't help but feel a little guilty sending them all out to painfully die.

Meanwhile Rafiki decided it was his time to help out in the fight, and so he went out of the cave leaving Kiara behind, and he began firing large rocks at the imperial soldiers with a custom made catapult that he had built. He managed to gravely wound at least 20 soldiers.

Eventually one of the more younger soldiers caught eye of Nala while she was fighting, and so he took this opportunity to reload his rifle, and he shot Nala right in her thigh. Nala screamed in pain and Simba immediately ran to her aid. An hour later, the battle was finally over, and what was left of the animals had either been killed or had ran away. The emperor slowly walked out of his carriage and walked through the massacred land.

He may have won the battle, but it came at a steep price. Over 100 of his soldiers either lay dead or wounded. The emperor made his way up Pride Rock and saw Simba cleaning Nala's wound, and Kiara was sobbing next to her.

"It is time for you to leave this place." Said Emperor Muantero. "YOU HUMANS MAKE ME SICK! YOUR ALL SELFISH AND CLOSED MINDED! YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT ANYBODY AS LONG AS YOU GET WHAT YOU WANT!" Shouted Simba. "Well you and your subjects do the exact same thing. It doesn't matter what you are, a human or an animal. In the end we all kill to get what we want." Said Emperor Muantero. "But no matter, this land belongs to the Empire Of Osha now, so you and your family better just-" Before the emperor could finish his sentence, a wooden staff was shoved straight through his chest. Rafiki had assassinated Emperor Muantero.

The emperor dropped to the ground dead in his own puddle of blood. All of the remaining humans looked up in complete shock before running away. A little while later, Nala's wound had mostly healed up, and the emperor's dead body was dropped into an abyss by Simba.

So not only did Emperor Muantero die, but his great empire also died with him. Emperor Muantero had no heir, so once news got back to Osha that the emperor was dead, the entire empire broke out into a series of bloody civil wars, as nobody knew who was supposed to succeed as ruler, and all of Osha slowly disintegrated. The emperor went into Pride Lands history as an evil entity that tried to disrupt the Circle Of Life, and never again would any humans come to the region.
