New update! I'm not too much into the plot yet, but you will see some development soon. Enjoy!

Chapter 1: Back on the Train

"Chop Chop, we can't miss the train," Mrs Weasley was heard calling from below.

Hermione, Harry, Ron, and Ginny were working on getting their trunks down the stairs, well, at least everyone but Ron was. Ron had his suitcase stuck in his room. When the three had gotten their trunks down, they ran up to help Ron, who as of right now, was kicking his suitcase.

"Honestly Ronald, have you forgotten that you're a wizard?" Ginny said, pulling out her wand and doing a simple levitation spell, and flew it down the stairs.

"Ginny! You're underage!" Ron shouted in anger.

Tears filled up in Ginny's eyes as she tried to keep them at bay," so you really did forget my birthday," she whispered.

"I'm sorry, but some of us here have had our minds on other things than silly celebrations," Ron scoffed.

"I think about him too, ok?! I spend every day crying over it, and on my birthday, I hoped everyone would at least wish me a good day because it's not every day you turn of age! However, only Harry, Hermione, and George bothered to say anything besides Mum and Dad!" Ginny shouted.

"Ron, we all have a lot on our minds, can you just say sorry so we can go?" Hermione asked with a bit of anxiety.

"No, I have something to say to you too."

"Ron…" Harry warned.

"No Harry, it needs to be said. You keep people up at night with your screaming. Would it bother you to use muffliato or something?"

"Ron...I try my best to stay silent…"

"Well, you're not trying enough!"

"Silence!" shouted Mrs Weasley.

Everyone turned to look at her.

"We've all been through some tough times. Ronald Weasley, I expect you to act better at Hogwarts. Now let's apparate to the station, and I expect to not hear a peep out of anyone until we get there."

Everyone stared at each other but followed Mrs Weasley as she took out her wand and apparated in place. They instantly found themselves on the platform, and the Hogwarts express ready for boarding.

"I'll miss you all, but do try and have a good year," Mrs Weasley said, pulling each of them in for a hug.

"Thank you so much for letting us stay," Hermione expressed.

Most people expected Hermione to return home with her parents after the war, but few knew her story. She obliviated her parents during the war, and she had not found them yet. Aurors were looking for them, and she would know when they were found.

"It really means a lot," nodded Harry in agreement.

"Oh, it was no big deal. You're family after all."

Hermione and Harry smiled and waved their goodbye as they boarded the train with Ron and Ginny.

"Do you guys mind if I sit in a different compartment right now," Hermione asked, spacing out a bit.

Harry and Ginny shook their heads, but Ron had different ideas.

"Actually, I do mind. You're my girlfriend, so I would like to spend some time with you."

"Who said I was your girlfriend," Hermione argued," sure, we kissed during battle and all, but we were caught up between life and death."

"But…"

Ron didn't have time to finish as Hermione stormed off. She found an empty compartment and sat down. It was quite dusty, but she didn't mind. She let out a sigh and continued to stare out the window. She barely noticed the train leaving, and before she knew it, 2 hours had passed. She wouldn't have snapped out of her trance until the train stopped at Hogwarts if it weren't for a knock on her compartment. She looked over to the door and saw the most unexpected person standing there. The one and only Draco Malfoy. She stood up to open the door with a puzzled face.

"What do you want, Malfoy?"

"Granger, may I talk to you for a second?"

Hermione pondered over this until finally nodding her head, and heading back to her seat Malfoy slid the door shut and sat opposite of her. It was quiet for what seemed to be hours, but only minutes.

"So, you came here to say something?" Hermione asked, breaking the silence, not looking away from the window.

"Yes I did, but...it's complicated," Draco quietly responded.

"Go on," she irritatingly said," I want you out of here as soon as possible."

"Well if you want me out, maybe I'll just leave," Draco angrily whispered under his breath.

"Well be my guest," Hermione snapped, making eye contact.

"Fine," Malfoy stated, standing up, sliding the door open, and leaving the compartment.

Hermione rolled her eyes but refused to let it bother her. She pulled out a book and began to read.
