LOVER'S STRENGHT, chapter 5.
The next morning Blake realized that the pain was literally killing him. He couldn't bear to be apart from Julie any other second, he just couldn't.
He was still in his pajamas when he left his house to rush to Julie's. It didn't matter how very early morning it was or how he was dressed, all he knew was that he had to get there. Julie was still sleeping and didn't see him climbing over the gate of her house. She only woke up hearing strange noises from outside and as she paid closer attention, she could hear a familiar voice screaming words of love like a mad:
"I love you Julie, I love you! I love you more than anyone else I could ever love in my life, you are my life! Now I know all the truth about it, I didn't expect Patricia to do such a thing. I tried every day to get in contact with you to tell you that she was the one to send you that letter, she didn't want us to be together. But guess what? I don't care at all because all I want is you and only you! Please Julie come back to me, believe me I will always, always, always love you"
It was Blake, he was there, barefoot on the grass and in his pajamas asking for her to love him.
She watched him through the window of her bedroom and as he spoke, she couldn't bear to see him suffering like that. His voice sounded really tired from how loud he was screaming but he kept doing it as long and loud as he could, he wouldn't have given up until she came out. Seeing him made her realize that she had been a fool treating him that way so she decided to rush down the stairs to reach him.
- "You know what I'm going to do now? I am calling Patricia to tell her again that between us it is over and just prove it to you" his voice kept screamin as she stepped through the entrance door.
In love as he was he really did, he phoned Patricia and left her declaring once again his endless love for Julie, he was not afraid of what could have happened next.
- "Did you hear that? I just did it again! Now please forgive me, I can't bear to be apart from you. Listen, I'm not going to waste another second of my life without you, okay?"
He was so involved that he didn't heard Julie's steps approaching, she was behind him by now and tapped his shoulder to make him aware that she was there. As Blake turned, the angelic vision of his Julie came into focus once again in his swollen, misty eyes. As they looked at each other once again, she burst into tears, tears that showed all the pain she had been holding in for those long weeks.
- "You are the craziest man I've ever met in my life" she managed to whisper in a sweet, moved voice. Blake's arms wrapped around her body and they breathlessly looked into each other's eyes for a few seconds, unable to convey in words what they were feeling inside. Julie wiped a tear on Blake's cheek with her thumb and whispered an "I'm sorry" in the most thin, guilty voice. Blake smiled tenderly and right afterwards held her face between his hands, still trembling with emotion. It was then that after days of excruciating pain his lips finally shifted over hers. As she kissed him back, he could feel her tears running down her face and wetting the back of his trembling hands.
At first his hands held her in the most delicate way, he was almost afraid to hurt the fragility of that beautiful creature but then their love burst once again, their lips savored each other's love, discovering in a linger the unknown pleasure of an overwhelming passion. His hands rested on her waist and brought her flush against him as they just couldn't stop kissing each other, the wait had lasted way too long, so long that it was really impossible for them to stop.
- "What happened to your leg?" she breathed between kisses, lowering her eyes
- "Oh I got hurt climbing your gate but it's nothing…"
- "Does it hurt? We must go in now, it needs to get medicated" she stated in a worried voice
- "Yes, but first give me another kiss" Blake answered quickly gluing his lips to hers.
After a while, her back hit the door and she pushed the handle to open it, it was only then that she realized she had been walking backwards, since Blake wouldn't stop kissing her. He only did for a little while when he noticed, with his chagrin, that the living room was a mess: there were crumpled blankets on the sofa and handkerchiefs everywhere, it was the confirm that she must have been crying a lot for him. She fell silent, feeling a little embarrassed about it but Blake immediately reassured her joking "You are lucky. My house looks like this when it's in order!".
All her worries were blown away by a little smirk she made while looking at Blake squaring every spot of the room from top to bottom. He looked around in a very peculiar way, he had a kind of curious but somehow proud expression on his face. Finally he spoke up:
- "Do you want me to help you clean our new house?" he proudly asked
- "Our new house? Are you ... are you moving here?!" Julie smiled incredulous and flung herself into his arms thrilled about his move to her house, she was almost crying out of happiness.
They shared another tender kiss and then put everything in order, starting off with the blankets on the sofa. One of them was particularly big and heavy and Julie asked Blake's help to fold it. Actually, Blake didn't help her at all, he just kept shaking the blanket as vigorously as he could and eventually threw it on Julie once she had fallen on the floor clumsily. He reached her under the blanket, she was still laughing hard but Blake made things even worse by tickling her. He just loved the sound of her laughter and would have listened to it all day long, so he tried to make her laugh whenever possible. By then Julie was breathless with laugher so she had to sat on the floor and came out of the blanket to breathe. Blake sat next to her and after fondly looking into her sparkling eyes his hand rested on the side of her neck and accompanied her back down on the floor with another fond kiss.
While they were kissing, Blake's letter fell from his pocket and Julie recollected it.
- "What's this?"
- "It's the letter I tried to send to you to apologize... but I don't want to talk about it anymore. It's the past, now we have to look for the future. Our future" he smiled
- "I behaved badly, forgive me" she looked down to apologize, "Oh I do love you Blackie" she continued after lifting her head up again to look into his eyes
- "Blackie? And what's that? Well, whatever it is I like the sound of it" he smiled back
- "Oh shut up" she came back settling her lips over his.
Everything started all over again, they forgot about the time, they forget about the world. They were together and there was nothing else around them but their love. Actually all their determination to clean up the house vanished in a matter of seconds as they started to cuddle; it was only when Julie felt suddenly cold that they realized it was almost night. In a normal day, it would have been time for Blake to leave, but this time he would have remained right there and they would have finally shared dinner together.
The idea was beyond thrilling and Julie remained quite puzzled when Blake got up from the floor and wandered around the house. She followed him and found him in the kitchen taking flour, yeast and other ingredients from the furniture.
- "Where's the salt Julie?"
- "The salt? What do you need it for?"
- "I'm making dinner … Pizza"
- "Oh I'll take care of that. You must be exhausted. Also I've never had anyone making me dinner"
- "Can't I spoil my girlfriend? You'd better get used"
- "Alright" she smiled at the way he called her. "But only at one condition. That you'll let me help you".
Julie could never have guessed he was such a great cooker but it was so pleasantly funny to cook together.
In contrast with her lonely daily cooking, this time they were having a lot of fun cooking while tickling each other, teasing each other and kissing all the while. While kneading the dough Blake had "accidentally" smeared her pajamas with flour but in truth he had put his hands full of flour on Julie's hips to tickle her and once she had turned he put them on her face to kiss her.
When dinner was finally ready they brought it in the living room and dined on the floor, in front of the fireplace, under that same blanket and with a nice glass of white wine to celebrate their first evening together. It was so nice for Blake to spend the evening with Julie without worrying about Patricia and for Julie it was a thrill to enjoy it with someone's company after all the long years of loneliness.
Afterwards Blake folded his arms around her and while his hands settled around her shoulders, his lips gently kissed her head after brushing against her hair; he couldn't stop saying how much he loved her but his words were always broken by kisses and this treatment made Julie feel very, very fortunate and special. When the fire almost went out, Blake turned on his stomach to rekindle it and was pleasantly surprised when Julie laid on top of his back, placing her head behind his shoulder. She gently bit the lobe of his ear and as he turned, he rolled over her to kiss her passionately.
Their kisses were nourishment for their hunger, water for their thirst, everything they needed.
It was very late at night and they were supposed to go bed. It would have been the first night to spend together, in the same bed, and they both were a little embarrassed about it.
They understood each other at a glance and agreed on waiting a little bit, it wasn't necessary to sleep on the bed, they would have just slept on the floor, and they would have been each other mattress. After all they had the gentle warmth of the fire and of the woolen blankets not to get cold, the comfort of each other arms and their love to warm their hearts.
All it took was a glance to share a mutual agreement about the unnecessary habit of sleeping in an actual bed. After all, anything in the world could ever match the softness of each other's body, the safety of each other's arms, and the warmth of their love; not even the most comfortable bed.
They laid down and looked into each other's eyes for a long time: there wasn't a more heavenly feeling than being together. Than being in love.
She then drew an arm around his stomach and he pulled her closer with his arm. He kissed her goodnight and she kissed him back, unable to detach her lips from Blake's. And eventually Blake remained awake and spoiled her until she fell asleep. Kiss after kiss.
It was almost unbelievable for him to have Julie between his arms. He hoped it wasn't being just a dream that would end the next morning; but if it had to be so, he hoped night would never pass by.
The next day they woke up very late in the morning, they were still holding each other tenderly and Julie had her head on Blake's chest. The first to wake up was Blake and it was the greatest delight to see his beautiful angel between his arms first thing as he opened his eyes, it was so nice to have her sleeping serenely on him.
It hadn't been a dream.
He bent his head down and stared at the lovely profile of her nose lightened by the weak sunbeams of dawn and the view of her, soundly asleep in his pajamas, was the cutest thing he had ever seen.
He stroked her temples with his fingers before brushing her hair strands away with his nose to gently kiss her forehead. At his touch she woke up as well and raised her head to look at Blake very fondly; there were no words to describe the way they looked at each other.
- "I didn't want to wake you up, darling" he apologized placing another kiss on her head
- "You didn't, I was awake. I just liked the feeling of being between your arms" she hugged him tighter
At her words Blake couldn't help but think at how beautiful her voice was when she still was sleepy.
And there they were all over again, cuddling and kissing each other tenderly. But after some sweet cuddles he moved to get up.
- "Where are you going?" Julie asked grabbing a flap of his shirt and pulling him back to her, "I cannot bear to be apart from you" she smiled.
He wrapped his arms around her and kissed her on her lips. Afterwards his lips slowly moved to the side of her jaw line and then down her neck where he placed tender kisses as she closed her eyes and tilted her head back in pleasure. When she opened them again to look into his loving eyes, he pulled up the collar of her pajamas and smirked
- "I might need some new pajamas since you stole mine …" he kissed her again
- "It wasn't my fault" she giggled into his mouth
- "Besides, I am going to recollect my things from the old house, just my clothes, I don't want to have anything to remind me of my past life. I'll be home for lunch" he explained as he touched the tip of her nose with his forefinger
- "Just one more minute, Blackie?" she asked in the sweetest voice
- "Let's make it ten more, darling" the feeling of her lips against his made him powerless. He just couldn't resist her.
Finally Blake managed to get ready and left his new house only for a little while. So he walked outside and took the car to reach his old house while an overwhelming feeling of joy filled his heart.
On the way there his mind was filled with the beautiful sight of Julie and he came to realize that he couldn't wait to come back to his Julie. He already missed her so much.
Once arrived, when he entered, Patricia was there to his surprise. He thought she had been sleeping in the hotel but it seemed she had just been there instead.
- "Where have you been yesterday? You didn't come home last night"
- "This is not my home anymore, I told you we are over. And to be quite honest I didn't expect to find you here"
- "Well, if this is not your home anymore, then it is mine. Haven't you thought about that?"
- "You can take the house, I don't care about it anymore. Your plans have gone up in smoke. I am here just to take my clothes"
To Blake's delight she remained quite surprised by his answer, he knew she wanted to hurt him some way but hadn't succeeded. After a brief silence, as Patricia saw Blake quickly emptying his wardrobe, she spoke up again.
- "Are you going to live with that trump?"
- "Don't you dare calling her like this! If there's a trump between us that's you, you did the most disgusting thing on earth and I will never forgive you for that!" the tone of his voice rose
- "Don't be so upset. The best is yet to come Blake, you just have to wait…"
- "Don't you dare twist even a hair of hers!" his withering eyes looked her closely.
Patricia laughed maliciously at him and despite his attempts to remain calm Blake was out of himself and in order not to spend another second with that woman he left half of his clothes there and walked away, fiercely shutting the door behind him.
When he came back to Julie she immediately realized that things hadn't gone as smoothly as he hoped them to go since he was definitely in a different mood from the way he left in the morning. As he entered he threw the bags with his clothes on the floor in an outburst of anger. Julie had never seen him like that but she was there to comfort him and approached him slowly.
- "Are you going to tell me what happened?"
- "I can't stand her anymore. How could I have been so blind to fell in love with such a person? And the things that she said... I just ..."
- "You what?"
- "I couldn't stay any longer"
- "Oh my love. But try to understand, after all even though she had another affair you've been together for a long time"
- "There's nothing to understand Julie" he stated in a serious voice, walking away from her
- "Oh come here, right into my arms, you're making yourself really stressed" she approached him back
And ashefelt her armswrapping around him, everything seemed to settle down and become peaceful again. She was all he needed to be fine.
The following days of their cohabitation passed by wonderfully with Julie and Blake falling in love more and more, day after day. By now they had gotten used to sleeping together every night, to have every meal together and share together as much time as possible but every time held the same happiness and excitement of the first one. They couldn't live anymore without each other.
It was Friday and Julie was out for grocery. The following day, wouldhave markedthe first week since they lived together and Blake wanted to celebrate the event by taking her out for dinner and surprisingher. He phoned to the most romantic restaurant in Hollywood: it was a beautiful romantic restaurant overlooking the sea called ByTheMoon and it seemed the best place to celebrate such a special event. Blake booked a table for two, in an isolated spot with the best view.
That night he told Julie to dress up and get ready for a surprise and when she came down the stairs ready for the evening Blake was speechless. She wore a splendid white dress, long and snug and fastened at the waist by an elegant waist belt. A duster protected her from the cold of the night and a pair of earrings illuminated her beautiful face. He had never seen her all dressed up and although nothing could beat her cuteness when she was wearing his pajamas she really looked like an angel, a vision.
As they arrived at the restaurant, Blake blindfolded her, took her hand and led her to their dining table. When they arrived he untied the bandage and Julie's eyes gleamed. The small round table was set elegantly and had thousand of candles on it, the violinists provided a lovely background and the view of the night sea while dining was such a delight.
That dinner was magical: as they were eating they looked at each other and their love seemed to echo in every violin note and every wave crashing on the rocks. Julie was stunning in that dress and Blake was absolutely sure that no one could ever have been as beautiful as she was; and the same was for Julie that though of Blake as the most handsome man on earth. Actually it wasn't their first date, it was their second but it was their official first date and there was something about that evening that was making it just unforgettable.
- "Would this wonderful lady care to dance with me?" he asked once they had finished their dinner
- "I'd be delighted, young man" she answered smiling.
Blake put his hand on her hip and hold her hand, they looked at each other and slowly started to dance. Every step they took warmed their hearts and when Julie put her head on Blake'schestshe could hear his heart beating very fast in excitement. They were so close that he could do the same and the beats of their hearts seemed to be the melody of their love ... it was pure poetry. They danced for about two hours, glued to each other and unable to separate. They were so lost in each other arms that they didn't notice anything around them.
