When the girls returned to their hotel room, they found Tecna working on mending Timmy's shirt. "UGH, please tell me you are not repairing that fashion atrocity," Stella said drunkenly, "Someone should have burned that."
Tecna couldn't help but chuckle and replied, "Yes, I'm repairing it, but I am doing a pretty lousy job of it. I keep accidentally stabbing myself with the needle."
That was when the girls saw bandages on several of her fingers and started to laugh.
"I take it you are getting pretty close to Timmy then huh?" Flora asked.
"He's a good friend," Tecna replied as she continued working on his shirt.
"Want to play a game?" Stella asked the group.
"What game?" Flora asked.
"It's called this or that. It's an alternative to spin the bottle. Basically, you spin the bottle and give the person it lands on 2 dares. That person gets to choose which dare they are to complete," Stella explained.
"That sounds like fun," Musa said excitedly as she ran out the door. The other girls looked after her questioningly until they heard a knock on the door next to theirs. "Hey guys, we are going to play a game. Come on over,"
Shortly after, all the guys came in wearing their nightclothes. Tecna was used to them looking like that, but the other girls were ogling them, especially shirtless ones.
Timmy walked over and sat next to Tecna, asking, "So what game are we playing?"
"This or That," Flora said as she repeated the rules to the guys.
Timmy's stomach was doing flips. The guys knew that he had a crush on Tecna, and he somehow doubted he would get away from this without doing something embarrassing.
Flora then said, "Timmy, since your birthday is coming up, why don't you go first."
Timmy let out a relieved breath, before he spun the bottle, until the bottle landed on Riven. Timmy inwardly cringed. If he dared anything too crazy; Riven was sure to beat him to a pulp later. So, he thought for a moment and said, "Riven, I dare you to either pretend to be Stella for the next ten minutes or go outside and do a rain dance."
Instead of specifying his choice of poison, Riven threw his arms around Brandon's neck and screamed, "Shnookums, I love you so much! Let's go shopping! I saw these Vera Bang shoes that were FAAAAABULOUS!"
The group started laughing hysterically while Stella threw a pillow at Riven's face. Riven grabbed the bottle as he continued to laugh. The bottle landed on Stella, and he dared, "Stella, I want you to either smell the armpit of every person here and rank them from best to worst. Or, you can go outside and invite random people to join the game until your next turn."
Being the outgoing member of the group, Stella snapped her fingers and was dressed in cowgirl gear. Stella figured if she was going to go out, she was going out with a bang. Before Stella left, she spun the bottle. Unfortunately, it landed on Tecna, who flushed in fear as she waited to find out her fate. "Tecna, I dare you to either knock on the neighbor's door and ask if they have a spare condom or sit on Timmy's lap for the rest of the game."
"OOOOH, I could use a spare condom too, Shnookums!" Riven said to Brandon hysterically.
Brandon laughed and replied, "Not with a thousand condoms, Riven."
Tecna's face turned beet red as she debated in her head what to do. Suddenly she had an idea. Tecna stood up, walked out of the room, and knocked on the door next to hers. The group peeked out the door. She had a smile on her face, and that's when Timmy realized what she was doing. He started laughing hysterically. Riven looked at him curiously, and that's when it dawned on him. "Hi, do you have a spare condom?" Tecna asked behind the closed door.
"That's our room... Tecna, are you trying to sleep with my man?!" Riven imitated Stella again.
"No, I am simply trying to ask my neighbors, which would be you guys, for a condom." she replied cheekily, "Since no one answered, I am off the hook."
She was about to go back in the room when two people approached her, "Hey, are you guys the ones playing the game that cowgirl downstairs invited us to?"
Tecna nodded and looked at the two. One was a tall man with long hair. "My name is Tritannus, and this is my cousin Aisha," he introduced himself.
"Hi, I'm Tecna. These are my friends Timmy, Musa, Riven, Sky, Bloom, Flora, Helia, Brandon, and the girl you met downstairs is Stella," Tecna explained.
Tritannus checked the girls out. They were all gorgeous. "It's nice to meet you all."
"Likewise, now what are we waiting for. Game on!" Aisha said excitedly.
While Tecna spun the bottle, Tritannus asked, "So what school are you all from?"
"Tecna and the guys are from Red Fountain. The other girls are from Alfea," Brandon explained.
"Awesome, Aisha and I are supposed to start at those schools this Tuesday. Perhaps you guys could show us around?" Tritannus asked.
"Sure," Sky said, "Tecna is new to our school too."
"This is the first time I've heard of a girl going to Red Fountain," Aisha commented.
"I am the headmaster's granddaughter," Tecna explained, not wanting a stranger knowing about her wings. She then said, "It landed on Stella's spot. Brandon, do you want to go grab your girlfriend while I figure out what to dare her?"
Brandon nodded and went to go get Stella. Tecna waited until she got back and said, "Stella, I dare you to wipe off all your makeup or flirt with the person who the bottle lands on next for the next five minutes. By the way, Riven, your ten minutes are up."
"Thank god," Riven said.
Stella gasped, "Sorry, Shnookums. I don't want anyone to see what I look like without makeup," she said as she spun the bottle. It landed on Helia, "Helia, you're the artsy-fartsy type. I want you to either draw your crush's picture on Tritannus' back or confess to her right now." She then remembered her dare and added, "Did I mention how shiny your hair looks in the moonlight," Stella added awkwardly.
Helia spun the bottle while Tritannus took off his shirt for him to draw on. Coincidentally the bottle landed on Tritannus, and Helia dared, "Tritannus, you don't really know anyone here so, I won't go too crazy. I want you to name the prettiest girl here or call the woman at the front desk telling her you want to break up."
Tritannus smirked and said, "I could no sooner choose a favorite star in the sky… Although Tecna is pretty cute."
Tecna blushed. She wasn't expecting Tritannus to call her cute.
Timmy frowned as Riven whispered to Timmy, "OOOOH, looks like someone has competition."
Tecna's phone rang at that moment. She stood up to answer it, "Excuse me, it's Codatorta calling."
Sky then asked, "How's that drawing coming, Helia."
Tritannus turned around, and Flora gasped, "Oh Helia, I like you too."
She hugged him. and he asked, "Would you like to go out with me sometime then?"
"Absolutely," Flora replied.
The girls in the room smiled and said, "Awww" in unison.
Tritannus then took the bottle and spun it. It landed on Timmy. Considering Timmy's reaction to what he said, he knew the boy either liked her or was just really shy. "I dare you to either kiss the girl you like the most or send her a dirty picture."
"Ooooh," all the guys said in unison.
Timmy was sweating bullets; there was no way he was doing the latter. Tecna had just come in from her phone conversation with her father. She saw Timmy stand up and approach her, "Is something wrong, Timmy," she asked, noticing how nervous he appeared.
"Can I… I mean…may I…." Timmy struggled.
Brandon knew Timmy well, and figured out why he was so flustered. He decided to step in, "Timmy wants to kiss you but wants your consent."
Tecna turned beet red and replied equally as flustered, "Ummm… I suppose."
Timmy swallowed hard and gave her a kiss on the forehead. As much as he was dying to kiss her lips, he didn't want it to be over a dare. She closed her eyes and smiled when she felt his lips on her forehead.
They turned back to the group, who let out a cheer before continuing the game.
…
Later that evening, the guys were getting ready for bed in their room when Helia commented, "Tritannus and Aisha seem nice. I am glad they agreed to hang out with us tomorrow."
"Yeah," Sky agreed, "Plus, Tritannus looks like he would be an amazing addition to our team. I wonder if I could convince Codatorta to add him to our group."
"Possibly, but he would have to be put in a different dorm room. Now that Tecna's in our group, our room's full," Timmy stated.
"You just don't want him anywhere near Tecna," Riven taunted.
"Leave him alone, Riven," Brandon said with a smirk.
Meanwhile, in the girls' room, Tecna continued to work on sewing Timmy's shirt when Musa asked, "So, how was the kiss?"
Tecna rolled her eyes, "Musa, you know he doesn't feel that way about me."
"Oh, but he does," Flora argued, "Timmy was given a choice of whether he should kiss the girl he likes most in the room or send her a dirty picture. Guess who he kissed."
"That doesn't mean anything," Tecna argued, "He might like someone that's not in our group."
"Like whom, Ms. Griselda?!" Musa asked.
The whole group, including Tecna, couldn't help but laugh.
…
The sound of several blow-dryers going off at once woke up the guys in their room. "Sounds like the girls are up," Brandon mumbled before rolling out of bed to get into his swim trunks. They would all meet in the lobby in an hour to eat breakfast before heading down to the beach. Riven rolled over to go back to sleep when the phone by his bedside table went off.
"What do you want," He yelled at the phone.
"Hello," the person on the phone greeted, "This is your 8:00 a.m. wake-up call," the person on the phone greeted cheerfully. Of course, it was always a joy to wake up a crabby person first thing in the morning.
…
After the boys were dressed, they came downstairs and found the girls dressed in cute summer dresses to hide that they were wearing their swim gear underneath. Timmy looked at Tecna and noticed she didn't seem like she was wearing a swimsuit. Quietly he wondered if she had the same issue that she had at the dance.
After he grabbed his plate of food, he texted her, "Do you need to stop anywhere to buy beach clothes? I can take you on my hoverboard after breakfast."
She texted him back with a blush on her face, "No thanks, Timmy, actually I have a swimsuit. I just don't feel comfortable wearing it in public."
Timmy smiled, happy that she confided in him and let that be the end of the conversation. Besides, he knew how it feels to be self-conscious. That was why he was currently wearing a red T-shirt with his green swim trunks.
…
On the beach, Aisha ran to the water, diving in like a dolphin. "Wow, she sure likes water," Tecna commented.
"She should. She's the fairy of waves after all," Tritannus said, "Would you like to go for a swim?"
Tecna's eyes got wide, and she answered, "No way, I am the fairy of technology. Water and I don't mix well."
"Really?" Helia asked.
Tecna nodded and explained, "I have a cyborg brain, so anything more than a shower could potentially waterlog my circuits. If I swim, I need to wear earplugs, and I absolutely have to keep my head above water."
Timmy smiled, realizing that she was becoming more open to the group, and said, "That's really cool. I've always wanted to meet a cyborg."
"It can be a bit of a hassle at times," Tecna explained, "For example, I sometimes have a hard time understanding emotions."
Timmy smiled at her and replied, "That's alright. It's hard to figure out how others are feeling. I struggle with that myself."
Tecna pulled an e-reader and towel out of her bag, finding a lovely tree to curl up under while the rest of the Winx and Specialist went into the water to swim.
Timmy left his jacket, keys, and cellphone near her to prevent them from getting wet. Tritannus observed Tecna from the bar while she was reading peacefully. She really was a beautiful girl, but she seemed to be more interested in spending time with that nerd than him. So, while Timmy was occupied, Tritannus started to walk towards her. He'll be damned if he's going to be shown up by that scrawny twirp.
Stella spotted Tecna sitting without a swimsuit and frowned in disapproval. Stella snapped, and Tecna's clothes changed to a lavender-colored two-piece swimsuit. Tecna was too preoccupied to notice at first, but she let out a shriek that alarmed the other Specialists when she did.
Timmy's face turned red as he saw her in a string bikini. He desperately tried to tear his eyes away so he could concentrate on what the problem was. When Tecna tried covering herself with the towel she was sitting on, it made him understand.
He climbed out the ocean and over to her. Unfortunately, the new guy beat him to it. Tritannus handed her his shirt and said, "Here, Put this on."
She took it from him and pulled it on gratefully. With the scars on her back covered, she calmed down and thanked him. He smiled and asked, "Can I interest you in a drink?"
She was thirsty, but she didn't trust him, so she said, "Sure, I will come with you."
Timmy ran up to her and asked, "Are you okay?"
Tecna smiled and nodded, "I'm perfectly fine. In fact, why don't you come to get a drink with us? You look a little dehydrated."
Tritannus glared at Timmy. This was the last thing he wanted. Timmy sensed there was a double meaning behind what she was saying, but he wasn't sure. Timmy nodded and replied, "Sure, I need to pick up sunscreen at one of the gift shops anyway."
"You are starting to look like a lobster," Tritannus commented irritably.
The three walked up to the bar, and Tritannus said, "Can I get a dry martini and…." He looked over to Tecna, and she shook her head.
"I can buy my own drink. Thanks, though," Tecna replied politely.
She then said, "May I have a bottle of water, please."
"Certainly," the waitress replied with a smile," before looking at Timmy, who replied, "I will take the same, please."
The waitress brought out the drinks as Tecna said, "I am glad we came here. The fans are helping with the horrendous heatwave."
"I take it you don't like warm weather?" Tritannus asked.
Tecna shook her head no and replied, "The hotter it is, the more likely my sense of logic gets distorted."
"Good to know," Tritannus said as he continued to gather information on his new love interest.
Tecna then stood up and said, "Let's go get you that sunblock, Timmy."
Timmy stood up, and Tritannus followed them to a tourist shop next door.
Meanwhile, the Trix were watching the group from afar. "Look at that gorgeous man following the nerd herd," Stormy commented as she looked him up and down.
"What's he doing with them?" Darcy asked, "I sense some serious dark energy coming from him."
"I don't know, but we'll deal with him later. For now, follow the original plan," Icy said.
While Timmy was buying the sunscreen, Tecna was looking around. In the corner of her eye, she thought she saw one of the witches that attacked her the other night, but when she turned her head, there was nothing there. Nervously, she approached Timmy and whispered, "Let's get back to the group. I think I…."
Before she could complete the sentence, Timmy saw Stormy appear and aim for her. Timmy quickly pushed her out the way and pulled out his laser gun. People in the store ran out screaming. Tritannus ran to help Tecna up, and Timmy yelled, "Get her out of here, and go get help."
As Tritannus made sure their exit was clear, Icy snuck up behind Timmy and shot him with a blast of ice. Tecna screamed, horrified, as she saw Timmy clutch his chest and fall to the ground.
