Chapter 15
Brian watched as everyone laid on the sand relaxing and people swimming. It was calm. As Brian was about to drive back to the tower, he caught a glimpse of a fin poking out of the water. Brian turned his head and saw it. A fin. "Shark!" He whispered to himself.
He pulled out his binoculars to get a closer look. He let out a gasp of shock and quickly pulled out his walkie talkie. "Dude!" he began. "We have a shark sighting. I'm on the northeast side."A few people came by to tell him. "There's a shark out there. I don't know what's it's doing." One wolf said.
Brian nodded, the kangaroo came through. "Copy that"
"Yeah, I also have a few witnesses who noticed the shark." Brian added.
Suddenly a loud siren blared. Brian turned to look at the tower which had a siren sitting at the top. People started to pack up. "Brian, I need you to alert the swimmers." The kangaroo spoke through the radio.Brian looked around and spotted a megaphone and switched it on..
"Attention people of Bondi Beach." He announced. "We need all beach goers to clear the water immediately. I repeat. We need all swimmers to clear the water immediately." Other nearby lifeguards blew their whistles as they directed everyone out.
Surfers and swimmers started to clear the water. A few other lifeguards were circling the waters in their jet skis.
Brian looked through the binoculars and saw the fin as it was swimming away. It ducked back underwater. He got back on the walkie talkie to alert the tower. "You can go ahead and switch the siren off. The shark has disappeared."
The siren faded out. A voice came through. "Attention, a shark has been reported in the area. Please clear the water!" It said.
Brian gulped. A helicopter hovered above. The kangaroo came back on the radio. "The shark has disappeared. According to police. Apparently it was described as a hammerhead.""Copy that." Brian got back on the megaphone. "Attention everyone! All clear, you may now return to the waters."Some people cheered as they ran to the water.
