Riswynn walked slowly behind the other eyes wandering over the elvish architecture, tall elegant white stone buildings, with wide open windows and doors allowed the natural light of the sun to filter through the rooms, a breeze tickled her nose as the scent of flowers wafted past on the evening mist. She bumped into Dwalin's back as he stopped abruptly, taking a step back she scowled at the bald Dwarrow, grunting in disapproval as she rubbed her tender nose.

"Your female companion is injured" she heard the tall elf Lord speak to Gandalf his dark eyes scanning over the Dwarrow heads before settling on her.

"Riswynn are you alright" Gandalf inquired looking over his shoulder at her.

She flinched back not enjoying the pressing eyes raking down her figure, she didn't like the attention and chewed her lip biting back a crude Khuzdul insult at the elf who was prying "It's mostly Warg blood"

"Indeed" Lord Elrond said amused, watching as the female crossed her arms over her chest and frowned at him, her golden eyes flashing in warning.

"Mostly Warg Blood" Bilbo asked confused causing her to stomp on his large foot and shushed him.

Lord Elrond smirked turning his attention to a tall elf maid with dark flowing hair that cascaded down her back in waves of silk. He began speaking in elvish before gesturing in the dwarrowdam direction and the elf maid curtseyed low moving through the Dwarrow before ducking her head "I am called Aerina, Lady Riswynn please come with me, and I will show you to our healers"

Riswynn grunted and rolled her eyes "Fine but its only a few scratches" she sighed and nodded her head at her companions as she followed the tall, she-elf. She walked through the narrow passageways always a few steps behind the elf, her side was flaring in pain causing her to clench her teeth and blow a breath out in frustration. Aerina stopped at a massive wooden door pushing it open with no effort it floated across the floor, and Riswynn rose a brow surprised that it made no sound at all. She looked up in awe at the beautiful area, it was carved from stone and the light of the sun shone through carved elaborate holes in the ceiling, a small waterfall was just on the outskirts of the balcony and the mist from the falling water danced through the air, it was surprisingly warm on her skin. Aerina smirked at the dam watching as her wide golden eyes took in the room.

"Come we are almost there" she said with a subtle flick of her wrist, and they were off to another room.

Thorin didn't like the company of elves, his mood was foul as he waited for Gandalf to finish his business with that elf Lord. He didn't trust him, elves only cared for their own and he knew if this Elrond found out about their quest, then he would try to stop them, offer his guidance as if a dwarf would ever take council from an elf. He snorted at the notion, as he was led to his temporary chambers by some male elf, it was hard to remember their names and they all looked the same he only grunted in thanks as he bowed and left. The room was well furnished, but to open for his liking it was bright and airy everything an elf would like, and he resented it immediately. He longed for the open air of the forest the chill of the mountains he remembered as a lad, Erebor was the finest kingdom in all Middle Earth, and he would gladly take it over any elven bed, even if it did smell like dragon. A knock on the door interrupted his brooding and he stomped over to the thin wooden door pushing it open with force causing it to crack against the stone wall

"What" he grunted annoyed at the excited face of his nephews.

"Hey why have you got your own room, we are stuck with the Bombur and Bofur and you know how much Bombur far" Kili complained pushing past his uncle to inspect his fine room, wheezing out a breath as his brother elbowed him in the ribs. He rubbed his bruised side and shot Thorin an apologetic grin "Right sorry Uncle, how long are we staying here"

Thorin rolled his eyes marching past the brothers to stand on the balcony, hands gripping the edge tightly a scowl on his face as his gaze wandered over the landscape "it would seem Gandalf thinks this Elrond can help us, he wont leave until he gets what he wants"

"What is that uncle?" Fili asked standing beside Thorin his hands behind his back.

"He believes he can translate the map" Thorin grunted annoyed that he himself couldn't make out the ancient dwarf runes.

"And do you think he's right, Gandalf is a wise wizard maybe Elrond can read it" Kili suggested hopeful.

Thorin frowned "I don't trust elves, but we have little choice we need that map and neither I nor you can read it"

"Thorin you and your company have been invited to dine with Lord Elrond this evening if you will follow me" an elf maid said standing at the door, she was tall and slim like all elf maids with long straight blonde hair, she had blue eyes and wore a wispy thin white dress. Thorin frowned she was plain looking and looked sickly thin in his eyes he didn't understand how anyone would find an elf maid attractive, his frown increased as he caught Kili winking at the she-elf.

"Kili, Fili, get the others" he snapped following the billowy elf maid toward what he assumed would be a elf dining hall.

….

"That bloody hurts" Riswynn wheezed in annoyance as an elven healer spread a strange substance over her many cuts, it smelt of the earth and was a green colored paste, it burned as it contacted her skin then gave way to a gentle soothing sensation.

"Lady Riswynn, stop moving" Aerina chuckled at the frustrated dam, she had never seen a female dwarf before, she was surprised at her appearance assuming she would be short and stout like her male counterparts with a long beard covering her face. This dam before her was not what she expected, she had long Sunkissed hair that curled down her back down her to bottom, her skin was a milky complexion with rosy, red cheeks and a button nose. She was taller than she expected, much taller than half her companions, she hid her curves beneath hideous thick woolen tunics and large trousers like a male. Her breasts flatted with layers of cloth binding them down, which she found rather odd and painful to look at. Most interesting of all was the strange colored eyes, golden she wasn't aware dwarves could posses' golden eyes.

"I would stop moving if this blasted fool stopped poking me" Riswynn shrieked shoving away the female healer, puffing out an annoyed breath.

"She is healing your wounds Lady Riswynn, we are almost finished and have a bath prepared for you before you dine with Lord Elrond and your companions" Aerina struggled to contain her laughter.

Riswynn crossed her arms grunting in pain as her ribs screamed in protest at the action, "Where are my belongings lass, I can't exactly dine nude can I"

Aerina chuckled amused at the crass nature of such a small creature "Your clothing was torn it needed mending, a fine seamstress has been instructed to fit you with some temporary clothing while yours are being fixed, you will find them next to your bathing basin"

"I see and are you planning on squeezing me inta some fancy elf clothes then" she mumbled looking down at herself, she was covered with a thin flimsy material, she felt naked looking at the she elf she wondered how she was comfortable wearing such light airy material, it offered no protection from arrow nor blade.

"I shall instruct her to fit you with something more to your liking Lady Riswynn" Aerina giggled bowing her head she led the dam to her quarters "You shall sleep here for your stay, I will be back to help you dress and escort you to dine"

Riswynn grunted in thanks waiting for the she-elf to disappear before she tossed her rag dress away and jumped into the hot warm waters of her bath, splashing an ample amount of out the tub onto the floor she laughed, teach them to poke and prod me it will she chuckled. She sighed in satisfaction as the hot water soothed her muscles, the scent of flowers saturated the air as she rubbed fine oils into her filthy hair to cleanse it of orc blood. She scrubbed her skin raw, chuckling at the idea of bathing twice in the matter of two days, she felt pampered. She closed her eyes and leaned back enjoying her blissful moment of silence, before cracking an eye open and looking toward a small table behind a sheer panel, she could see colorful silk material and what appeared to be some sort of torturous female undergarment. She stepped out of the tub, shivering at the cool air before drying herself off, covering her wounds with a thin layer of the elf paste left by the healer she approached the clothing with a frown, holding it up. It was a deep blue dress it reminded her of the richness of sapphires in its color, she thumbed the material it was soft and silky, and she snorted. That elf maid expected her to prance around in something like this, it was a ridiculous notion, she never wore dresses, she wasn't some fancy dwarrowdam that hung off a some Dwarrow lord's arm. She was a warrior, she lived in the woods alone and killed orcs, washed in a river for goodness sakes. This was the finest thing she had ever held in her life, and she was afraid she would look ludicrous in it. She dropped the dress allowing it to pool on the floor in an elegant heap, picking up the undergarment her eyes went wide, it was a corset and she laughed out loud, that sneaky little elf wanted her to look like a female.

"Lady Riswynn are you finished bathing; I have come to help you dress" Aerina called from the doorway.

She sighed and pulled on her thin white underthings, holding onto the blasted corset "Yes" she grunted, rolling her eyes as the she-elf laughed at her standing there eyeing the item of clothing like it would attack her at any minute.

"Here let me help you" Aerina giggled.

….

"I feel ridiculous" Riswynn grumbled pulling at the neckline as the jogged to keep up with the elf maid in the long flowing dress.

Aerina sighed and looked over her shoulder at the dam watching as she fussed with her clothing. "Nonsense you look wonderful, much more feminine than your black tunic and trousers" she smirked.

"That's the problem lass, I don't wear these getups" Riswynn grunted.

"You mean dresses Lady Riswynn, a shame you look so fetching in it, I'm sure your companions will tell you the same" she smiled.

Riswynn rolled her eyes with a huff and followed the elf toward a large open area, it held several small tables overlooking the valley below and the view of the waterfalls. She stopped behind the elf, half hiding behind her flowing skirts as she spotted the others their gazes turned watching her approach, she sighed looking at the ground her cheeks flushed.

"Lord Elrond, may I present Lady Riswynn" Aerina chuckled stepping away from the dam, giving her a little smile as the dam straightened up and stared boldly at Elrond.

"Please join us, I was just telling Gandalf and Thorin about their elven swords" Elrond smiled at the uncomfortable dam, gesturing to a chair next to Thorin.

She sighed picking up her heavy skirts she moved round the table to sit next to Thorin, cursing under her breath as the blasted fabric bunched around her causing her to stumble.

Thorin turned his eye toward the dam and swallowed hard, she looked radiant like a fine cut jewel, the dress was form fitting, a deep blue color that complimented her golden locks, small silver embellishments were stitched into the bodice and down the front of the skirts, long lace sleeves ended at her hands. Her hair was twisted into elaborate plaits, that accentuated her delicate neck as the curls tumbled down her back. She smelt of flowers, her pale skin was slightly flushed, and she was cursing in Khuzdul under her breath at the elves, he bit back a chuckle at her attitude, clearly, she was uncomfortable with the new attire, but he wasn't complaining she was a sight to behold. He stood up and pulled out her chair for her, causing her blush to deepen and her to mumble a quiet thanks.

"You look lovely my dear" Gandalf said with a smile looking at the flustered dam as she fixed her skirts smoothing the fabric down rather roughly.

She looked up at him and felt her cheeks redden "Thank you" she squeaked out in embarrassment.

"I am to believe that you are the one that found these weapons" Lord Elrond said looking at the dam.

Riswynn jutted her chin out and stared him dead in the eye "Yes, I found them in a troll hoard on the great east road, shortly before we were ambushed by a pack of orcs"

He rose a brow at the stubborn dam "And what were you doing on the great east road?" he inquired his eyes scanning her face.

She snorted "I hardly think that concerns you elf lord"

"Excuse us" Thorin said pushing away from the table, holding out his hand for her to take.

She looked up at him and nodded her head placing her hand in his she allowed him to pull her to her feet and they walked to rejoin the others.

"Riswynn I hardly recognized you" Balin offered her a gentle smile as the pair stopped to join them, he watched Thorin release her hand slowly as she smiled at the old Dwarrow.

"You look like a female, who would have known under that tunic you had brea" Kili laughed, grunting in pain as Fili elbowed him in the ribs, the same spot as earlier.

She smirked at Kili rolling her eyes "Yes Master Kili I do in fact have breasts, as everyone can plainly see in this absurd dress, I feel like breasts with legs at this point" she laughed her cheeks tinted red.

"Well I think you look lovely" Bofur smiled at her and she bowed her head in thanks.

"You just missed it lass, Kili here was just telling us about how he fancied that elf over there" Dwalin chuckled pointing to something behind her. She rose a brow as Kili blushed and threw a bun across the table, hitting the bald Dwarrow in the head, she looked over her shoulder at a tall male elf playing a musical instrument "That's a male elf Kili" she giggled.

"Shush up now, you all think you're funny, I don't fancy that elf, I like dams, I'll prove it Ris c'mere" Kili stood up grabbing the dam by the shoulders causing her to yelp out in surprise as she stumbled forward into his arms tripping on her long skirts, his mouth slamming against hers. It took her a moment to realize what was happening but when she did, she bit as hard as she could shoving him away

"Ouch, you bit me" Kili yelped holding his mouth.

Her eyes blazed with fury swirling a violent red as she rubbed her lips aggressively "Don't you ever do that again, or I'll chop your jewels off in yer sleep"

He swallowed and nodded as the others stared wide eyed at the furious dam, Balin surprised to find an ever more furious Dwarrow behind her, Thorin looked like he wanted to strangle his nephew.

Balin chuckled and offered the dam a goblet of wine "Here lass, to wash your mouth" he chuckled.

Riswynn sighed blinking her eyes, golden swirls returning grabbing the goblet she downed it in one swallow "Much better"

Kili slunk back into his chair, his lip swollen, Fili shoved him playfully "Don't pout brother I'm sure that elf over there will give you a kiss"

Riswynn chuckled and shook her head, her plaits jingling as the small gemstones tinkled together, she stepped back standing beside Thorin who looked angry clutching his wine cup aggressively. She leaned closer bumping his shoulder softly with her own whispering "Relax its supposed to be a nice dinner party"

Thorin looked at her and grunted, she was too close it was making it hard to focus, her warm skin brushed against him, the smell of her hair, the sparkling of her golden eyes, her lips. He chewed the inside of his cheek, his glare settling on the back of Kili's head "He shouldn't have kissed you" he grunted under his breath.

She smiled and rolled her eyes "No but he's a young fool, I'm sure at some point you were one too" she whispered.

"No" he grunted taking a long drink of his wine.

She sighed "Well that's too bad I would have liked to meet him" she said softly turning away to watch the others laugh as Bofur got up and started singing stomping his feet in a merry tune.
