We start off with Dwayne Junior narrating.
The school system, the ways it is set up, is useful for helping young kids achieve their goals. But, the students of Bronzestone high, can sometimes crack under the pressure, and make bad decisions. This is the difficult freshman year.
The tugs theme then plays.
Junior's POV
The name of my hometown, is Mount Sword. It got the name, because during world war ll before the town was built, there was a massive battle on the land where the town currently is. There was a man named Reginald Johnson, who was in serious danger. The nazis's had taken out the rest of his fellow troops, and he and his fellow Canadians had used up all of their ammunition, with only a sword left. Not a single one of the nazi's had been taken out, and it looked as though Reginald was screwed. Rather than retreat, he continued to fight, despite being severely outnumbered. He dodged the millions of shots fired at him, and slaughtered all the nazi's with only his sword. He would later die in the war in Germany, and his parents would build a town, appropriately named Mount sword. Reginald Johnson's sword is currently on display, in our towns museum.
Reader's POV
Junior had just come home from school, after yet another beating from Chester Creed. His dad actually had some interesting news for him. "Junior, for your first game of the season next week, mayor Richards is going to be in attendance" said Dwayne. "Wow, politicians don't usually show up to high school baseball games" said Junior. "Neither do former reality show contestants for that matter, but it's happening" said Izzy. "Are you both coming to my game?" asked Junior. "Not missing a single one this season" said Harold.
The school Bronzestone was going to be playing against was Checkered loop. The Bronzestone players had put on their uniforms, and the coach was giving the team instructions. "Checkered loop is the weakest team in the league, but that doesn't mean we can't take this seriously" said the coach. "Don't try to take any ridiculous chances, we don't need to lose courtesy of a ridiculous bonehead move."
Up in the stands, obviously people wanted Dwayne's autograph as he was a ridongculous race contestant. They were surprised that former Total Drama contestants Harold and Izzy were watching, and even more surprised when it was revealed that they were a couple.
It wasn't long before everyone had their hands on their hearts for the national anthem, with the Canadian flag blowing in the breeze. Then, it was time for the game to begin. It turned out to be a close game, with both teams being relatively even with each other. It was really difficult for anybody to make it to second base. Junior played really well, despited his body hurting from all of his cuts and bruises.
Going into the bottom of the ninth inning, both teams were tied at three runs apiece. Hudson had actually scored all three runs for the team, with Hudson managing to steal home plate at one point. Junior was up to bat, and his body was really hurting. The commentator couldn't contain his excitement over what happened next. "Santori up to bat, the ball comes his way, and he hits it." "Rolling into the outfield and MARTIN DIVES FOR IT AND MISSES!" "SANTORI HAS JUST GONE PAST FIRST, NOW HE'S HEADING FOR SECOND!" "FLETCHER TAKES THE BALL, PASSES IT OFF TO BURNS!" "SANTORI GOES TO THIRD, HE'S GOING FOR THE WHOLE THING!" "HERE'S THE THROW TO HOME PLATE, IT DOESN'T GET THERE IN TIME!" "BRONZESTONE WINS, WITH A WALK OFF, INSIDE THE PARK HOME RUN!"
Junior's POV
It was a very happy moment for me. The whole team was celebrating, and Checkered loop wasn't upset in the slightest about the lost, and even congratulated us, that is good sportsmanship. I got to shake hands with mayor Douglas Richards, but my biggest surprise was when Bertha went onto the field and kissed me on the lips. I asked her if we were a couple now, and she nodded her head. Something that I wasn't aware of, was that Chester Creed would eventually sabotage his own school. But that is a story for another day.
Authors note: If you plan on playing baseball, be careful with how many bases you try to get to. Only go for the inside the park home run, if you absolutely think you can make it.
Thank you for reading and please have a great day.
