Chapter 9

The sun shined through the blinds on the window. Brian woke up, Brad was still asleep. He got up and walked to the side of the bed. No Lexi. "Here I am." She said, walking back in the room. "I had to go to the bathroom."Brian nodded. He walked down the hall to the kitchen. Mr. and Mrs. Roo were already there. "Morning, Brian. How was your sleep?" Mrs. Roo asked, as she was spreading strawberry jam on a piece of toast. "Really good." Brian replied. He took a sit. Mr. Roo slid over a bowl of strawberries and blueberries. Which he downed. Brad came up rubbing his eyes, he let out a yawn.

"Morning, son!" Mrs. Roo said. She slid over his favorite food, which he downed. Lexi walked up and sat down. Mrs. Roo walked over and handed her a bowl of berries and nuts. "So, how'd you sleep last night?" she aske

"Fantastic, thank you!" Brian said.

"Yeah." Lexi added.

Mr. Roo approached Brian as he got up. "So, how do you feel about being a lifeguard again?"Brian nodded. "Excited, but also nervous!" He rubbed the side of his arm. Mr. Roo chuckled as he patted him on the back. "Its good. My friend was the same way, when he first worked at Bondi beach, he was really scared, but he got used to it."Brian smiled and said. "Thanks." he left to the bathroom to shower.


Chapter 10

When Brian was already, he stepped out in the living room and sat down. Brad walked up to him. "So my dad got off the phone with him and he said you can come by whenever." he said.

"Alright!" Brian nodded. He got and walked outside for fresh air. Back inside, Lexi stepped out the bathroom dressed. Brad walked in next.When everyone was ready. They all walked out to the car. Along the way, Brian was pretty nervous. He had never been a lifeguard at the beach before. It was new to him. The poor deer.
