Hey Guys!

It's AzAlexZ back with a new chapter.

As I said in the first chapter, this is a story that follows the timeline of the anime. There are some changes because I'm not just trying to copy the anime entirely, even though there are many similarities. Having Satoshi and Serena means that different things can happen and you will see those in this chapter.

Two more notes:

1) I forgot to mention this in the first chapter but there are 22 people in class 1-A because I didn't want to remove anyone so Satoshi + Serena + the 20 students in class 1-A = 22 people. This will change the way that some training exercises are completed, as evident in this chapter but won't change the overall theme of said exercises.

2) I will use first names for most of the characters in conversation or narration (I'm not used to referring to people by their last names so it'll be easier for me).

That's it from me! Please send any reviews, ideas, and constructive criticism my way!

Without further ado, let's get on with the new chapter, hope you all enjoy it! AzAlexZ out!

Chapter 2: Class 1-A, The Future is in My Hands!

Izuku has inherited the quirk of One For All from All Might. After 10 months of intense training to adjust his body and buffing his physique, Izuku, alongside Satoshi, Serena, and Katsuki are taking on the U.A entrance exam to be accepted into U.A. Academy. As the future aspiring heroes enter the exams, what awaits them? Who will come out on top and get accepted into the U.A. Academy?!

Let the Chapter begin...

Following the events of the last chapter:

"Thank you, Satoshi, though I'm not quite sure," Izuku responded.

"Hey, I have watched you train every day for the last 10 months with a hellish schedule that even I would struggle to complete if I had just started to get into this whole hero business." Satoshi encouraged, "you got this, okay? Have more confidence in yourself. All Might is counting on you, don't disappoint him now."

Izuku gave a nod of gratitude as he ran towards Arena B. As he gradually went out of sight, Satoshi turned his sight towards the path that led to Arena C.

Well, it's time to show the world who I am. Satoshi thought. I am Satoshi Ketchum, the future Top Hero that will surpass even All Might. This is my First Step Into the World of Heroes.

(With Satoshi outside Arena C)

Satoshi took a deep breath as he arrived at the entrance of Arena C, he took a glance at his surroundings, taking in the group that is his competition. There were many interesting figures, and many people had come prepared in different styles of clothing that Satoshi could only assume would be the base for their hero costumes. As for Satoshi, he wore an outfit that consisted of navy-blue colors and silver-colored sleeves and pants.

As time passed on, he could feel the tension rising among the examinees that were present. He proceeded to close his eyes and began to channel aura energy into his hands and legs. He waited for the right moment until a sound echoed in his mind, The real battlefield waits for nobody.

Satoshi responded quickly to this sound and began to make a run for it. Soon after, the loud voice of President Mic echoed behind him as he said, "Hello? Get a move on! Battles have no countdown, what are you all waiting for? Get going before you are denied the opportunity to score any points."

Satoshi smirked as he had already gotten a head start. Adrenaline and excitement filled his mind and body as he continued to rush forward. He had his suspicions, but when he entered the arena, he was surprised to find the accuracy of the arena to be what looked like an urban setting. He had no time to appreciate the scenery though as he had an exam to complete.

Satoshi ventured forward, letting his presence become noticed as he was waiting for the enemy to appear, his patience would be rewarded soon as he was surrounded by enemy robots, coming from all directions.

This is going to be easy! Satoshi thought as he moved around like a flash of light, cleaving through robots left, right, and center. As he broke down big and small robots in his vicinity, he scored 15 points immediately.

As he continued to progress through the examination, He could feel an exciting sensation, the sensation of utilizing his full abilities to bring down enemies around him. He could feel the wind around him as he moved forward, cleaving down more and more robots.

Though he felt this sensation, he also snapped back to reality, continuing to run further into the arena, not wanting to be caught up as he saw his competition inching forward. He dived further into the field and found a few large robots, as the competition came forward, he knew he had to share points, so he continued to break down as many robots as he could.

In a bit more than 5 minutes, Satoshi has already acquired 50 points.

(In the monitor room with All Might and the other U.A. teachers)

"That Satoshi Ketchum is quite skilled in the usage of his quirk, I'm very impressed." Principal Nezu, a bear-mouse hybrid dressed in a traditional suit and tie commented, "he looks familiar though, I wonder why?"

"Wait, wasn't he the one that destroyed the sludge monster with you 10 months ago while saving 2 teenagers in the process?" Another teacher that looked like a Cement Block approached All Might, bringing him some tea.

"Yes he was there with me, Cementoss, he is a very brave individual." All Might said as he accepted the tea with a gracious nod, "he has been helpful to many people, so I've heard."

"It's good to know that someone like him could be a suitable fit here with the praise from All Might, you seem to have made quite a lot of impact." Principal Nezu stated.

"You exaggerate principal," All Might laughed, "his achievements and his skills are his own, I have never been involved in his development."

As they moved on to the other examinees, they found more interesting candidates to look into.

"Well, Arena A also has a fierce battler, Katsuki Bakugo, he scored 55 points already and there are still a few minutes left for him to demonstrate his abilities."

"And the girl in Arena D, with the honey-blonde hair, or is it gold? Serena Yvonne," President Nezu said, "not only is she earning points by beating robots but also from shielding others from the robot's attacks."

"Looks like we might have a lot of interesting new students this semester." All Might said as he shifted his gaze towards Arena B.

How are you doing, Young Midoriya? He thought.

"True, but the real part of the final has just begun." President Mic said as he pulled a trigger, adding more challenges to the competitors currently competing in the various arenas.

(With Satoshi in Arena Ground C)

Okay, I think have around 60 points now, I need to top that off with a higher score. Satoshi thought as he heard a loud noise come from the area in front of him. A huge robot had appeared before him.

Is this the one that is worth 0 points? It's huge! Are they sure they're not overdoing this? Satoshi thought, guess I'll have to go somewhere else.

He quickly moved away from the robot with the rest of the group, that was until he saw a few of his competitors from the corners of his eyes. they were trapped in the debris and were about to get hit by the Golem's attack.

Rats, they need my help. Satoshi thought as he jumped back in front of them and conjured a wave of energy and fired it at the Golem. It was pushed back momentarily, but stood on its feet and was about to come back again for another attack.

Tch, that didn't work. Satoshi thought. He thought momentarily before he ran towards the Golem again, this time forming an energy blade on his left hand. He jumped towards the Golem swiftly and cut its arms off. The golem tilted its head toward Satoshi. Locking onto his new target, the robot began charging at Satoshi.

Landing on one of the buildings. Satoshi made one swift jump before finishing off the robot by 'decapitating' it. It fell to the ground with a large thud as Satoshi landed on the ground, and the energy blade faded from his hands.

"Are you guys okay?" Satoshi asked as he and a couple of other examinees removed the rubble from the surrounding area, and helped their competitors up.

The trapped examinees responded with swift and grateful nods as the buzzer sounded soon after.

"Thanks for saving our skin there."

"Yeah, that was awesome! You were a real superstar there."

"Hey no biggie, I'm just glad that you guys are doing okay," Satoshi said as helped them up.

Some of them were a bit injured so Satoshi helped heal them before a robot with a healing clinic arrived and moved them away. Satoshi responded with a smile when an elder lady approached him and the other examinees.

"Geez, is everyone here okay? Nobody sustained any bad injuries, right?" The old lady asked as she went around to monitor all the examinees.

"Thanks for asking. We're doing good."

"Yeah but mostly thanks to him. He really saved us there," some of the examinees said as the others nodded in unison.

The old lady chuckled and exchanged a few words with Satoshi before heading out of the arena, going to the other ones.

Satoshi gave a huge sigh of relief as the exam had now concluded. Taking a moment to recall everything that happened, he left the arena. He found a good spot to stay at, waiting for Serena and Izuku.

(A few moments later)

Satoshi looked into his phone, patiently waiting for Izuku and Serena, he didn't have to wait long before Serena approached him.

"Hey Sere-chi, have you seen Izuku?" Satoshi asked the honey-blonde as she sat down next to him.

"I haven't, it's been a while now. I wonder if he's doing all right," Serena pondered.

Their inquiry would soon be answered as a stretcher surrounded by medical professionals went by them. In the stretcher, they saw none other than Izuku lying down in it.

The duo couldn't believe their eyes as the stretcher entered an ambulance and drove to one of the main buildings.

"Well, I certainly hope he's okay," Satoshi mused.

"Hey, are you that green-haired boy's friend?" A girl with brown hair and the teen with glasses from earlier approached the duo.

"Yeah, he's our friend, why?" Serena asked.

"Well, he was in the same arena as us, and we saw firsthand how badly he was injured," the girl said.

"We noticed you sitting together and thought maybe you should know what happened," the teen added.

Satoshi and Serena listened carefully as the two teens proceeded to explain what had happened to Izuku. After the explanation was complete, the 4 students remained silent as they were trying to process everything that had happened.

"That sounds awful, though I am relieved to hear that you are safe because of him," Satoshi said as he broke the silence.

"Yeah, it would have been horrible if you got badly hurt too," Serena said as she walked over to the brown-haired girl.

"Yeah, he really saved me out there, I owe him," the girl said, "by the way, my name is Ochaco Uraraka."

"And I am Tenya Iida," the tall black-haired boy introduced himself.

"I'm Serena Yvonne."

"Satoshi Ketchum."

"Well, the exam is over, so I guess now we wait for the results I guess," Tenya said.

"I should probably go, but good luck on your results," Ochaco added.

Satoshi and Serena reacted with big smiles as the 4 teens said goodbyes to each other and separated.

"Well, I guess we should go home now?" Satoshi asked.

"Yeah I'm starving, can't wait to grab some food," Serena said as she stretched her body out.

"Come over to my place, I'm sure my mom would be glad to whip something up for us," Satoshi suggested as his girlfriend was glad to oblige. The duo took off, eager to get some rest and take some time to relax

Now all they have to do is wait for their results to come.

(A few days later)

Satoshi opened the Ketchum residence mailbox and retrieved several envelopes that were contained within. He had been edging between the spectrum of excitement and being nervous about his results, and his curiosity was finally being satiated.

Satoshi ran into the kitchen and placed the mail on the table. He sorted out the mail, to find that there were 4 envelopes for his mother, then there was one with the U.A logo on it that was for himself.

"Mom, come on over?" Satoshi hollered, "I got a mail from U.A. High School."

Satoshi's mother, Hanako, rushed over and sat down at the table, excitement radiating from her face.

There was a device within the envelope, Satoshi took it out and placed it on the table. He pressed the play button and a holographic silhouette appeared. It was All Might that was delivering the message.

I AM HERE TO DELIVER THE GOOD NEWS!

Greetings Young Ketchum,

As you know, the U.A. entrance exam graded you on your ability to react to incoming robots and golem while acting in a civilian field. You scored an outstanding score of 70 Villain points in the field, which is more than enough to get you past the finish line, and for that I congratulate you, you have made it into U.A.

Satoshi and his mother were super excited to hear that he was accepted to the academy, however, they were on standby as the message was not completed, and they waited patiently.

You have shown much promise in the field, but what set you apart from some was your final act. The huge golem that was bearing down on your competition, even though those people were your competition, you had no obligation to help them, even though the golem was not going to kill them. But not knowing this, you still put yourself between them and rescued them.

This is what it means to be a hero, risking yourself for others at all times. With that you have secured an additional 50 rescue points, placing you as the highest-scoring examinee of the day. The judges, alongside myself, are excited about your performance at U.A. You have a bright future ahead of you.

Welcome to U.A. High School, Young Ketchum.

This is your Hero Academia.

The message ended promptly and the hologram retracted itself, leaving Satoshi and Hanako in a brief moment of silence.

"Well, congratulations, my dear boy." Hanako, congratulated, tears streaming down her face, "do your best out there, and just know that your father and I will always be supporting you."

"Thanks, mom, I won't disappoint you and dad," Satoshi cried out as the two joined together in a tight embrace.

"I know, you will make a great hero one day." Hanako acknowledged, "now, it's probably time to tell Serena and your father about the good news."

"I will," Satoshi stated, "we are planning on meeting up outside after dinner tonight. I'll leave telling dad to you, mom."

I kinda wish that dad was here to hear the news himself, but I understand that his Guardian work is also important.

(A few hours later)

"Satoshi! I made it! I got in!" Serena beamed as she was practically yelling into Satoshi's ear, "I got the second-highest score in the entrance exam. What about you? How did you do?"

"First of all, Congratulations! Second, I got the highest score out of everyone who took the exam!" Satoshi cheered proudly as they embraced each other, "I got 70 Villain points and 50 Rescue points, making it a total of 120 points. Looks like we're the power couple that is getting into the top Hero class!"

"Yep, we are going to rock this thing. I got a total of 105 points. 40 Villain points, and 55 Rescue points," Serena added, "By the way, have you heard anything from Izuku regarding his exam results? I sent him our good news via email yesterday but he has yet to respond to any of my messages. I wonder if he made it."

"I have heard back from him, apparently he scored 0 Villain points. But he did score some rescue points, I think it was 60 points, which was more than enough to let him pass," Satoshi pondered at the bizarre result that Izuku got, "in the meantime, I have to continue strengthening my abilities. I can't slack off now, I'm sure that Bakugo kid is angry that I performed better than he did again."

"Yeah, he would be mad." Serena laughed, "but he gets mad at just about everything and everyone."

"Right?!" Satoshi chuckled.

"Sana, Tierno, and Trova had their exam last week, and they all contacted me saying they got into Shiketsu High School," Serena pointed out.

"That is wonderful," Satoshi exclaimed, "we'll have to get together before the start of our High School days and celebrate our enrollment."

"That sounds like a great plan. What about your new ability 'Sapphire Blade', how are you doing with that?" Serena asked

"Ah, I've been thinking about the name, and I wondered if naming it 'Aura Blades' was better," Satoshi explained, "I am trying to make it a two-handed ability instead of one-handed, though the dual-wielding aspect of it still strains my arms frequently."

"Well, you only really mastered it about 10 months ago, and it is one of the most advanced abilities from your close-quarter combat training," Serena reminded, "just give it some time and keep improving on your physique.

"Yeah you're right, that's about all I can do." Satoshi sighed, "I guess if I use it more, the more my body will get used to the power."

"I agree, using the move more can reduce the strain, so now you know, the more you train, the more you get used to it, right?" Serena added.

"You're right Sere-chi," Satoshi said as he kissed her, "what will I do without you?"

"Oh shut up Satobean." Serena blushed as she returned the kiss and slapped him lightly on the shoulder. Though Satoshi and Serena remain focused in their little world, people all around them were staring at the young couple, shaking their heads in disapproval at the unsightly PDA scene.

"Hey, how about we go on a date tomorrow to celebrate the great news we have?" Serena asked.

"I would love to go on a date tomorrow, though there is something that I need to take care of first tonight," Satoshi said as he held Serena's hand tightly, "I'll see you at your house tomorrow at 1 in the afternoon?"

"Sure, I have to go home, it's late anyways, see you at 1 tomorrow," Serena said as she waved goodbye and darted towards her house.

"Alright, then, time to go to the usual spot." Satoshi thought as he walked towards the Takoba Seaside Bay. The night sky provided an unusual calmness to Satoshi. It's so quiet.

As he reached his destination, he saw All Might and Izuku talking to each other, deciding to prank them and give them a scare he jumped up and blasted 2 orbs towards them and then rushed towards their direction.

To his surprise, both of his orbs were flying back at him and he had to duck to dodge them, when he got up, he found himself at the mercy of All Might, who had held him up by the collar.

"Who dares attack me and my student at this hour?" He hollered.

"It's me All Might! It's Satoshi! Let go of me!" Satoshi yelled as he was tapping on All Might's hands.

"Oh my, Young Ketchum." All Might sweat-dropped as he placed Satoshi down, "I'm so sorry, I did not realize that it was you."

"It's all good, I probably deserved that for startling you two," Satoshi chuckled as he scratched the back of his head, he then turned to Izuku and held out a hand, "congrats Izuku, I know I told you yesterday, but I wanted to congratulate you in person for passing the entrance exam, looks like we're going to be schoolmates in U.A."

"Thanks, Satoshi, I still have a long ways to go," Izuku admitted.

"As do I, but we're rivals now, not just friends." Satoshi said in a serious tone, "I can't fall behind you now."

"What do you mean 'fall behind'?" Izuku chuckled, "you're the one who is far, far ahead of me."

"Because I've been doing this since I was 6," Satoshi reminded him, "but you have made so much progress in the last 10 months, I was here remember? Besides, you have All Might and a great quirk, you'll catch up to me in no time. Don't forget, you're the one who saved that Ochaco girl, you're a Hero already."

"He's right, you know, Young Midoriya." All Might said, "the strength of a Hero is not brute power alone, but the strength of the heart."

"You know, I saved people during the entrance exam." Satoshi added, "the old me would not have been done so without hesitation. But seeing you and your courage that day changed me. Your actions changed me. That is something I will always remember."

Izuku looked at Satoshi and smiled brightly, "Thank you, and you changed my life too. You were the first person to encourage me to chase my dream as a Hero."

"So that was you Young Ketchum?" All Might asked, "Young Midoriya talks about his friend who gave him the courage to be a Hero, looks like you two have affected each other already."

"Well, it seems like we have a lot to learn from each other." Satoshi said as he extended his hand again, "let's improve and push each other, as friends and as rivals."

Izuku smiled as he took that hand and shook it firmly.

"Well, I came here to offer my congratulations." Satoshi said, "with that done, I think I should go now."

"Now there, don't be a stranger. I have some news, Young Ketchum." All Might said as he placed a hand before Satoshi, stopping him from leaving.

"Oh really? What is it than All Might?" Satoshi asked as his interest has now been piqued.

"Yeah, I've been wondering about the good news too." Izuku wondered.

"I am glad to say that I will be a teacher at U.A starting this April." All Might announced.

"Wow, that is great news All Might," Izuku exclaimed.

"What class will you be teaching?" Satoshi asked.

"You'll have to find out." All Might shook his finger, "now let's go for a run!"

As All Might took off, Satoshi and Izuku looked at each other and chuckled and they quickly followed him. The trio continued to run and engage in conversation as the night passed on, talking about their plans till April.

This flame of One For All will die in me someday, and Young Midoriya will inherit it fully someday. I will do my best to guide and instruct Young Midoriya till then, and hopefully, Young Ketchum will be there every step of the way to help him.

(U.A. High School in April)

It was finally here. The fateful first day of school!

Normally this was the worst day, where students scrambled out of bed as they were robbed from sleeping in. The luxury of taking their sweet time to get prepared for the day had all but evaporated. All leisurely movements and slow stretches have turned into dramatic sprints as they prepared for a busy new schedule. Such is the dread that returning students feel.

But not Izuku, not today. Not any other day. This was the day he started his journey to learning to become a Hero.

As Izuku composed himself, taking in the enormous halls of U.A. High School, he can help but be flabbergasted at the size and well-decorated halls.

That was U.A. for you, and Izuku couldn't help but marvel at the idea that he was now a student in the most prestigious Hero school in Japan, or perhaps even the world. Everything that Izuku had ever dreamed of, everything that he ever had hoped of. It would start today.

He glanced at one of the classrooms and saw that it read Class 1-A, he quickly ran towards the door, but before he opened the door, he gulped as he had heard yelling from inside the door. He took a deep breath, trying to ignore his nerves as he quickly opened the door.

There was a moment of silence as the center of attention was unpleasantly and unwillingly thrust onto Izuku, before he could even make a move, he located an empty seat behind Bakugo, much to his dismay.

"You-You're the other contestant from the entrance exam," Tenya walked towards Izuku, "My name is Tenya Iida. I want to apologize for my words the other day. I'm ashamed that I doubted your abilities, you figured something out in the test that let you pass the test and proved yourself to be worthy of this school. Please accept my most sincere apologies." Tenya Iida hollered as he bowed his head apologetically.

"I-It's okay. I-I wasn't really mad at you or anything." Izuku said quickly as he waved his hands frantically. Also, to be honest, I didn't figure out anything, ahaha. Izuku thought as he turned to walk towards his seat.

"HUH?! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE YOU STUPID DAMN NERD DEKU! YOU THINK YOU DESERVE TO BE HERE HUH?!" Katsuki yelled at Izuku, who was walking to his seat.

"K-Kacchan, stop it," Izuku tried to stop him from arguing but Bakugo just glared at him with murderous intent.

"Bakugo-kun, you cannot talk to your classmates like this, stop this at once," Tenya said as he waved his hands in front of Katsuki.

"SHUT IT FOUR-EYES!" Katsuki spat, "he is nowhere near the best, I did much better than he did anyways."

"You know, I could say the same thing to you, Katsuki," Satoshi retorted as he walked up to defend Izuku, "you're not even the best student around here. Don't forget that you've lost to me twice now. First a few years ago, and now at the points from the entrance exam."

"WHAT DID YOU SAY, YOU BASTARD?" Katsuki snapped back, "I'LL KILL YOU, DAMN NERD."

"Yeah, that's what you said to him a few years ago, and Satoshi knocked the air right out of your lungs." Serena countered coldly, "chill out Katsuki if you know what's good for you."

"HUH- WHAT DID YOU SAY?"

"Are you all done here? It is class time now you know." a monotone voice started that silenced the room.

"About time, you know it took you guys longer than I expected to shut it," A man with long messy black hair said as he walked into the room encased in a yellow sleeping bag, "I am Mr. Shota Aizawa, your homeroom teacher. This is your first lesson at U.A and we will be starting our first class on the training grounds, so go put on these uniforms and meet me outside, you have 5 minutes."

(5 minutes later)

1-A class changed into their P.E. uniforms and quickly gathered on the training field where Aizawa was currently waiting. As the class gathered, Aizawa began explaining the activity they were about to perform.

"Wait- a Quirk Assessment exercise?" Tenya asked after Aizawa briefed the whole class.

"But wasn't that done from the entrance exam?" Satoshi asked.

"You are right, Ketchum. But as your teacher, I want to take a look at your quirks in action, on a close and personal level," Aizawa explained, "this is so I can discern whether or not you are in control or can somewhat manage your quirks."

"But what about our orientation? We're going to miss that," Ochaco pointed out, as the class shared her concern.

"You should concern yourself with trivia announcements and useless information," Aizawa answered coldly, causing the hair to raise from the back of the students, "you guys are here as future Hero students, it will be better if you all focus on the here and now."

"Any more questions?" Aizawa asked as the class shook their heads and remained silent.

"That's what I thought. First up, we're going to have a demonstration," Aizawa said, "Mr. Hotshot. Katsuki Bakugo, what was your highest result for softball throw in P.E class in Junior High?"

"Uhhh, I think it's 67 meters," Katsuki answered.

"And that was a record that you got without using your quirk right?" Aizawa asked as Katsuki nodded.

"As expected of the rules of Junior High, as backward as they were," Aizawa commented, "I'll have you know that here at U.A., we will be using our quirks for these fitness exercises."

"Bakugo, give me your best shot, with your quirk. Be sure to stay in the circle." Aizawa instructed as Katsuki gave a firm nod.

He walked over to the batter position in the circle, getting ready for this demonstration.

I'll add some explosion into this throw, a blast should do the trick. He took a deep breath and leaned back.

"SHINEEEEEEEEEEEE" He yelled as he vaulted the ball high up into the sky, it flew up high and landed on the ground a few moments later.

Shi-SHINEEEE? Izuku, Satoshi, Serena, and Tenya all sweat-dropped at the usage of inappropriate vocabulary from their classmate.

"That was not so bad Bakugo, do you guys understand why we are doing this?" Aizawa asked, he had expected an answer from some of the students in the class, but most of the class just stared at him with blank expressions on their faces.

Aizawa sighed at the apparent lack of competence from the class. What a bunch of clueless idiots. "Knowing your maximum result can be a good starting point to pave your way to becoming a Hero," Aizawa explained as he showed the class the result of Katsuki's throw.

"705.2 meters?" Satoshi exclaimed, wow that is super far, I'm impressed Katsuki.

"Well isn't this starting to become interesting?" One of the students commented.

"Yeah looks like it'll be fun we can use our quirks to do all these activities." Another classmate added.

Everyone in the class started muttering excitedly except for Satoshi, Serena, Tenya, Izuku, and Katsuki. They looked around and sighed as this excitement was probably not going to end well for them. Their thoughts came to fruition as Aizawa quickly spoke up in response to the exciting expressions coming from his students.

"Interesting, you say? Fun, you say? " Aizawa smirked, causing the students to shut up and stare at him with worried expressions. Oh, the 360-degree turn, "Is this what you guys think this is, a joke? You guys aren't taking this Hero thing seriously enough are you?"

Aizawa looked at them coldly, his dull and uninterested eyesight removing all the excitement and comfort out of the area. He took one glance around all the classmates, stopping at Bakugo, Serena, Satoshi, and Izuku.

"You all have 3 years to become Pro Heroes. Do you think that every step of the way is going to be fun and interesting? Oh my, you youngsters have no idea what the heck you have signed up for and I will be giving you the all-important reality check."

"We will now be conducting a Quirk Assessment Examination. You will be doing 10 activities that demonstrate to me your ability to use your quirk effectively. Oh, and the person who scores the lowest points will be expelled from U.A effective immediately."

At that moment, everyone's spirit in the class dropped.

"E-expulsion? A-already?" One of the students repeated in a dramatically horrified tone.

"Isn't that a bit too harsh Mr. Aizawa? This is only our first day here!" A distressed Ochaco asked.

"Harsh? You have no idea what's harsh, young lady," Aizawa answered as he wore a sadistic expression on his face, "now then, shall we get started?!"

Class 1-A all nodded as Aizawa split the students up and instructed them to move to different locations to perform different activities.

(A few moments later)

The students had broken off to different activities, all nervous about the prospect of expulsion, but whatever emotion they were feeling, they knew they had to tough it out and continue moving forward.

The first activity in the examination is the 50-meter dash.

The first pair that went were Satoshi and Tenya. The duo waited for the signal before taking off, running as fast as they could. Using the engines in his legs, Tenya boosted himself with unbelievable speeds and managed a 3.05-second dash while Satoshi managed to run just faster than 4-seconds.

Serena and Ochaco stepped up to the line, both of them using their quirks to modify the way they travel. Serena used her quirk to hover above the ground while Ochaco made herself lighter netting them a 5.5-second and 6.5-second score respectively.

Izuku and Katsuki were next, as the duo got ready to run. Using his explosive power, Katsuki soared through the air, ending at the finish line in about 4.03 seconds. Izuku, meanwhile, did not use OFA in this exercise, opting to just run it out, and he scored a measly 6.62 seconds.

Throughout this whole process, Aizawa was observing the student's performances, and his attention stayed on one student in particular.

Izuku.

He was filled with doubt regarding his abilities and was slowly concluding that the teen did not belong in his class.

The class continued with the examinations, with Satoshi, Serena, and Ochaco getting reasonably high scores in every category. Meanwhile, Izuku fell more and more behind due to his unwillingness to use his quirk.

The most pivotal moment of the exercises came as the students were currently on the Ball Throwing exercise

"Alright, come one now, the only students who haven't completed this exercise are Ketchum and Midoriya." Aizawa said, "Midoriya, you go first."

Izuku looked at him and nodded as he walked towards the batter position. He held the ball in his hand and took a deep breath. I can't do much even with One For All, All Might said it's either 100% or 0%, basically all-in or nothing. Okay, stop thinking, just do it.

Izuku felt the power of One For All surge in his body, but he wasn't the only one who observed its activation. Aizawa looked at him and was unpleasantly disturbed at his usage of such an unreliable quirk.

One For All 100%! Go! Izuku threw the ball with all his might, but as the ball left his hands, he felt no extra power releasing from his hands. As a result, the ball landed a mere 40-plus meters away from him. What the heck? I was sure I used the power of One For All. Izuku thought.

"You idiot!" was the voice Izuku heard before he was approached by Aizawa, "you aren't able to use your quirk because I erased it."

"I can't believe the entrance exam had such flaws, that such a useless and incompetent student like YOU could be accepted into U.A." Aizawa scolded as he drowned Izuku with criticism.

The students started to murmur as they began to figure out who Aizawa was. He was Eraser Head, one of the more low-profile Heroes who was mainly active during the later hours of the day.

Satoshi could not believe that his friend was being insulted. The raven-haired teen wanted to run over Aizawa and give him a piece of his mind. But before he could even make a move, Serena pulled him back.

"Why are you stopping me, Serena?" Satoshi asked her angrily.

"Calm down, Satoshi. You have to let Izuku fight his own battles, you can't solve everything for him you know," Serena advised.

"But I can't just let him-" Satoshi retorted.

"No buts Satoshi, we need to let him figure this out on his own," Serena added, "we had to learn to manage our quirks by ourselves when we were younger. Everything here has done that, except for him. He needs to do the same thing for his own sake."

Satoshi stayed silent at her comment and looked on as Aizawa continued to scold Izuku.

"What kind of Hero will you make if all you can do is use one move? Huh? One move, then to have the rest of us take care of you, while you end up being an incapacitated burden? You won't get far with this quirk if you keep hurting yourself," Aizawa sighed as he closed his eyes.

Izuku looked down as every word coming from Aizawa's mouth stung, but they rang with complete truth. He couldn't continue onward like this, especially since he would become a burden to those around him.

"I have returned your quirk," Aizawa states as the crimson aura filling his eyes dissipated, "you have one more chance. Stop wasting our time and get this over with so Ketchum can get his turn."

Izuku looked at Aizawa and then looked at Satoshi. Satoshi gave him a firm nod and pointed at his hand then at his finger. Izuku did not understand, but he took a look at his hand, and in that moment of revelation, he remembered something.

All might told me that when I used 100% of One For All during the entrance exam, I broke my arm and leg because I used them the whole way, but what if there was another way of using my body without sustaining heavy damage to the point of incapacitation.

Izuku took one more look at Satoshi and his finger. I couldn't control the power of One For All on my hands. But I don't have to, if I can minimize the damage while maximizing the output, I could release it at 100%, and at least I can still move the rest of them without becoming incapacitated.

He then thrust his arm back and went into throwing position. All I can do now is do what I can, and that is to try my best to become a hero! Thank you All Might! Thank you, Satoshi! I have an idea about how to control my quirk now.

Izuku thrust the ball high into the air and after a few moments, it crashed back down swiftly.

Aizawa's device buzzed with the result and he looked down to see the result of 705.3 meters. When he looked up to check on Izuku, he saw that the teen could move his hand around freely and was not incapacitated.

This kid is something huh. A wide smile grew on Aizawa's face.

Katsuki, however, was not taking this result well.

"Hey, damn nerd, how could you have done better than I did huh? What are you hiding? Have you been lying to me about being quirkless you little bastard!" He yelled as he shot like a bullet towards Izuku, his hands crackling with explosive energy.

Satoshi started to run after him to stop him, but before Katsuki reached Izuku, he was constricted and held by Aizawa's cloth band.

"If you use your quirk to attack your classmates in my class again, you will be expelled on the spot. Good grief, making me use my quirk like that." Aizawa threatened as Katsuki was struggling to get out of the cloth, Aizawa kept him constricted for a bit before releasing him, "I HAVE DRY EYES YOU KNOW."

Izuku and Satoshi sweat-dropped and took a deep breath, calming their nerves. Satoshi took this opportunity to walk up to Izuku and converse with him, congratulating him on his efforts.

"Enough chatter from you all. Ketchum, you're up now, get a move on," Aizawa said as he moisturized his eyes with some eye-drop fluid.

Satoshi nodded and left Izuku to walk towards the batter position, he picked up the ball and held it in his hands, and took a moment to take a deep breath.

All right, here goes. Satoshi thought as he channeled aura energy within his palm, he leaned back and concentrated all his energy on his left arm. When he reached a satisfactory power level, he proceeded to thrust the ball into the sky, it landed a few moments later and Aizawa got the final result of the class.

"Impressive, you got the second-highest score for this, at 710.4 meters after Ochaco's infinity score," Aizawa praised, "you seem to have a firm grasp on how to control your quirk, Ketchum, I like what I see."

The rest of the activities continued forward as Satoshi, Izuku, Serena, and Ochaco continued to move forward.

The class was instructed to complete sit-ups, pull-ups, and long-distance running, all of which drained the students heavily. Izuku in particular was especially tired and was unable to perform well in any of the remaining activities due to the pain that lingered in his finger.

Aizawa gave a few more announcements before showing the final results of the Quirk Assessment examination in a holographic projector.

"The Top 3 scorers of this quirk examination are, in order, Momo Yaoyorozu, Shoto Todoroki, and Satoshi Ketchum. The student in the last place is Izuku Midoriya."

Izuku could not believe his ears. Wait?! Does this mean that I am expelled already?!

"Now, all of you, get back into the classroom for your next class," He announced sternly, taking one last glance at Izuku, "You too Midoriya, get going."

"W-wait, b-but I thought you said that, that the las-"

"The last place scorer gets expelled?" Aizawa repeated, "of course, that was just a lie to get you all to achieve the upper limits of your abilities."

The whole class looked at Aizawa with a blank expression.

"Of course, that makes a lot of sense from a logical point if you give it some thought." The highest scorer Momo Yaoyorozu pointed out nonchalantly.

"Anyways, everyone return to the classroom," Aizawa instructed, "Midoriya, go get yourself healed in the infirmary."

(Present time, with Aizawa)

Aizawa turned a corner and walked by the school building. As he turned the corner, thoughts flooded his mind as he contemplated what had occurred today.

"Aizawa you sly liar," a voice called to him as the low profile Hero sighed.

"Enjoy the view are we, All Might?" Aizawa asked, "how can I be of service?"

"Now, now, no need to be jumpy," All Might said.

"Fine, I'll be blunt," Aizawa interjected, "what do you want, All Might?"

"While I don't agree with your methods, I would have never put it past you to be a liar," All Might states, "in the past, you have failed entire classes for their lack of potential, yet you have decided to keep Young Midoriya around, does that mean that you also sense his potential?"

"Hmm, 'also' you say," Aizawa chuckled as he turned around to face All Might, "Teaching 101, don't pick favorites among your students. It's taboo."

All Might flinched slightly as he realized he might have just given himself away, but he maintained the cheerful smile on his face, trying not to break character.

"I made this decision because the boy had potential, as did the rest of the class," Aizawa said with a grunt, "especially the raven-haired boy Ketchum, and the honey-blonde girl, Yvonne."

All Might is surprised to find out that Aizawa paid attention to the duo of Satoshi and Serena, who are both shining stars in their own ways.

"Along with Midoriya, they are oozing in potential, and something tells me that they will achieve great things," Aizawa said.

"I think we can agree on that, they do shine pretty brightly," All Might said.

"Anyway, I didn't fail them because they had potential, and they had their dreams," Aizawa added, "and there is nothing crueler than denying someone the opportunity to fulfill their dreams."

Aizawa then began to walk away from All Might.

"That's all there is to it."

As the Erasure Hero left him, All Might's expression softened as he glanced toward the sky.

"Well, it seems that you do have your soft side huh, Aizawa," he grinned, as he began to walk away.

Although, it seems we still don't quite get along does it?

(With Izuku in the building)

As Izuku walked towards the infirmary, Satoshi and Serena waved at him to come over to them. Gladly accepting the invitation, Izuku smiled as he joined the duo.

"That was so cool, man you surprise me every day!" Serena said.

"Thanks, it was really nothing," Izuku said.

"I agree, it was certainly illuminating," Satoshi added, "now, let me see your finger."

Izuku nodded as he held out his injured finger. Satoshi reached his right hand out and gently touched the injured finger. An emerald aura traveled from his palms to Izuku's finger, beginning the healing process. Roughly 5 minutes later, Satoshi removed his hand. Izuku waved his finger around and smiled as he could barely feel any pain in his finger.

"Thanks a lot, Satoshi," Izuku said.

"Of course, d-don't mention it." Satoshi was a bit fatigued as he wiped off the sweat from his forehead.

"Are you okay?" Serena asked with concern.

"Y-yeah, I'm just not used to doing all this exercise and then healing this much damage from injuries in the past," Satoshi stated.

"What do you mean?" Izuku asked.

"My quirk comes from the ability to tap into the energy around us," Satoshi explained, "even though I have some control of this energy, using it a lot can stress out my body. As I have not made as much progress in healing, I am weaker in that area compared to my combat abilities."

"But, if you train it enough, you could even be better at Recovery girl at healing injuries!" Serena exclaimed.

"Not a chance," Satoshi answered quickly, surprising Izuku, "her healing power is very different from mine."

"How so?" Izuku asked.

"It is much riskier for me to heal others than it is for Recovery girl," Satoshi answered.

"What do you mean?" Izuku asked.

"Well, my quirk operates like energy flowing through a conduit, and I am that conduit. There are soft limits that are set on me," Satoshi explained, "As I train myself, I can break those limits, but when they affect my body, I have to stop. Just like all the other heroes."

"In this case, the healing power drains my life force so I can transfer it to others." Satoshi continued, "Recovery girl uses the life force of the injured person to hasten the healing process, her process may take longer for some injuries compared to the potential mine has, but it carries no risk whatsoever, as it doesn't jeopardize her life."

"I'm sensing a but here," Izuku said as Satoshi merely lowered his head.

"But mine, if used recklessly, can seriously hurt me. Or... perhaps it can even kill me."

(At the end of the day)

"Hey! You guys! Wait for me!"

Satoshi, Serena, Izuku, and Tenya were walking out the school entrance when they heard a voice call them, they turned around and saw Ochaco running towards them.

"Are you guys going to the bus station, can I tag along with you guys?" Ochaco asked.

"Of course, the more the merrier," Izuku replied.

"My name is Ochaco Uraraka by the way," Ochaco introduced herself to Satoshi, Serena, and Tenya, "and you must be Satoshi Ketchum, Serena Yvonne, Tenya Iida, and Deku Midoriya, right?"

"D-Deku?" Izuku gasped at the girl's usage of his nickname.

"Yeah, that's what the blonde guy, Katsuki, called you right? Deku Midoriya, right?" Ochaco asked, "though he did say it in a kind of scary way, to be completely honest."

"Oh no, that's just a nickname Kacchan uses to make fun of me," Izuku explained quickly, "my actual name is Izuku Midoriya."

"Ohhh my, I'm so sorry, I didn't know," Ochaco said, "but I think 'Deku' is kind of cool."

"Huh?!"

"Yeah, you know, cuz Deku sounds like the Japanese phrase 'you can do it!', so I think it can be a super wonderful nickname to have," Ochaco exclaimed, pumping her fists.

Deku couldn't believe it, this was the first time that someone praised his nickname.

"Y-YOU CAN C-CALL ME DEKU!" Izuku hollered, surprising Satoshi, Serena, and Tenya, who looked at him with gaped mouths.

"Wait, Midoriya?!"

"Are you sure Izuku?" Serena asked.

"Yes, I'm sure. And you guys can also call me Deku too if you want to." Izuku said.

"I'll stick with Izuku, but I'm glad that someone made you happy with that nickname." Satoshi grinned, "it's been a thorn to your side for far too long."

"Alright, let's go then!" Ochaco cheered as the group continued walking towards the bus station.

(The next afternoon at U.A. High School)

"I AM HERE!" All Might announced as he popped his head through the class 1-A door, "walking through the classroom door like a normal human being."

The whole 1-A class buzzed with excitement as they were face to face with All Might, the No. 1 Pro Hero.

"ALL MIGHT!" The whole class greeted him.

"Hello wonderful young Heroes-to-be," All Might exclaimed, "this is your 'Basics in Hero Training' class, and I will serve as your teacher today. I will be teaching you the fundamentals of becoming a Hero in this class. This will be the most important lesson you will be taking at U.A. Our first lesson will be taught in the field, and you will be doing..."

The whole class looked at him with excited glances.

"...combat training!" All Might said as he held out a poster with those two words on it."

The whole class muttered in excitement as All Might pointed to the left side of the room.

"Now then, in this training exercise, you are allowed to wear the Hero costumes you asked U.A. to prepare for you when you submitted your quirk registrations!" All Might pointed out as a few columns emerged from the walls, containing the equipment for all the students in the room.

"Now, change into your Hero costumes and meet me at the Arena Ground Beta." All Might said.

(10 minutes later)

"Alright class, this is how the exercise will go," All Might began to give a brief explanation as he observes the various costumes worn by class 1-A, "normally this first-class deals with urban battles as per the Basic Hero Training course, but I have decided to jump a few steps, especially since this class shows promise."

The class muttered a bit at the change in the curriculum before All Might brought back their attention.

"When you normally see the news about villain attacks what do you notice about the setting of the attack?" All Might asked.

Momo eagerly raised her hand as All Might called on her.

"They happen where there are many people?" Momo answered.

"Close," All Might said, "while populated and with more people, the news general covers attacks that are seen outside. Don't be fooled though, the real bulk of villain attack rates are from indoor criminal activity. Some examples are house arrest, theft, and many more. There are many villains out there, and the truly smart, cunning, and crafty ones operate away from the sight of the news. They strike in the darkness."

The class looked at All Might and took in what he said with the utmost concentration.

"As there are 22 of you, you will be divided into 2 groups of 11 each, 8 of you will split up into four 2-person groups and the remaining three will be in one group."

"Listen carefully, the villains have a weapon hidden in their hideout and are trying to transfer it away. The heroes' goal is to defeat the villains or outmaneuver them and retrieve the weapon before the time limit; the villains' goal is to capture the heroes or defend the weapon before the time limit."

"Your teams and opponents will be determined by drawing lots, that is all for this training exercise." All Might concludes as he pulled out a box.

"That makes sense, Pro Heroes have to work with other agencies and heroes out in the field, so it feels very realistic as far as a team-up goes." Izuku pointed out.

As the class took turns drawing lots, the teams were split as follows:

Team A: Izuku Midoriya & Ochaco Uraraka & Serena Yvonne;

Team B: Toru Hagakure & Mashirao Ojiro;

Team C: Minoru Mineta & Momo Yaoyorozu;

Team D: Koji Koda & Rikido Sato;

Team E: Shoto Todoroki & Mezo Shoji;

Team F: Denki Kaminari & Kyoka Jiro;

Team G: Fumikage Tokoyami & Tsuyu Asui;

Team H: Katsuki Bakugo & Tenya Iida & Satoshi Ketchum;

Team I: Eijiro Kirishima & Hanta Sero;

Team J: Mina Ashido & Yuga Aoyama.

"All right, with the teams picked, we will now pick the first team that will be the villains." All Might reached into the raffle box and picked up the ball that read 'Team H'.

"Given that Team H consists of 3 people, their opponents will be Team A," All Might declares loudly, "Team A will be the Heroes, and Team H will be villains. Both teams will have a few minutes of preparation and everyone else will head over to the monitor room. Now let's get this started you zygotes!"

(With Katsuki, Satoshi and Tenya)

Katsuki, Tenya, and Satoshi left the field and went into the building that All Might appointed them to. The trio looked at the weapon, it was shaped like a bomb, and tried to come up with a plan to defend it...or that was what they would have done, but Katsuki had other ideas.

"You extras stay here and guard this thing, I will go find Deku and beat him up." Katsuki declared as he began walking towards the door.

"Oh no, you don't." Satoshi hollered as he zoomed across him and blocked Katsuki's path.

"GET OUT OF MY WAY!" Katsuki yelled.

"Katsuki, I will say this only once." Satoshi threatened, "I have beaten you up once before, I will do it again. We will form a plan, and you WILL stay with me and Tenya until then. I am not letting your bruised little ego for a pointless rivalry with Izuku get in the way of Tenya nor my hero training."

"Try to stop me, you stupid nerd, I'd like to see you try." Katsuki taunted as he pushed Satoshi aside and flew out of the room without turning his head.

Satoshi sighed as he walked toward Tenya, "so what are we supposed to do about him? We can't do this down a man," Satoshi shook his head.

"I don't think w get a say in this. I think our best option is just to ignore him, as unfortunate as it is. Let's just get ready to defend the weapon, Satoshi," Tenya said as the duo started discussing a strategy.

"We can assume that Bakugo will target Midoriya," Tenya started, "that means that our friends Yvonne and Uraraka will probably come for the weapon. How will we be able to stop them?"

"I would track them with my aura sense, but that leaves me vulnerable to surprise attacks. Until I hone that ability further, we will have to rely on our normal senses," Satoshi stated.

"If we can take advantage of the damage that Katsuki does, then perhaps we can turn this to our advantage," Tenya added.

"But in such a compact space, Serena's abilities will be hard to deal with," Satoshi pointed out, "I worry that we may not have enough space to maneuver."

"And if either of us gets hit by Ochaco's quirk, we're done," Tenya said.

"Well, then how would this work?" The boys scratched their heads, trying their best to come up with a proper plan.

(Meanwhile with Izuku, Ochaco, and Serena in the building)

"It's awfully quiet here," Ochaco said as the trio kept shifting their gazes, keen on observing their surroundings.

"Don't get distracted, we may have to" Serena was cut off as Izuku pushed both her and Ochaco out of the way as a blast came their way.

"Oi nerd Deku, don't you dare dodge my attacks." Katsuki threatened.

Deku had to jump away and as the group expected, Katsuki ignored the girls and went straight for him. Katsuki couldn't go far though as he ran face-first into an invisible wall, courtesy of Serena.

"I don't know what you thinking you're doing, underestimating us like that," Serena spat, "but you need to take this seriously, Katsuki."

(In the Monitor room)

"Woah, Woah, Woah. Ganging up on Katsuki, that's not manly at all," Eijiro commented with a huff.

"I mean, that Katsuki guy has himself to blame for trying to go headfirst into a 1 versus 3 situation," Shoto reminded, "maybe if he used his brain and asked for back-up, he wouldn't find himself in this sticky spot."

"He's far too reckless, this might be over already," Momo added.

"For now, let's just see what they are planning for now," All Might comments, gesturing the students to be silent.

(With Izuku, Serena, Ochaco and Katsuki)

"You girls need to find the holding room and retrieve the weapon, we only have so much time, and we can't all use it to fight Kacchan," Izuku said.

"Are you sure Deku?" Ochaco asked, "he can take him together."

"There's not enough time, just go, I got this," Izuku reassured.

The girls looked at him for a moment and ran off towards the holding room.

"Well, looks like it's just you and me now huh you damn nerd?" Katsuki gritted his teeth, "get ready to be pummeled."

(With Satoshi and Tenya)

"Alright, so we're just going to move it around with our superior speed in the room." Tenya restated.

"Yes, between you, me, and though I don't want to admit it, Katsuki, we are 3 of the fastest students in the class barring perhaps Izuku," Satoshi reminded Tenya.

"But he's occupied with Katsuki," Tenya said, "this leaves you and me, and we have the speed advantage.

"Right, we just need to make sure that the weapon doesn't get touched by Ochaco, so all we have to do is buy as much time as possible," Satoshi said as the duo finalized their defense plan.

They began pacing throughout the room, waiting for any signs of movement from the outside. Satoshi placed an aura barrier on the door, intertwining the energy like a web.

"You can do that?" Tenya asked.

"Oh there's a lot of things my quirk can do," Satoshi said, "it's quite the versatile one. But I'm one kind of jack of all trades, not quite the fastest nor the strongest, though I have the potential to be. For example, compared to you, I may never be faster than you if we keep improving at the same pace, but that doesn't mean I can't get close."

They soon heard footsteps as they are being approached by the 'Heroes'.

"Well, chit-chat time is over, time to focus," Tenya said.

"You don't have to tell me twice," Satoshi grinned.

The walls began to shift around them as Serena was controlling them, she opened a way for Uraraka and herself to enter the room.

"Well, I didn't know she could do that," Tenya gasped.

"I didn't either, so I guess she can," Satoshi smirked as he was impressed with his girlfriend's newly learned abilities.

The duo of boys eyed the girl and waited for them to move. Without warning, Serena blasted a wave of wind toward Uraraka, sending her flying toward the boys. The boys reacted almost instantly, carrying the weapon and dodging around her. They continued this acrobatic sequence for a while, neither gaining much space.

Uraraka jumped backward and Serena mouthed 'plan B' to her, nodding, Uraraka ran towards the guys in an old-fashioned manner, on foot. The guys continuously tried to dodge, but Satoshi was aware of the plan.

"Beware of the space around you," Satoshi warned, "Serena can create invisible barriers using air molecules to block our advance, I will sniff them out so you can keep running."

Satoshi proceeded to fire a wave of energy around him, into the remaining areas of the room, the wave impacted the barrier, revealing its location as the barrier blocked the attack, Uraraka also had to dodge as the energy wave can harm her.

(With the students in the monitor room)

"Wow, Satoshi's quirk is super reliable, it can do so many things. But Tenya is matching his pace perfectly with his speed and flexibility." Minoru Mineta praised.

"But even then they're being cautious around each other, causing them to be pushed back by Serena and Ochaco's advances," Denki added.

"The girls are forcing them into a corner, this may prove to be hard for the boys," Mina said.

"I think that, despite their careful demeanor, they are still being a bit too careless," Momo commented, "if that were a real weapon, they may have activated it with all their movement."

"Mr. All Might, what do you think?" Tsuyu asked.

"Well, we will have to see, don't we?" All Might grinned as his focus was fixated on the screen.

"This certainly is intense," Eijiro stated.

"And they're not the only ones fighting hard, look at Young Midoriya and Young Bakugo." All Might pointed out.

"You mean the two clueless guys fighting each other," Shoto commented with a blank expression, "one's a chicken and the other has no regard for his environment and shows no sign or cooperative spirit."

(Back with Satoshi, Tenya, Serena, and Ochaco)

"Okay, this is beginning to get worse and worse, we need to get the weapon quickly or time will run out," Serena said. Ochaco was going to say something until she heard a message come from Izuku. They both jumped back and ran towards a pillar and grabbed onto them.

Satoshi and Tenya were puzzled at their sudden retreat, but then they found out why, and by then, it was too late. The floor beneath them collapsed as a huge shock wave blew through the floor, ripping apart its foundation.

"It's Izuku's attack! We need to gain a foothold," Tenya hollered at Satoshi.

They were hard-pressed to do anything as Ochaco manipulated the weight of the debris and sent them flying at the boys. Satoshi tried his best to stop himself from falling, jumping from one piece of debris to the other while dodging the projectiles. Tenya had no such agility and had to stay on his feet, Serena stood up via her manipulation of air to fly and bumped into Tenya, leaving the weapon open for Ochaco.

Taking this opportunity, Ochaco jumped towards the weapon, Satoshi saw her and decided to chase after her, though he traveled at a decent speed, he was further away from the weapon and was barely unable to stop her from reaching the weapon. At 5 seconds until the time limit, Ochaco retrieved the weapon as Satoshi crashed into her.

"Match over! The winner of this round is the Hero Team!" All Might announced as the match was over.

Satoshi sighed for a moment as this was his first loss. He quickly shook his head and cleared his mind. He looked around and found Ochaco, making sure she wasn't hurt. He stood up immediately and offered Ochaco a hand to get up with.

"Are you okay Ochaco? You're not hurt right?" Satoshi asked.

"Yeah, thanks Satoshi, sorry about the whole mess of a place." Ochaco apologized.

"Don't be, that was surprising and congratulations on the win," Satoshi exclaimed.

They didn't take long to recover as they ran to Serena and Tenya, neither of which were hurt badly. Tenya had shielded himself above Serena to prevent any remaining debris from landing on her, luckily for the two of them, the damage was minimal.

After regrouping, Satoshi healed the minor injuries that the three of them sustained, and they all walked downstairs to find their teammates. They didn't have much trouble in that area as they arrived at the lower floors to find a raging Katsuki yelling at Izuku.

"What's with you, huh? Have you been lying to me this whole damn time?" Katsuki yelled as he was holding Izuku up by his collar, demanding a response from the almost unconscious teen.

Satoshi was furious and moved towards him. Ochaco and Serena tried to pull him back, worried that he might do something regrettable, but he turned around and gave them a sharp look.

Shocked by his gaze, the girls let him go quickly. Satoshi moved swiftly to Katsuki and whacked him on the shoulder "LET. HIM. GO. NOW."

Satoshi warned as Katsuki dropped Izuku and turned around, provocatively eyeing him.

"You damn nerd, you had one job to do. You and the glasses nerd were supposed to defend the damn weapon while I beat up Deku, and you couldn't even get that done." Katsuki taunted, "you two are damn useless."

"Say that again, I dare you." Satoshi threatened.

"You think I'm afraid of you, damn nerd? You might want to rethink that-" Katsuki didn't even get to finish his sentence when Satoshi punched him in the face, Katsuki crashed to the ground, clutching his face in pain.

"Stay away from Izuku you insufferable bully," Satoshi warned as he gave Izuku a piggyback and left the premise. Tenya, Serena, and Ochaco watched him leave and then glared at Katsuki before following Satoshi. Bakugo managed to sit up and held his cheek as it was aching, he stood up slowly and followed them outside.

As they walked outside, the 6 students saw that the rest of their classmates had already arrived.

"Are you all well?" All Might asked.

"Yes, Midoriya is the only one badly injured, he needs to be healed," Tenya said, "the 5 of us are doing okay, I don't know about Katsuki though."

"I'm fine 4-eyes," Katsuki responded quickly with a grunt, holding his bruised face.

"Well then, let's get Young Midoriya to Recovery girl at once," All Might advised. Satoshi nodded as he gently placed Izuku on the ground and let him rest.

"Now then. Let's quickly analyze this match before moving on to the next one." All Might instructed.

After an unbelievably awkward breakdown of the strengths and weaknesses of each member in the first round courtesy of Momo, the rest of the groups went on to do the exercise.

45 minutes later, the class had ended with all the teams completing the exercise. All Might declared the end of the lesson and dismissed the students, instructing them to change and return to their homeroom. He raced over to the nurse's office to deliver the feedback to Deku.

(A few hours later)

Recovery girl released Izuku from the nurse's office late in the afternoon and he returned to the classroom. Though he had made a full recovery, he was drained of all energy as he walked slowly back to Class 1-A.

As he entered the room, he was greeted by Satoshi, Serena, and his classmates, some of which are super excited about his performance and praised him for this performance.

"Wow, you were super awesome there! You managed to go toe-to-toe with Katsuki," Mina stated.

"Yeah, even though you got pretty roughed up, you still stayed in it and gave it your best shot, that's awesome!" Tsuyu added.

"And super manly, I'm Eijiro Kirishima, you seem like a wonderful person to be around," Eijiro said as he introduced himself to Izuku. The rest of the group, which comprised Mina, Tsuyu, Hanta, Kyoka, and Shoto, followed suit as they all introduced themselves.

Ochaco and Denki returned to the classroom after running an errand for Aizawa and joined the party of people asking about Izuku's injury.

Izuku was dumbfounded as he never received this level of support in the past, however, there was one thing on his mind, and that was confronting Katsuki.

He noticed that his childhood friend was missing from the classroom.

"Where did Kacchan go? I need to talk to him," Izuku asked.

The group stared at him before Ochaco decided to speak up.

"He left not too long ago, he was very silent during the whole day, and it seemed like he was troubled."

After hearing what Ochaco said, Izuku broke into a spring, determined to catch up with his rival and childhood 'friend'.

And we'll end this chapter here!

This was a long chapter that covered quite a bit in terms of content. I skipped a lot of the scenes that happened in the anime/manga revolving around the 1-A class because any of you who've seen those works should know what happened. This means that I just covered Serena and Satoshi's new characters, exploring scenes and their background and their quirks, and what they can do.

Next Chapter: USJ Incident. Villains Uprising!

To be continued…
