One Month Earlier….

Raven had come accustomed to her routine with Becca on Friday nights. They would both close the center together, Becca would beg Raven to go out to the gay bar with her, Raven would refuse, Becca would offer to buy her booze and drinks, Raven would again refuse, Becca would resign to go by herself and Raven would get too worried about her drinking alone and would end up going to the gay bar with her to make sure she didn't end up in a ditch.

After Becca getting absolutely trashed, making out with some pretty blonde girl, and ending up getting scammed out of a tequila shot before running away by said pretty blonde girl, Raven decided it was time for them to go home.

Becca lay dramatically across the couch in Raven's living room draping her long limbs across like a greek statue eyeing Raven completely and utterly plastered.

"Raven, I love women." she mused.

I know, Becca." Raven said, pouring Becca a glass of water.

"I love kissing women, I love have sex with women, I just- I just love women."

"I know, Becca" Raven replied, "Drink" she said as she handed her the glass.

Becca did as instructed, pouring the majority of the glass all over herself.

"Ok" Raven spoke mostly to herself "Looks like someone is spending the night."

"Aw shit, Sleepover!" Becca celebrated on the couch.

"Yeah, yeah, message your dad so he doesn't freak out."

Becca once again did as Raven instructed while Raven went to pour cold brew for herself from the fridge, apparently she was babysitting a 23 year old tonight.

Becca suddenly peered at Raven curiously, "Why don't you ever talk about your old job?"

"The barista gig? I was only there for a few months."

"No you stupid bitch, your other old job."

'Oh it's a good thing you're drunk' Raven thought, gritting her teeth. Becca had a tendency to get very bold and very mean when she was drunk and Raven had to learn to be very patient with her friend during these times.

"I don't know, really there's not much to say."

"There's nothing to say about living with a bunch of superheroes completely unsupervised as early as the age of 14? I have a hard time believing that," Becca replied sarcastically.

"What do you want to know?" Raven asked "I'm pretty sure I told you all of the important things."

"Who was fucking who in that tower?" Becca blurted out slamming her palms on the coffee table.

Raven's face turned beet red as her eyes widened at Becca incredulously.

"You are way too fucking drunk for me to handle right now," she whispered.

"PLEASE" Becca threw herself dramatically across the sofa, "I simply must know or I shall perish where i lie!"

Raven sighed, pinched the bridge of her nose and closed her eyes.

"If you really must know, the only relationship that ever occurred at the San Francisco Titans base was Robin and Starfire."

"No, not that one! Everyone knows that one, that's boring!"

Raven blinked, "Oh so this is your roundabout way of trying to get in my business."

"Well yeah, duh."

Raven stood up and turned to the hallway walking to her bedroom, "You're drunk, I'm going to bed."

The tall stood unsteadily stood up at that moment and began chasing her friend down the hallway to her bedroom, "Oh no you're not! I just watched you down a whole glass of cold brew, now tell me who you kissed!"

"No one, ever Becca!" Raven barked, throwing her hands in exasperation.

Becca paused now sitting on the gothic moth themed rug in Raven's bedroom.

"Wait so, you've never kissed anyone? Like ever?"

"Like ever," Raven confirmed, sitting down on her bed.

Raven's gray tabby Cerberus, found his way to Raven's lap and began purring while she gently stroked his fur. Becca rested her head on her hand awaiting an explanation and Raven sighed.

"My powers are controlled through my emotions, I lose control of my emotions, I lose control of my powers."

Becca leaned back on her elbows at this point, "Yeah but that doesn't mean you're completely unfeeling, I've seen you get pissed and the world hasn't ended yet."

Raven winced, ok so maybe she didn't tell her all of the important things.

"But if they get too strong then it very well could," she explained.

Becca rolled her eyes at her friend, "You're so dramatic"

'Not nearly as much as you think' Raven thought. Raven started to feel guilty, She trusted Becca and all she wanted was to understand her friend more. Raven blew a stray hair out of her face in exasperation.

"You wanna know the real reason?"

"Of course."

Raven tilted her head back and closed her eyes bracing herself for what she would finally be admitting out loud.

"I started having feelings for a teammate and I could sense them having feelings back but because of my powers I was scared of what would happen if I allowed it to continue so I locked up that feeling.

Becca stared at the empath, "What do you mean locked up?"

"My emotions- rather parts of my soul are divided into physical manifestations in my mind as to better control them. It was what the monks in Azar- Where I'm from taught me to do when I was a child. It was supposed to be like training wheels but I left before they could teach me another option. Anyways, I took the part of my soul that felt passion, romance and desire and I built a mental tower with iron gates and barbed wire that it couldn't get out of."

Several moments of silence passed as the heaviness of Raven's words was felt on both the girls' minds, until at last Becca broke the silence.

"So you put yourself in horny jail?"

Raven's normally emotionless composure cracked as she tried not to laugh, and failed.

"I mean that's kind of what it is, yeah."

At this both girls broke out in side-splitting, tears-rolling-down-their face kind of laughter for several moments. After the two had finally calmed down, Becca suddenly sat straight up and cocked an eyebrow.

"So who was the teammate in question?" She asked.

Raven flopped backwards on her bed dramatically, "I was really hoping you'd forget that part."

"Yeah, not a chance, Who was it?"

Raven groaned and rolled over on her stomach. Becca wouldn't let up.

"If you don't tell me, I'm gonna start guessing…"

"Can't you just leave it alone?"

"Robin"

"Enough Becca"

"Starfire"

"I don't wanna talk about this!"

"Cyborg"

"Becca...please…"

"It's not….It can't be Beastboy can it?"

Color immediately flooded Raven's face as a confirmation of Becca's guess.

"Raven, EW! He's so short!"

"He's 5'10", you're just a goddamn Amazon, you bitch!" She squawked.

"OK I am sorry I made fun of your boyfriend, Queen." Becca apologized.

"HE'S NOT MY BOYFRIEND!"

At this Raven shoved her face into her pillow and screamed. Several items in the room went flying off the shelves or directly shattered where they sat in her room due to Raven's emotional outburst. Becca was completely unbothered in her drunken stupor and continued on, "I guess theoretically you guys could work, you two are like, so the opposite of each other that you would just balance each other out."

"I am not going to discuss the logistics of something that's never going to occur with you."

"OH IT'S OCCURRING!" Becca spit, " I'm breaking you out of horny jail, I'm getting you two together, so you can make the weirdest looking babies I will ever see and I will be their rich lesbian aunt who travels the world and buys them expensive gifts."

"Ok Becca, send me a postcard from your fantasy world while you're at it." Raven said, unrolling the spare sleeping bag for her friend.

"I will," she replied, getting in as Raven turned out the lights.

Several moments of silence passed as Raven attempted to shut her eyes and fall into sweet sweet unconsciousness before Becca called out to her.

"Raven?"

"Hmm?"

"Does this mean you're furry?"

Seconds later Becca was smothered in pillows and dark magic.
