We start off with Dwayne Junior narrating.
The school system, the way it is set up, is useful for helping young kids achieve their goals. But, the students of Bronzestone high, can sometimes crack under the pressure, and make bad decisions. This is the difficult freshman year.
The tugs theme then plays.
Junior's POV
Christmas time was soon approaching, and I am happy to say that on the twentieth of December, Mrs Richards successfully gave birth to seven children. Four boys, and three girls. Christmas is the time of year for family to get together. Harold was slightly upset that he couldn't spend the holidays with his mother and two siblings that year. He at least had his father, and the Santori family was more than welcome to have him.
I was woken up on Christmas morning, by the family dog, who we named Andrew. Andrew was three years old, and ever since we got him, he always licked my face in the morning on Christmas day. Me, Harold, and Izzy went down to the living room, and we began to open presents.
Reader's POV
"Izzy, why aren't you spending Christmas with your own family?" asked Junior. "I'd rather not talk about it" said Izzy. "Yeah, it's not very pleasant" said Harold. Harold then opened the gift Izzy brought him. "Oh my gosh, you actually got me a Toronto Blue Jays winter hat" said Harold. "You'll definitely love what I got you." "Harold, I can't believe you actually got me a plushie of Tony the tiger" said Izzy. She then kissed Harold. "I've got a winter hat for you too Junior" said Izzy. Izzy had gotten Junior a Denny Hamlin winter hat, and Junior then gave Izzy a hand knitted scarf, that resembled the Canadian flag. "Here Junior, I know how much you like racing, so I got you a mint condition copy of Mario Kart 64, autographed signed by Shigeru Miyamoto" said Harold. Junior then gave Harold, a brad new keyboard, and all three of them then hugged.
Junior's POV
This truly was a happy time of year, where we all just got together and had fun. After we had lunch, we decided to actually play that game I just got. It was four player multiplayer, 150 cc, at Bowser's castle. The four that were playing were me, Harold, Izzy and my dad.
Reader's POV
"There is no way I can't be Toad, that mushroom is too adorable" said Dwayne. "DK all the way" said Junior. Izzy then made a funny noise that sounded like a Yoshi. "I'm a Luigi, number one" said Harold.
Once the Lakitu gave the green light, they all took off. While the other three got stuck behind the thwomps, Harold was able to jump out in front. But then Junior hit him with a blue shell. Once they reached the bottom of the stairs, Dwayne spun out Izzy with a banana peel.
On the second lap, Junior knocked Izzy off course with a triple green shell, and sent her into the lava. Harold then used his boo, to steal a gold mushroom from Dwayne.
Going into the third and final lap, Harold had taken quite a big lead, with Izzy lagging back. She managed to get back up to second, thanks to a triple mushroom. As they were coming to the finish, Izzy blasted past Harold with a star, and won. Annie then poked her head into the room. "I made mince pies, i'm sure you'll enjoy them" she said.
Junior's POV
It was a very happy Christmas for all of us. We all had fun together, as a family, and that's really what the holidays are all about. There would be a major incident much farther down the road, that would make us appreciate each other a whole lot more. But that is a story for another day.
Author's note: It really doesn't matter how you plan on spending Christmas, as long as you aren't doing it alone. Go and have a good time with your family.
