"Woody! Ha, see? I told you he'd find me." Bo said, laughing.

"You're right on cue, Woody. Pete said. I guess you are pretty smart after all."

"Release my wife, Prospector. This is between you and me. No one needs to get hurt here." Woody said, inching closer.

"I'm hurt, Woody. I've been hurting for years, since the day I was tossed aside, wandering alone on the side of a road, and left to rot in some dime store and then again in a storage container, waiting for some fat oaf to find a Sheriff Woody doll!"

"What do you mean, you were tossed aside? By who? Buzz asked. Surely not by a child?" Pete looked at him and then looked down at his pickaxe.

"Hold on, did you once have an owner? Jessie asked. When I was with you, you said you never experienced playtime!"

"That part was true, Jessica! Pete snapped at her. I never experienced playtime because the child that I had didn't want to play with a stubby looking cowboy doll! So what does he do? Throws me out of a moving car! The parents didn't even turn back to look for me! They kept driving and left me there! I walked on from there and found the dime store, and grew a hatred for human children ever since!"

"If you hated children so much, then why did you want to spend a life in a toy museum?"

"Because it's better to be loved from afar than to be manhandled by grubby, snot nosed, kids who will just betray you in the end!"

"Enough! Woody shouted. Look Pete, I'm sorry that you had to go through that, but that's just one kid. Not all of them are like that!"

"What about your precious Andy? I see you're not with him anymore. He gave you up, didn't he?"

"We're not talking about me, Stinky Pete! Now cut the crap and let go of Bo!"

" I will, on one condition. You, Jessie and Bullseye take her place, and all of us will be the crown jewel of this exhibit. People will love us, more than some cheap antique lamp figurine!"

"Hey!" Bo cried. Jessie held onto Bullseye, who was ready to charge at Pete.

"No way! We're not leaving our friends to be bullied by you for the rest of our lives!" Jessie snapped. Pete glared at her, and then turned to Woody.

"What about you, Woody?" Woody gripped the crossbow tighter, not taking his eye off Pete. "Very well. Then I hope your girl can swim." He leaned down and flipped a switch on the side of the display case. All of a sudden, the case began to fill with water. Bo screamed.

"Oh no!" Rex cried. Hamm looked to the left at a display of combat toys. Grabbing a small sword from one of the soldiers, he whistled to Woody.

"Woodster! Catch!" Hamm said, tossing him the sword. Woody tossed the crossbow aside, caught the sword, and ran towards the display case. Raising it high above his head, he went to hit the case when Pete kicked him in the stomach, knocking him back down. He shook his head and saw Pete coming towards him. Jessie grabbed another two more swords and handed one to Buzz.

"Come on, we have to help him! She yelled. You guys try to get Bo out of the case!" The others nodded as Buzz and Jessie dashed over to where Pete and Woody were fighting. Pete went to raise his axe, but Buzz disarmed and knocked it out of his hand. Jessie went to grab it, but Pete grabbed one of her braids pulling her back. Woody hit him with the end of his sword. Back and forth the toys fought.

"You think you can defeat me? Think again!" Prospector yelled.

"Is the best you got, Pete?" Jessie asked, slashing his arm.

"No, this is!" He took the blunt end of the axe and hit Jessie in the side of the head. Jessie fell to the floor, holding her head.

"Jessie!" Woody and Buzz yelled. They raised their swords and went to attack when they heard the shattering of glass. Potato Head had taken one of the clubs with a spiked ball on the end of it and smashed it against the display case. Water splashed all over the floor, glass rained down on them.

"Bo!" Woody yelled.

"I've got her, Woody!" Potato Head shouted. In his arms was an unconscious Bo Peep. Woody took her from him and laid her down across his lap. "Bo, sweetheart. Look at me, darling. Please wake up." He touched her cheek and she began to move slightly. Moaning, she lifted her head to look at him.

"Woody." Bo sighed softly. Woody lifted her and pulled her close, thankful that she was alright.

*I will try to have chapter ten up by the end of the week, though my schedule is tight this week. But I'm hopeful!*
