*Next chapter will be about Andy. This one will be about how Giggle and Woody got to Sunnyside

"Giggle, what happened to him? How did you two get here?" Buzz asked. The little officer was seated beside Woody. She sighed deeply.

"Bo, Woody, Duke and I had hitched a ride on a train heading to Canada. She said. Duck and Bunny had left us about a year ago after finding a set of twin boys to settle in with. Bo had been talking about seeing other places in the world and suggested we go to Montreal. She's always wanted to go there, so we hitched a ride on an Amtrak train. Halfway through the ride, we were ambushed. Turns out someone else had also hitched a ride and was very pleased to know that Woody was on the train. Some stumpy looking cowboy with a pick ax named Prospector Pete." Jessie gasped and stumbled.

"Prospector Pete!?" Buzz snapped, gripping Jessie's shoulders.

"You two know that old cuckoo bird?"

"Oh we know him alright. Jessie said. That lunatic almost sent me and Woody to Japan!"

"Yeah, that was mentioned. As well as something about Woody ruining his life. Giggle said. He said he wanted to get revenge on Woody for placing him with a little girl named Amy. He said she had treated him poorly, made him a villain, and destroyed his face."

"How so?"

"His face was covered in marker stains. Apparently Pete's been looking for Woody for over ten years. He jumped at him and attacked, used that pick ax to cut any piece of fabric he could. He cut open his arm, leg and shoulder."

"His eye is cut too. Jessie said. I can see the thin line down the left one."

"Oh he was swinging that damn thing like it was a samurai sword! Bo and Duke tried to help him, but he threw both of them against the door of the train car we were in. Woody got mad that he hurt them and went for Pete's throat. That's when Pete cut his eye. The worst was when he cut open the stitching on his back. Oh boy, his scream is still ringing in my ears!"

"Hold on, on his back? Buzz said. You mean from when he had his voice box taken out?"

"Sure did, and he didn't hold back. Stuck it in right at the top of his back and slashed straight down." Both Jessie and Buzz were disgusted. "He took it one step further by picking Woody up and tossing him off the train. Bo went to jump after him, but Pete held her back so she couldn't. I made the choice to jump after him and we landed in the river. We traveled what felt like hundreds of miles and somehow found ourselves back in the tri-state. I don't even know how that happened. Then the storm hit and as we tried to find shelter, we got sucked into a storm drain. And, well, you know the rest."

"Oh my god. Jessie says. Wait, so now Prospector has Bo? Sweet mother of mercy, he's going to hurt her!"

"Over my dead body." They heard a faint whisper and turned to see Woody slowly opening his eyes.

"Woody! You're alive!" Giggle said, bouncing over to him. She jumped onto his neck and hugged him with her tiny hands.

"Heh, thanks to you, Gigs. You saved my life." Woody said quietly.

"Awe, stop it. You would've done the same for me. Hey, look over here, cowboy. Look who's here!" Woody looked up and smiled.

"Buzz! Jessie!" Jessie rushed over and threw herself into his arms.

"Oh I am so glad to see you! And I'm sorry to hear about Prospector. If I were there, I would've clobbered him!" Woody laughed.

"I know you would've. I've missed you, sis." He hugged her tight before looking up at Buzz. Jessie helped Woody to his feet and the two best friends hugged.

"Good to see you again, cowboy. Buzz said. It's been too long."

"It sure has, buddy? What are you guys doing here? Hold on, where are we right now?"

"Oh yeah, should've mentioned that. Giggle said. We're at Sunnyside Daycare. Your friend Barbie found us and Ken patched up your back."

"Sunnyside? Wait, that means...No. Bonnie. Did she?"

"She left for college this morning, partner. She donated us back here."

"That's odd. I thought for sure she would've given you guys back to Andy. I mean Andy has to have at least a kid or two by now, right?" Jessie looked at Buzz and Buzz lowered his gaze from Woody. "What? What is it, Buzz?" Buzz rubbed the back of his head.

"There's something I have to tell you about Andy, Woody. You may want to sit back down on the bed before I do."

"Just tell me." Buzz took a deep breath.

"Andy died, Woody, six months ago."

*Short and sweet. More about Andy coming soon.*
