Disclaimer: I do not own Bakugan.

"What? H-how...?" A boy said as the blank space that surrounded both him and Izuse disappeared.

"Another 3-0? Amazing!" The green-eyed boy cheered while his new bakugan stood on his shoulder. "With this one I think it's 10 victories in a row today!"

A crowd had formed progressively in the park as Izuse kept on winning battles against different brawlers. And it was understandable, not every day does one watch someone with a losing rate of 100% win a battle, and even less is the chance that you see him win 10 in a row.

However, after that last thrashing, no one dared challenge the once biggest loser in the city. It was hard to understand how the boy got suddenly much better, but Izuse himself knew the reason behind his sudden success. It was Leonidas, his new bakugan.

"What the hell is going on here?" Another boy asked as made his way through the crowd of people, trying to see what was going on. And once he found that it was none other than the green-eyed boy the one standing in the middle, he smirked. "Did you break your defeat record or what?"

"Actually, I think it's because I won 10 in a row!" Izuse replied, finally looking away from his bakupod. And only then he recognised whom he was talking to.

That white hair was unforgettable for him. And when the smile on the green-eyed boy's face faded, his smirk became a full smile. The situation worsened as the boy that stood in front of him took a gate card and held it in front of him. The gesture was clear for everyone.

In the last couple of weeks, he'd earned the reputation of the strongest brawler in the park. Since the battle brawlers stopped going there, it had become an easier title to get, but it was still something to be proud of.

And of course, who else if not him to put an end to the biggest loser's first winning streak. Of course, Izuse knew well that this time the odds were against him, and that he probably wouldn't be as lucky as last time to have been treated in a very nice way; and for such he progressively grew more nervous.

"What are you so worried about?" Leonidas asked as he looked at the white-haired boy. "We'll crush him like we've done with all the rest."

Without wanting to say anything, he just nodded with determination and took a gate card of his own out and held it up.

"Field, open!" Both brawlers spoke in unison as the crowd cheered, though falling silent once the time froze.

Soon, all that surrounded them was empty space, and at this point the two of them were already familiar with it. The boy of the long, white hair tied in a tail stared directly at his opponent, still skeptical of what he'd been told.

Once again in unison, the two brawlers threw their respective gate card to the space between them. The battle had already started, and Izuse was well aware of it, as drops of sweat went doing his face while his hands trembled slightly.

The white-haired boy smirked as he noticed how his opponent's throw was affected by his nerves, as his bakugan barely landed on the gate card it was thrown onto. However, said smirk vanished once a giant green dragon, with three spikes on his head, big claws separated from his wings and a very long tail appeared from the green light the ball emitted once landing on the card.

That truly is new... He avoided making any comments as to maintain his confidence clear, he knew winning the mental game was always important. "Bakugan, brawl!"

He threw a red ball to the opposite card to where the dragon was, and once it landed, a red light came out of it as it transformed into a giant lion with wings on its back and scales on its back legs and tail.

Leonidas growled as the Pyrus Griffon didn't land on the same card as he did. He was always interested in fighting new bakugan, and until then, he had never fought against a griffon.

It was, once again, Izuse's turn, and he wasn't sure of what his next move would be. He had a free card with a double stand, but he would lose Leonidas without having a battle until after the next couple of turns. Being aware of how important the green dragon was for his strategy, he decided to place another gate card and play it safe. "Gate card, set!"

Following that move, he grabbed another green ball from his pocket, and threw it to the card he'd just placed. And this time he was again close to missing. Leonidas didn't notice the nervousness of his partner as he was focused on staring at the Pyrus Griffon standing on the card in front of him.

From the ball previously thrown by the green-eyed boy, a humanoid falcon appeared. Ventus Falconeer, that bakugan Izuse had struggled so much to recover, was back in action.

"There you go," said the white-haired boy mockingly before taking his own red ball and throwing it to the same card his other bakugan was standing. "Mine." He finally said as the gate card went back to him after both of his bakugan stood on the same card.

Izuse followed by throwing his Ventus Siege to the same card his Falconeer was, and won the first gate card for himself.

"Hey, be more original the next time!" The white-haired boy chuckled as he threw his third bakugan to the only gate card remaining. "Let's see what that dragon of yours is about!"

A giant snake emerged from the red light emitted by the red ball as it landed next to Leonidas, who got excited at the sight of an opponent. The snake hissed as it faced the giant dragon.

"Gate card, open!" Izuse yelled as the card flipped and revealed itself. "Leonidas!" With an image of the green dragon on the card, the effects were clear to the pyrus bakugan user.

"Ventus Leonidas's G power increases from 400 Gs to 680 Gs. Pyrus Serpenoid's G power increases from 320 Gs to 480 Gs," announced the bakupod, leaving the white-haired boy nearly speechless.

400 Gs?! This is on the level of the battle brawlers... He tried to keep his composure and quickly pulled out a familiar ability card. "Ability card, activate! Ability blockade!"

"Ventus Leonidas has been denied from receiving the effects of any ability card." The bakupod announced something Izuse had expected his opponent to do, though having Leonidas's own card really covered for it, or so he thought.

"Ability card, activate!" The white-haired boy took out a card he used quite a lot, and Izuse knew it very well. "Circle of Fire!" And as the card's name suggests, fire surrounded the Pyrus Serpenoid, eventually covering it on fire as well.

"Pyrus Serpenoid's G power increases from 480 Gs, to 560 Gs."

However, the giant, green dragon ignored the fire, and jumped through it. Serpenoid attempted to bite him multiple times, but it proved to be pointless. Leonidas grabbed the giant snake and threw it to the floor. Then, with his claws, he attacked it multiple times, until the snake went back into its ball form.

Shocked by the brutality of the attack, the white-haired boy failed to react in any way, and more importantly, not supporting his bakugan with ability cards. He wasn't the first who was left shocked though.

Leonidas went back into ball form, and floated back to his human partner's shoulder—a place he had adopted as his own. Izuse didn't celebrate as usual, though, as he was concentrated on what his next move would be. He grabbed his Ventus Siege, and after looking at it for a couple of seconds, he enveloped the green ball with his hand as a form to reassure himself of his decision. But first, he placed his last remaining gate card.

"Bakugan, brawl! Siege, stand!" From the green ball emerged a giant knight with a green and shiny armor, as well as a spear in hand.

So Siege... He shouldn't be that hard, I already beat it multiple times... He said as he grabbed another red ball from his pocket. Knowing he had to win that battle, he looked at his Saurus and hoped for the best. "Bakugan, brawl!"

A giant bipedal dinosaur emerged from the red light emitted by the previously small ball. Being more than a head taller than the knight, the battle seemed to be settled from the start.

"Gate card, open!" Izuse exclaimed while the bakugan that stood on his shoulder finally noticed the concern and nervousness of his. "Vacuum!"

"Ventus Siege's G power increases from 350 Gs to 420 Gs. Pyrus Saurus's G power increases from 310 Gs to 360 Gs."

"Alright, ability card, activate!" Izuse, surprisingly for his opponent, spoke up first, putting his card up for his rival to see. "G power bump!"

"Ha! Ability card, activate!" The white-haired boy didn't want to be left behind. "Combustion!"

"Ventus Siege's G power increases from 420 to 460 Gs. Pyrus Saurus's G power increases from 360 to 510 Gs."

Ugh! The green-eyed boy grabbed another ability card from his pocket. "Ability card, activate! Hot Wind!"

"Not so fast!" As the white-haired boy spoke up, Izuse rolled his eyes. "Ability card, activate! Pyrus G power bump!"

"You'll eventually run out of cards, I have more than you do!" The green-eyed boy, leaving behind his nerves for his anger and annoyance, took out yet another ability card. "Ability card, activate! The Gust!"

And he's right, my only remaining card is useless now... The white-haired boy forced his smirk to stay on his face while the bakupod announced the final result of the multiple ability cards used in the last couple of seconds. And for a bit, he wasn't able to hold it.

"Ventus Siege's G power increases from 460 to 660 Gs. Pyrus Saurus's G power increases from 510 to 590 Gs."

As the ability card phase came to an end, the battle phase started. Ventus Siege conducted a barrage of spear attacks against the taller dinosaur, who ended up collapsing on his knees from the attacks. And once its knees hit the floor, it went back into ball form; being followed by Siege shortly after.

The blank space that surrounded them vanished soon after, and the white-haired boy was left surprised of what had happened. While on the other hand, his opponent celebrated enthusiastically as he went from being the biggest loser in the park, to beating the so-called strongest brawler in the park.

A couple of people went to cheer the boy with the hair tied in a tail, but mostly everyone went to congratulate the one of the green eyes for his victory. And for such, he decided to leave.

"Hey, Izuse!" Someone said from behind, causing the brawler with eleven victories in a row to turn around. "Congratulations on your streak!" He fixed her long, brown hair that went over her shoulders.

"Huh?" He was confused when he found an young adult talking to him.

"I've been watching you today and I wanted to recommend you to join the tournament that will be held this weekend." She gave the boy a small paper than promoted said tournament. "You can join through the bakugan website."

Izuse checked the paper and found it interesting, but when he raised his eyes from it and was going to ask something, he found that the woman had already left the place. There was probably more info in the website, though he definitely was interested.
