"Excuse me sir how much are these cloths" Nezuko asks a stores man.
"Hmm... The cloth on the robe seems to be torn in many placee you can have that for free" The man says kindly to her. Nezuko beams before he continues "The komosu tengai, the mask, and the gloves combined is 2500 yen" the man finishes. Glad about the price. she relunctently hands the man the total amount of money.
"A weird set of items I gotta say miss you sure you aren't doing a ritual or something?" The man asks
"yes I am sure, this is for my brother anyway!" she replys
"heh heh, anyways see you later miss!" the man says wavin lg goodbye towards the woman
"have a good day!" she waves back leaving the building.
Nezuko walking towards a mountain cave that she and hwr brother found. She neals down and calls out.
"Big brother?" she calls out not seeing her big brother for some moments before seeing him pop out of a hole like a little mole. "brother you look like a mole!" Tanjirou hums at this and looks at his surroundings and nods his head agreeing with his sister. giggling at his reaction she sets his new clothing next to the entrance of the cave and explains "alright brother so I'm going to sew up this robe, and then you can wear it!" she says happily before taking out the sewing kit.
Before Nezuko and her brother left she had grabbed some food and of course her sewing kit.
finishing up the tattered up robe and handing it to her brother she also hands him the other items as well.
Tanjirou being able to put everything on in his little mole hole crawls out of the cave and stands up. Looking at him he wears his iconic black and green haori on top of the robe while also wearing the gloves. On his head he wears the komosu tengai and under that he wears his mask which has a pattern of the sun on it.
"You look beautiful Tanjirou" Nezuko praises as Tanjirou hums in delight to her comment. "alright to Mt. Sakonji we go!" She says raising her fist into the air.
"If you want to go to Mt. Sakonji you'll half to pass through this mountain" A woman with a child clinging to her side.
"We'll be alright miss!" Nezuko says confidently
"it's getting dark and people usually go missing when they go up there" The woman says worried for the two children.
"Don't worry! Me and my Brother will be extra careful!" Nezuko says bowing down with Tanjirou following suit.
"well don't get lost!" She says waving at them as Nezuko waves back walking up the mountain. Half way up the mountain Nezuko realizes that it was night "Tanjirou you don't half to wear your tengai anymore it's night" she tells him. Believing her he takes it off and the mask and holds it between his right arm. Reaching into his robe he pulls out the muzzle he got from Giyuu and ties it around his mouth.
Continuing to Walk up the mountain the two see a cabin "Ah, there's cabin here!" Nezuko says pointing towards the cabin. "The lights seem to be on, there must be people inside!" She says happily "Maybe we can stay the night for a while and continue in the morning" She said to her brother to which all he saw was a bright blur. Getting a little closer Tanjirou suddenly grabs Nezuko's haori causing him to drop the tengai and the mask.
"What's wrong big brother?" Looking behind her she notices something is wrong with her brother. Drool was coming out from under his muzzle, she knew this was bad from remembering the time he was attacking her.
"someone must be injured" she says to herself, but before she can think any longer a demon walks out of the building
"I knew I smelt something!" He says grinning widely "You two seem strange?" He says questioning them, before pouncing at Nezuko. Quickly on her feet she takes out the axe that she kept from the woods and slashes at the demons neck. Successfully hitting the neck the demon staggers back.
"Ah an axe!" He laughs "not bad, but isn't enough to-" before he could finish his sentence Nezuko swings another time, but the demon being to quick dodges and grabs her by the neck pushing her down to the floor. "HaHa! You tried to hit me again with a cheap shot!" He says to her "But no! I was to quick" he says triumphantly. Panting hard she squirms under the demon as it slowly chokes her to death.
Still standing still drooling at the mouth Tanjirou soon hears the pants of her and quickly sniffs out where she is. Finding another smell Tanjirou finds out that she is in danger running up to where the demon and Nezuko are.
"what the" The demon says as he is lifted up by the head, being turned around he finds out that Tanjirou has picked him up and is about to headbutt him. Trying to lift his hands in time to slash at him his head gets smashed as Tanjirou headbutts him. Having a dent in his head from the headbutt he gets really dizzy, but quickly gains composure again to just get hit in the head again causing a bigger dent and knocking him out. Letting go of the demon Tanjirou shoves him to the side and worryingly hums to Nezuko as she is still laying on the ground.
"ugh..." Nezuko groans lifting herself up to see a worried Tanjirou holding her. "I'm fine Tanjirou no need to worry. She says patting his head in reassurance. Calming down Tanjirou carefully places Nezuko down and pats her head. Looking towards the demon she wonders what to do. Tanjirou remembering someone checks his haori to find a pocket knife. "What do you want me to do with this?" she says to Tanjirou confused "also when did you have a knife?" Tanjirou giggles at this before sliding a finger across his neck and pointing to the still unconscious demon. "You want me to kill it?" Shaking his head he walks over flips the demons body and puts a foot on the demons body. "I can't do that!" She says to her brother. Tanjirou puts a thumbs up and gives a reassuring hum to Nezuko. Nervous she walks over and is ready and puts the knife in both hands and stabs the demons head.
"GAHH!" The demon suddenly awakens, but quickly is put back unconscious as Nezuko punches him out of reaction. Tanjirou humming about how to kill the demon gets an idea and grabs one of the big rocks. "I- I can't do it Tanjirou I'm sorry, but I can't!" She says nervously to he brother and he gives an understanding hum.
"Then how will you become a demon slayer?" A man asks with a strange mask which looked like a red angry goblin face. Nezuko thinking about gets hit in the head "Too slow!" He says to her "If you want to become a demon slayer you'll half to kill demons!" He says. Taking note in this Nezuko turns to her brother who is still holding the rock and grabs it. Nervously walking over to the unconscious demon she readies the rock in the sky hesitating. 'Giyuu this girl won't do. She reeks of kindness' The man that shaking his head 'but I will say she has the will power to become one' he continues in his mind as Nezuko crushes the demons head and tosses the rock aside.
While this was happening Tanjirou notices that it has gotten a little brighter than usual. Taking off his muzzle and putting it away he finds his tengai and mask putting it on.
'I did it' she thinks to herself 'I killed a demon!' she says relieved to get that over with. Turning around she looks at the man who is walking towards her.
"I am Urokodaki Sakonji" Sakonji says " you are the ones Giyuu wanted to introduce me to" he says pointing towards the girl.
"ye.." awkwardly pausing between pauses thinking how she got here "yes. My name is Kamado Nezuko and that's my brother Kamado Tanjirou" she says to her brother who is now wearing his mask and tengai.
"Nezuko. What will you do if your brother is your brother eats a human?" He says dumbfounding Nezuko. Getting slapped across the face she looks back at the man "Too hesitant!" He says "You are to hesitant on most thing." he says to Nezuko "You hesitated to kill the demon. You also didn't answer my question in time!" he says. raising up two finger "if a situation like that ever happens there are two solutions. One kill your brother and two slit your own stomach" holding her cheek she continues to stare at the man " that is the result of bringing your brother with you" he says pointing at her once again "listen. That situation must never be allowed to happen. Letting your brother take an innocent person's life, is something that can never be allowed to happen" he says "do you understand what my words mean?" without a moments notice Nezuko responds
"I understand!"
"well then... It's time for me to test if you're able to become a demon slayer" Sakonji says "grab your brother and follow me." Nodding her head she walks over to Tanjirou and tugs on is haori. Understanding this he follows suit. Seeing that they are ready Sakonji turns and starts running as Nezuko and Tanjirou follow behind.
'He's so fast!' running behind Sakonji Nezuko is panting hard as ever she could be as Tanjirou who doesn't seem out of breath runs beside her
'I can't hear his footsteps at all!' panting hard 'how old is he again?!' she questions in her head. Looking over to her brother she realizes that he isn't even struggling as much as her 'Even Tanjirou isn't breaking a sweat!' she thinks surprised by this 'I guess becoming a demon really upgraded his stamina' not watching where she was going she trips on a rock.
"oof!" grunting after getting a face full of dirt.
"Get up! A demon wouldn't wait for you to get up . Instead they would take advantage of the situation!" Sakonji says to the fallen girl
Listening to his orders she stands up and starts following him once again. Tanjirou worried for his sister hums to her. Still running and panting between each word she says "Don't worry I'm fine Tanjirou" she says taking in a deep breath "if I want to turn you back into a human I half to endure his training once I complete the test!" Tanjirou semi satisfied with the answer converts his gaze to the man in front of them following him.
Finally arriving at a cabin at the foot of the mountain where Sakonji lives. Panting heavily Nezuko falls to her knees and says "did I pass the test?" Looking at Sakonji panting still.
"The test has just begun" he says stunning the young girl "follow me up the mountain"
'It feels like my legs are going to fall off' she comments in her head 'I'm so tired I could faint any second' following Sakonji up the mountain for what felt like hours for Nezuko finally stops.
"from here you will descend the mountain." he says turning back to Nezuko "from here and to my house you are going to make it down there before dawn" He says not giving time for Nezuko to speak he leaves into the mist that surrounds them.
'So I just half to climb down this mountain before dawn? That's easy! I remember the path down the mountain because of how bored I was!' walking down the mountain she stops herself 'This is a test!' she reminds herself 'there's probably traps scattered down this mountain!' Taking this into thought and still keeping a fast pace she continues to descend the mountain. Walking down the mountain some more she notices rope on the ground 'I knew it!' stepping over the rope she beams knowing that she is correct. Continuing down the mountain a couple seconds continuing down the mountain she falls down into a hole that was covered by leaves. Climbing out of the hole she without realizing trips a thin peace of rope. Standing up an commenting on how she should have paid more attention gets rammed in the back by a log swing from above. 'Not good! Not good! If I continue getting hit by traps I won't be able to make it down by dawn!' Running down the mountain not caring if she got hit by more traps she finally realizes something 'the air is so thin!' taking in a deep breath 'no wonder it was so hard for me to breath! I just need to adjust my breathing a bit not not loss so much air!' Running down the mountain some more she would be smacked by some bamboo from the side 'I can make it! I can't let Tanjirou down! I'm able to dodge most of these traps, but I'm not agile enough to dodge all of them!'
Tanjirou still wearing his mask and tengai and is sitting on the ground waiting for his sister to come back. Waiting patiently for his sister he decides to take off his tengai and mask and puts on the muzzle he keeps in his haori and stares at the door. Smelling someone he recognizes he stands up putting on his tengai just in case the sun peers in and walks towards the door.
Opening the door Tanjirou sees a panting Nezuko stumbling towards him. Helping her keep steady and making sure she doesn't fall and hit her face again bring her inside. "I've made it back she says panting heavily.
"Kamado Nezuko" Sakonji says walking over to her "I've seen your abilities and except you as my student" was what Nezuko heard before fainting.
demon slaying corps are an organization that is unrecognized by the government. However they continue to slay demons. there numbers are around a hundred... Nobody knows the leader of the band of demon slayers... Still a shrouded mystery.demon. Main source of food is humans meaning they hunt and kill humans to quench there hunger. Where they originated or where they were born is still a mystery. there physical strength is much more stronger and powerful than the average human strength. If body parts are hacked off they would still have a connection and they would be able to regrow limbs within seconds. There is also demons that exist to which they can change there own body structure. If one does not use a special blade and chops off a demons head, the demon wouldn't die.The demon slaying corps fend off the demons with there own flesh and blood. Being human there injuries recover slowly and lost limbs would never regrow. Even so they continue to fight for humanities sake.
"I am a cultivator. Like how the word states I cultivate swordsmen" he explains "There are many cultivators like me who cultivate slayers with a variety of techniques in a variety of places" Sakonji says "if someone wants to be a demon slayer they'll half to pass a test called the final selection on the mountain Fugikasaneyame" Nezuko listening to what he has to say looks at him with determination "I get to decide if you get to go to the final selection or not."
I began to wright a diary for Tanjirou. I descended the mountain as well today, I'm training hard everyday so that I won't die during the final selection. I've been able to dodge and figure out what traps are where repeatedly everyday. My stamina wasn't the only thing that has increased my agility and how light I am has increased too! I was able to dodge the log that I always got hit by! However as descending the mountain got easier each day it has also got harder and harder as the traps got more dangerous! Knives started to appear! Knives! It's like he wants to kill me, but I'm sure he isn't and wants me to grow stronger and pass the final selection!Today I started to bring my blade that Urokodaki gave me for training down the mountain. I've been getting stuck on more traps lately because of it! It's really starting to get on my nerves, but I know that once I become a slayer I'll half to carry the thing around to slay demons. Training with the sword isn't really training, but just swing my sword a thousand times. After I descend the mountain I use my beat up hands to swing my sword. When he showed me the blade Urokodaki said that hitting with the sword vertically does good damage, but hitting it horizontally it is more weak and can easily snap. One must swing with the blade he said. The position of the blade and the direction one applies the force to swinging the blade must be the exactly the same. Also blades are easily worn down, so if my blades snap my bones would also snap. Well that's the threatening tone I got from when he said that.
Today is a wrassling festival, a training that allows me to get up from any position no matter where I fallen from! I would swing my blade at Urokodaki because of our training, Urokodaki would use his bare hands to fight against me with. he is extremely strong! He would always flip me over causing me to hit the ground.
Today I practiced breathing and what positions to do them in. He got really angry at me due to me not putting in strength into my abdomen and he started slapping my stomach, which hurt a lot!Also Tanjirou hasn't been awake for almost half a year. When Urokodaki asked for a doctor to stop by to get a diagnosis for any irregularities, to find out that there wasn't any at all. I hope Tanjirou is fine.
I'm afraid...
I'm afraid that he won't wake up and when I go to check on him he would be lying there dead. I gotta keep on track and hope for the best for Tanjirou. My training from descending the mountain forces me to breath in more dangerously low oxygen places. I thought a bunch of times I was going to die here...
"I don't have anything more to teach you" is what he said to me before taking me to a boulder and saying that I half to cut this Boulder in half to be able to attend the final selection. When he walked away I pleaded him to come back, bit he of ired me. I kept thinking that the blade would snap and how I can't do this. I trained harder and harder each day. Training myself to become stronger and writing down the basics in my journal to, I would also push myself to breath more and more things like descending the mountain. I couldn't break the rock even after the hard work of training for days at a time I just couldn't...
Closing the journal after reading through each page throughout the journey of Nezuko when she was training. Tanjirou carefully places it back down on the desk standing up from the floor he was reading on he looks over to his sister laying next to him sleeping. He remembered from reading through the journal that she talked about a boy named Sabito and a girl named Makomo. Knowing that it's the middle of the night he doesn't put on his tengai, but he does put on his mask with a sun pattern on it. Following the scent of her sister towards the boulder he stops and looks towards the boulder. 'Does she really half to cut through that?' Tanjirou thought looking at it. It looked sturdy and thick. How can s sword cut through that? Sabito had said that he had cut the boulder himself, but that doesn't make it any less hard to believe that he cut through Nezuko can cut through it.
"so you must be Nezuko's brother" a boy said behind Tanjirou. Turning around he sees a boy wearing a fox mask with long orange hair. wearing a white haori and wearing a familiar pattern under it. Tanjirou though couldn't distinct what he was looking at because of his poor eye sight from the incident. Confused on how he couldn't smell the person that has called out to him he could only assume that it was Sabito due to him being the only other male on the mountain other than Urokodaki and him having a more you get voice.
Tanjirou nodded shaking his head yes towards the boy.
"what brings you here... Tanjirou was it?" he said pointing his wooden sword towards the demon. shaking his head yes he bends down towards the snow and attempts to right some in the dirt.
how iz Nezuko doihg in training?
finishing his sentence his stands back up and backs away allowing Sabito to see what he wrote.
"Nezuko is doing well so far, but still is far from slicing this Boulder off" Sabito said turning to Tanjirou "though I expect her to be able to in the next two years" he said attempting to reassure Tanjirou. Though this didn't really reassure him. It meant that Nezuko would come to the boulder everyday for the next two years and fight Sabito so she can slice the boulder in half. In the next two years.
"That didn't reassure him at all Sabito" a girl now sitting on the boulder was talking now. She worn a fox mask that was on the side of her face instead of covering it, wearing a black uniform on top of a flower patterned shirt. Though still due to his eye sight he couldn't make out what she looked like, but could only assume that it was Makomo "Hi Tanjirou" she waves at him "Your sister talks a lot about you on how your so kind" she said in a sweet tone. Warmer by the fact that his sister talked nice about him he hummed to her.
there was a moment of silence before Sabito spoke "so are you really a demon?" he asks pointing his wooden sword once again at Tanjirou "because from my interaction with you right now that is hardly believable" Tanjirou surprised by the fact that they know he is a demon, he hesitantly hums shaking his head yes. Surprised, but not really he is satisfied with the honesty of him.
"So why did you really come here for? Besides checking in on how your sister is doing" Makomo asks. Tanjirou bending down to write down something once again writes.

Backing away once again to allow them to read what he wrote in the dirt once again Makomo says "aww how sweet. Well I guess we didn't properly greet ourselves" she says smiling "I'm Makomo!' she lending a hand towards Tanjirou who Gladly shook it. "and that over there is Sabito" she says nudging her head towards him.
"I can introduce myself Makomo" he said slightly annoyed.
After talking with Sabito and Makomo, Tanjirou walks back to Urokodaki's house knowing that the sun will rise soon.
Opening the door and closing it behind him he walks towards where his sister is sleeping and sits down next to her as he waits for her to wake up.
