Welcome back and thank you so much for the reviews and suggestions. I really appreciate them.

"Are you sure, you'll be OK, Yotsuba-san?" Honoka asked worriedly as they exited their classroom after school and walked down the corridor.

"After big three he's one of the strongest in our school and has been undefeated since his freshman years," Shizuku informed.

"I'll be fine, don't worry," Tatsuya said without showing any trace of nervousness.

'As expected of a descendant of Ten Master Clan,' Shizuku thought.

Unlike Honoka who didn't know much about them or she didn't really care due to her being an airhead, Shizuku had some idea about their strength. So she wasn't really worried about Tatsuya, who was a direct descendant of Yotsuba, son of Yotsuba Maya no less.

Honoka and Shizuku took their leave reluctantly after retrieving their CADs and Tatsuya and Miyuki walked to the opposite direction for his forthcoming battle. As they walked silently towards their destination Tatsuya glanced to his side after a few minutes to see that his fiancée had a somewhat excited look on her beautiful face.

"You seem quite excited, Miyuki-san," he commented.

"Well…" she drawled, "This will be my first time seeing you, the most powerful magician of our generation in Yotsuba, in action," she smiled teasingly which ended in a chuckle upon seeing him raise one of his brows at her words. She knew that he wasn't really thrilled about this battle. So she just wanted to lighten his mood by teasing him a little.

The corner of Tatsuya's lips went up in spite of himself while shaking his head at the remark. He knew that his fiancée was just teasing him and he felt a bit better but he felt like getting back at her all the same. He smirked as a thought came to his mind. 'Let's see…'

"That may be so but he's quite a strong opponent, you know?" he deadpanned and continued after giving her a side glance, "So why don't you give me a good luck kiss for the match?"

The corner of his lips went up again as he waited to see her blush but to his dismay Miyuki froze and stopped walking at his last words. His smirk was quickly replaced by a worried expression, thinking if he had offended her or overstepped his boundary somehow. He was about to apologize, only a soft pair of lips pressed against his cheek.

His eyes widened in shocked surprise, pleasantly so and he turned towards her to find her pulling away quickly. Her cheeks flaming and he found her looking down shyly, not meeting his gaze. A smile tugged at his lips and he didn't say anything as they continued walking in silence towards their destination.

The third practice room.

When they were in front of the closed door of the said room suddenly Tatsuya leaned down to his left towards Miyuki and whispered in her ear, "Watch me," his lips grazed her ear lightly for a brief moment but intentionally before he pulled back and opened the door.

Blushing red Miyuki touched her ear which felt like burning where his lips had touched.

'Yup, that's the reaction I wanted to see,' Tatsuya thought after seeing her red cheeks from his peripheral vision with a satisfied face.

After willing herself to control her expression Miyuki entered the room with him and found others already waiting there for them.

Hattori was much calmer now.

During recess in the Student Council Room he had let his emotion get the better of him and he had exploded which was so unlike him. Kirihara, his good friend, had said so too when he learned the reason of his foul mood earlier.

He had been thinking back what made him dislike Yotsuba Tatsuya. Was it because he's a Yotsuba, a descendant of Ten Master Clan? No, that's not the reason. Now that he thought back with a cool head, he realized why. It's not that he disliked Tatsuya. It's more like he was jealous of him.

Yes, it's jealousy. He would admit that.

And why was that?

On the entrance ceremony he had seen Mayumi approaching him when he was sitting alone on a bench in the courtyard. He was glad that Tatsuya didn't seem affected by her feminine charms and had walked away afterwards.

Later that day they had talked again after the entrance ceremony when they were in the process of recruiting the freshmen representative Shiba Miyuki. Mayumi had perked up when she spotted him in the crowd of students and had tried to flirt with him. He remembered glaring at Tatsuya when he came to them and what was the reason? Because she had called him by his first name and had shown a considerate amount of interest in him.

Even in the student council room he had heard her talking about him more than once with an expression which he didn't quite like. He had known Mayumi long enough to know that she was interested in him and that had… hurt.

Before entering First High he merely had a crush on her from watching her during Nine School Competition but it had developed to something more after knowing her in person and working with her in the student council. His feelings for her had only deepened with every passing day.

But when a boy appeared out of nowhere, not to mention a Yotsuba and caught her attention, he couldn't bear it. He couldn't find it in himself to get mad at Mayumi, so unknowingly he had directed his frustration towards Tatsuya. Even so he wasn't going to act on his internal turmoil because he knew that Tatsuya was innocent and hadn't really shown any ounce of interest in Mayumi.

On the contrary he had heard that he was interested in the freshmen representative, Shiba Miyuki. Well, he wasn't really surprised at that given she was quite the beauty if he was being honest with himself. Anyways he wasn't shallow enough to pick on him just because Mayumi was interested in him.

But when he found him being downright rude to the woman he loved when she had been cordial and tolerant to him in spite of that from day one, he couldn't tolerate it. So he had snapped and challenged him.

He knew that he had been impulsive and a bit idiotic to be honest but he couldn't bear to see Mayumi's downcast face. Besides he wanted Tatsuya to show some respect to her as his senior even if he was not interested in her, because unlike Mayumi's his tone was not cordial, not once.

So he just wanted Tatsuya to apologize to her sincerely, that's all. He knew that being a descendant of Ten Master Clan he was bound to be strong but he wasn't weak either. From the day he entered First High he hadn't lost once and he had confidence in his abilities.

Even if Tatsuya was strong, he was still a freshman where he was one of the top five strongest students in First High. He wasn't really boasting because it was the truth. Besides he was experienced. So he had a higher chance of winning.

"Sorry for the wait," Tatsuya said upon entering the room, though honestly he didn't really feel sorry.

"Is that for your CAD?" Mari who was standing nearby asked indicating Tatsuaya's CAD case as she walked towards the couple.

"Yes," Tatsuya replied as he placed it on a side table and opened it. He pulled out one of the two hand gun shaped CADs. He had his generalized CAD but he much preferred his specialized ones.

"Hattori is quite strong, you know? He is among the top five in our school." Mari informed him while leaning against the edge of the table beside him. If her closeness to Tatsuya made Miyuki irritated or anything, she didn't let it show on her face.

Without looking at her Tatsuya replied, "I never thought that he's weak," he closed the case after lodging a cartridge into his CAD and finally looked at her.

Seeing no trace of nervousness in his features Mari said ruefully, "You are pretty calm, I've lost a little confidence."

He just shrugged as response before throwing a glance at his fiancée who was standing on the other side of the table silently.

As Mari went to the starting line in the center Tatsuya found Miyuki nearing him. "Do your best!" Miyuki whispered with a sweet smile.

"I'll," he said with a smile of his own.

When he walked to the starting line of his side, Hattori was already standing at his. There was five meters distance between them.

Miyuki went and stood beside Azusa who was looking at the boys anxiously.

Mari who was the judge of this match said, "Alright, allow me to explain the rules. Lethal attack or any attack that causes permanent damage or disability is strictly forbidden but attacks that do not result in anything greater than bone fracture is permitted. Unarmed combat is allowed but not weapons. Activate your CAD only after I've given signal. This battle will end when one side is unable to continue. If either of you break any of the rules it will result in your own defeat automatically and I'll use my full strength to stop it, remember that. That's all."

Mari turned her head left and right in turn to see their response.

Both sides nodded without words, having solemn expression plastered on their faces – both waiting for Mari's signal to start.

"Begin!"

5 seconds later…

Tatsuya walked towards his CAD case with an expressionless almost apathetic look on his face while others gaped at him except Miyuki who had a small but prideful smile on her beautiful face.

Hattori was out cold.

When he was about to put his CAD back in his case, Mari who had recovered from her shock faster than others called out to him, "Wait!"

Tatsuya turned around as Mari briskly walked towards him. "What was that?" she demanded.

"What?" he asked back.

"Did you preemptively input a Speed Ability?" her eyes narrowed.

After Mari's signal Hattori had tapped three digits on his bracelet shaped CAD – already in the process of evoking his magic, the one who evokes magic first usually wins – with that tactic in mind he could already taste victory in his tongue as for some reason his opponent hadn't evoked magic yet, it didn't matter though because he wouldn't lose either way.

But…

He let out a cry of surprise as suddenly he found his opponent at arms' length, filling his field of vision. His fingers flew over his CAD to change the target but his target vanished before he had a chance to evoke his magic.

He panicked slightly at the unexpected situation, looking right and left and before long a powerful 'wave motion' approached his flank.

Three consecutive wave motions.

They overlapped with one another inside Hattori's body, causing a massive swaying to breakout which resulted in him losing consciousness.

Yotsuba Tatsuya won.

Tatsuya could have given Miyuki a good show if he faced Hattori head on and he had thought to do just that but later changed his mind because he didn't want his abilities out of bag just yet. So he opted for the fastest method, promising himself that he would show Miyuki his magic later.

"That's impossible and I think Senpai is aware of it more than anyone else," he pointed out the obvious.

As Tatsuya said, it was indeed impossible as Mari had been keeping a closer look at their CADs. Even if anything went unnoticed by her, which was unlikely, Mayumi could have still seen it.

"Then how?" she looked confused now, the earlier sharpness in her eyes gone now. Looking behind her Tatsuya could see the same look in others faces except Miyuki because she had already seen him using the same ability just this morning.

If it was magical ability then they could have understood but it didn't feel like magic earlier. And without magic, how's it possible? the same question filled all of their heads.

"That wasn't magic but bona fide physical technique," Tatsuya replied simply without bothering to explain.

"I have heard that Tatsuya-san is training under Ninjutsu user Kokonoe Yakumo. So that's not magic but a ninjutsu technique," Miyuki took it upon her and supplied the information. She looked at Tatsuya for confirmation who nodded in response.

Mari inhaled sharply. Unlike Mayumi, Azusa and Suzune who didn't know about him, Mari was familiar with that name – for her being versed in magical combat.

On the other hand in spite of not understanding it they (Mayumi, Suzune and Azusa) were surprised that he had accomplished such a feat which they thought was only possible with the aid of magic.

"Then that attack… was that also Ninjutsu? I think I saw the release of Psion wave," Mayumi asked, belatedly realizing that it was rude of her because asking about someone's unreleased magical ability or how it works is against the rules. Well she was still shocked, so…

"You are right, that's not Ninjutsu," Tatsuya confirmed and added, "Those are Psion wave motions and the foundation came from Oscillation type Basic Single System Magic."

"Given that, I still don't get it how you knocked Hanzou-kun out."

He explained patiently which only made her more confused. Later Suzune, who had been listening silently, contributed what she understood from her observation and Tatsuya's explanation. Tatsuya gave her an approving nod. Suzune was stunned speechless at his calculation abilities and she also earned Tatsuya's praise for being able to comprehend it after watching it just once.

While they conversed from his peripheral vision Tatsuya saw Azusa nearing his right side, her eyes glued to his CAD. When she was close enough he turned a questioning eye towards her to see what she was up to.

"Tatsuya-kun, is that CAD 'Silver Horn'?" she asked. Her eyes were shining so brightly that he thought he saw stars in her eyes.

"Silver Horn? A-chan, are you talking about Taurus Silver?" Mayumi asked her.

Visibly brightening, she excitedly said, "That's him! The miraculous CAD engineer associated with FLT, whose name, appearance, data all remained a mystery!"

As she prattled on and on while Mayumi tried to calm her down, Tatsuya looked at his other two Senpais who were grinning at him.

Mari gave a short laugh at his confuse expression and said, "That's our 'Device Geek'!" She pointed at Azusa who was now heaving from talking so much.

That explained why.

Then suddenly she was beside him again. Her sparkling eyes glued to his CAD once more and she asked eagerly, "Where did you get it, Tatsuya-kun?" she reached out to touch it, already realized that it was custom-made but he held it up above his head out of her reach which caused her to jump up to reach it. As it went on and others watched this scene with amusement, Hattori regained his consciousness.

"Ugh…!" He groaned and clutched the side of his head as it was still throbbing.

Miyuki who was standing closer quickly got down and helped him sit up. Mayumi bend at her waist and asked, "You OK, Hanzou-kun?"

"I'm fine!" he shot up forgetting about his headache.

"Do you want a run down about what we discussed just now?" she asked.

"No, it's fine. I understand it more or less," he replied quickly.

"So you heard us? You were conscious?" she probed standing straight.

"No… I wasn't fully conscious, my mind was hazy but my ear was still working and I regained movement just now," he explained flushing.

Watching Hattori's expression it was very easy to understand his underlying emotions and it seemed like Mayumi was also well aware of his feelings for her.

'Or am I misreading the whole situation?' Tatsuya decided to stop thinking about them and went back to keep his CAD in his CAD case, intentionally ignoring Azusa's longing look. When he turned back after closing it, he found Hattori looking at him. He wondered if he wanted to say something but in the end he didn't.

Stiffening his spine Hattori turned to Mayumi while wiping his emotions from his face and said, "Then I'm leaving, President."

"OK," Mayumi said and he was gone.

Turing back she asked, "So you really won't be joining us?"

Everyone knew who that question was directed to. In spite of what happened in the Student Council Room earlier, she was still asking the same question...

'This woman!'

The said person replied the same thing with politeness this time but there's something in his voice which didn't leave any room for argument.

And Mayumi didn't say anything anymore.

"I'm sorry for making you wait," Miyuki said as she came out of the school gate and found her fiancé waiting for her.

Shaking his head at her he gave her a small smile, "I offered, didn't I? Besides I don't mind."

"Still, you could have gone back," Miyuki said as they started walking.

"Nope, it's not safe for a girl, specially a beautiful one such as you to go home alone."

'And you don't have a guardian yet,' he didn't voice his thought.

Miyuki felt happy to hear that. "Are you flirting with me, Tatsuya-san?" she asked smiling slightly.

"Am I now?" he asked back feigning thoughtful but the corner of his lips went up in spite of himself and he found himself grinning which caused Miyuki to chuckle softly.

As the couple neared a cabinet car Tatsuya offered her his hand again like yesterday. She took it and they entered the car.

"How was work at Student Council?" Tatsuya asked, knowing she wasn't really eager to join earlier.

"It wasn't half bad, better than I thought," she smiled.

"That's good," he said.

"By the way… I was wondering if it's OK for me to ask," Miyuki trailed off hesitating.

Tatsuya smiled, "You can ask me anything without reservation," he encouraged her.

As they had met just a day ago Miyuki still wasn't sure if she could ask him personal questions but at his encouragement her hesitation washed away. So she turned towards him.

"Why didn't you want to join Student Council?" it was a valid question given today's events but unlike Mayumi he didn't have any reason to hide it from Miyuki.

"Is it because you didn't want to get involved with the President, a Saegusa?" Miyuki asked again before he answered.

Bingo!

"Was I that obvious?" Tatsuya asked as a slight smile played at his lips. He didn't seem offended that she had guessed right, more like it pleased him.

Miyuki was happy that she had guessed it right. So she gave him a slight smile and said, "Not really but it was the only reason I could think of at that time but I don't think they understood your intentions."

"That's good then," his slight smile turned into a full one. It was the same smile that made him look more charming yesterday and she found herself staring at him again, a distant part of her was glad that he hadn't shown this smile of his to anyone in the school other than her.

Silence filled the car, only it wasn't an awkward one.

Tatsuya was thinking about something. He had a talk with Miya last night when Miyuki went to take her shower and he was wondering if he should bring that up now. Thinking it was the right time as they were alone now he turned towards her with a serious expression.

"Miyuki-san, I had a talk with aunt yesterday," he began.

"About what?" she asked curiously.

"About…" he broke off wondering how he should broach it. It's not like he doubted her abilities, not really. He knew very well that his fiancée was a very powerful magician but it wouldn't really hurt to ensure her safety.

"Tatsuya-san?"

"It's about your safety, Miyuki-san," he said and waited to see if there's any negative reaction in her, finding none he continued, "You don't have any guardian yet. Even I have one though I don't really need one."

She nodded and waited for him to continue.

"So while talking, aunt asked me to put my elemental sight on you."

"Oh," was her only response. Miyuki was looking down at her clasped hands on her lap. She was silent as if pondering about something.

Tatsuya waited for a few minutes but she neither moved nor said anything.

"You know about my elemental sight, right?" he asked, not wanting the awkward silence to continue.

"Yes," she affirmed stiffly.

"Actually no one has asked me to do it. I just thought about it when I saw no one came to take you home yesterday," he explained her, not wanting her to think that he was asked by his mother to spy on her or anything.

Miyuki relaxed visibly at his confession.

He began again, "Though aunt has given me the 'OK', I still want to know what you think about it. If you don't like it I won't put it on you. It's just it'll be easier to know if you are in any danger." He justified himself.

He didn't know why he did that. He had never bothered explaining his actions before, not even to his mother, that fearful woman. But for some reason he just did as he didn't want the girl sitting beside him, to hate him or doubt him.

'Why though?' he wondered but couldn't find any answer. So he stopped thinking too deeply about it.

Miyuki looked at the boy who was waiting for her answer. He could have put his elemental sight on her without her permission given her mother had already asked him to do so. Even she wouldn't have known but he didn't do that.

He was waiting for her permission over her mother's and it almost made her smile to think that it was his turn to hesitate when he brought up this subject earlier. Thinking so for the first time it came to her mind that may be she wasn't engaged to the wrong guy.

Miyuki's face revealed a sweet smile and she said, "OK, you can put it on me."

"Really?" he asked in surprise because no one would want to be watched 24/7 even if it's for their safety.

"Yes," she confirmed, still smiling that sweet smile.

"Alright," Tatsuya smiled with relief and finally put his elemental sight on her.

As Tatsuya and Miyuki entered they were greeted by an unexpected person. Well Tatsuya had already known given he had detected his presence earlier.

"Welcome home, my lord, my lady," Hanabishi Hyougo greeted them with a bow.

"Hyougo-san," Tatsuya nodded. He called him by his given name, not wanting to confuse him with his father because his father was also a butler in Yotsuba main house.

Miyuki also nodded at him. She had seen him a few times in Yotsuba house but it was the first time they met face to face.

"Please, allow me," Hyougo asked politely to give him their bags. Tatsuya gave him his knowing how persistent he could be sometimes regarding these things.

As Miyuki didn't move he again asked, "Miyuki-sama."

She gave him her bag reluctantly.

They entered the living room and found Miya sitting cross legged on the sofa with a tea cup in her elegant hand and Honami standing by her side. They greeted the teens and Miyuki walked over to her mother, "Okaa-sama!"

She sat beside her as her mother asked her how her school was after putting the cup on the coffee table in front and some other stuff. Tatsuya excused himself to his room after exchanging a few words with Miya. Hyougo followed after him with his bag before passing Miyuki's bag to Honami who took it to her room.

He put out his clothes for the night from Tatsuya's closet which Tatsuya allowed and started to change into them. Unlike other members of Yotsuba Tatsuya and his guardian moved separately most of the time. So whenever Hyougo got the chance, he always tried to do other works for his primary. For some things Tatsuya didn't really need any assistance but he allowed this privilege to Hyougo, knowing he wanted nothing but to serve him.

Sitting on the bed after changing Tatsuya asked, "So, what's the matter, Hyougo-san?" knowing full well that Hyougo wasn't here just to prepare his clothes for him.

"While you were at school, I took the liberty to transform the basement room for you after getting permission from both Miya-sama and Maya-sama. It's exactly the same as the one in the main house so that you can continue your research without hindrance. I have also prepared a motorcycle as well as a car," he reported politely.

"You did a good job, Hyougo-san," Tatsuya expressed his appreciation with a hint of a smile.

"I'm unworthy of such praise," he said humbly but Tatsuya knew that he's pleased nonetheless.

Tatsuya had met Hanabishi Hyougo at the age of ten. Hyougo was seventeen at that time. Tatsuya didn't want a guardian, so he refused his service at first and it took a lot of effort on Hyougo's part to get Tatsuya to accept him. Maya was also very persistent. But it was his efficiency and diligence that earned him Tatsuya's trust and from then on Tatsuya slowly started to accept his assistance in his work. Though they were not like others as Hyougo didn't need to stay by his primary's side 24/7 and Tatsuya didn't let him pledge his life for him, he was satisfied that Tatsuya accepted him as his guardian and also accepted his assistance.

When they left the room and came downstairs they found Miyuki and Honami moving in the kitchen. Miyuki had already changed out of her school uniform and her hair was pulled up in a ponytail which gave a tantalizing view of her neck. She was now dicing carrots on a chopping board with other vegetables while Honami was doing something but they couldn't tell as her back was facing them. Miya was nowhere to be seen. Well she was back in her room.

Miyuki looked up from the chopping board and found her fiancé and his guardian standing in the living room. Hyougo quickly made his way to the kitchen and politely asked, "Miyuki-sama, please, allow me."

It was obvious that he was asking her to let him chop the vegetables.

"But-" before she began to protest he asked again, "Why don't you go and check out the basement facility with Tatsuya-sama instead?"

At that she stopped. Her eyes met Tatsuya's in slight confusion. Without explaining her fiancé gave her a slight smile and said, "Let's go."

At Basement

Miyuki looked around the facility in amazement. She began, "This is…"

"It's so I can continue my research here, it's similar to the one in the main house," Tatsuya replied her question before she asked. Though Tatsuya was already familiar with everything, it didn't mean that he couldn't appreciate it again.

Tatsuya was standing at the foot of the examination bed while Miyuki looked around taking in her surroundings. Then she turned around and walked over to the bed.

"Is this for measurement purpose?" Miyuki asked looking down at the bed while walking slowly around it, her fingers sliding over the edge of the bed.

"Yeah, for CAD maintenance," came his voice.

Miyuki suddenly stopped her walk when her eyes fell on the slipper clad feet and she looked up, startled to find herself standing awfully close to Tatsuya.

He was staring at her with those deep blue eyes without showing any intention of moving away and she also found herself rooted to the spot, staring back at him as if mesmerized.

Without the sound of their breath it was silent in the room and they kept staring at each other as if refused to break their eye contact. After a while Tatsuya's eyes involuntarily slid down to her pink kissable lips which parted at his gaze. Her heart beat accelerated and he heard it clearly. His was also a bit faster.

As his gaze returned to her eyes he found her blushing enchantingly and after a moment those beautiful blue eyes which were a shade lighter than his closed in anticipation or was it invitation?

Needing no further encouragement from her he closed the remaining gap between them and leaned down. One of his hands came up to cup her cheek which had become warmer due to blood rushing there and she shivered slightly at his touch. It brought a smile to his lips. When he was on the verse of claiming her lips a female voice startled them.

"Tatsuya-sama, Miyuki-san, please come up, dinner is ready!" Honami's voice came from the other side of the closed door.

Miyuki's eyes had opened when she heard Honami's voice and as they heard her going up she quickly pulled away and turned her back at him. Her cheeks turned a deeper shade of red and she tried to control her violently beating heart.

She closed her eyes and took a deep breath and wondered whether she was relived or disappointed for being interrupted – obviously the later. She didn't know how she was going to face Tatsuya but she couldn't right now, as she needed a few minutes to compose herself.

Tatsuya on the other hand was reflecting on how he hadn't noticed her coming down. After a few seconds he realized why. His attention was on Miyuki and as Honami was not a threat to them he hadn't sensed her coming or bothered using his elemental sight.

He sighed with slight disappointment for being interrupted and looked over at Miyuki who had turned away from him after hearing Honami's voice. Even without looking at her face he knew that she was blushing hard. He didn't say anything and let her stay like that knowing she needed time to cool down.

After a few minutes Tatsuya moved to the door and said, "Miyuki-san, let's go up."

"Yes, let's go," she replied turning around, glad that her face had gained its normal color and her voice didn't quiver but she still couldn't look at him in the eyes and Tatsuya didn't mind.

As they reached the dining room Miya came down from her room. She sat at the head of the table while Tatsuya and Miyuki sat on her both sides. Honami helped her in her chair while Hyougo did the same for Tatsuya and Miyuki.

After serving Miya, Tatsuya and Miyuki, Honami stood behind Miya while Hyougo stood behind Tatsuya. Hyougo left after having dinner as he lived nearby.

After finished showering Miyuki and Tatsuya sat in the living room with their preferred drinks. Miya was already drinking her tea.

"Tatsuya-sama, you'll be going to FLT tomorrow morning, right?" Honami asked.

Miyuki who was sipping her milk tea paused at Honami's sudden question. She had a feeling that Honami was plotting something.

Somehow Tatsuya thought the same as her and replied, "Yes," while eyeing her curiously yet suspiciously.

He watched her brightening up and Honami turned to Miyuki who was sitting beside her mother. "Miyuki-san, you are also free tomorrow, right?"

"Yes," she replied throwing a look at Tatsuya who met her eyes briefly before turning them to Honami. Miyuki did the same.

"Then why don't you take Miyuki-san with you, Tatuya-sama? And after your work at FLT you guys can go out and have fun," she suggested gleefully, her eyes twinkling.

Tatsuya had thought as much and suppressed an amused smile. For some reason this guardian of his aunt was quite supportive or rather enthusiastic for them to have quality time together though she was also the one who had unintentionally interrupted them earlier.

The corner of his lips went up in spite of that and he looked at Miyuki who was also looking at him. From the look of it she didn't seem like she was against the idea. It's the opposite – she looked like she wanted to but was unsure of his response.

Well he didn't really see any reason to refuse given he enjoyed her company as much. But before giving his answer he threw a glance at Miya who seemed like she hadn't heard them or she didn't have any problem with that as she continued to sip her tea without saying anything.

'Well, that's good.'

"OK," Tatsuya replied turning to Honami. Miyuki smiled and her face warmed when Tatsuya looked at her.

"It's a date then!" Honami shouted with joy. Taking Miyuki's hand she pulled her upstairs, "C'mon Miyuki-san, we need to prepare for tomorrow."

Left alone Miya and Tatsuya drank their drinks silently.

"How's your research coming along, Tatsuya-san?" she asked.

"It's going well. It will take a bit longer given I can't work like before anymore due to attending high school but I can assure you that it'll succeed," he said with conviction after finishing the drink.

"That's good to hear," a small smile graced her lips before she took another sip of her tea.

Silence fell again. As he was finished and she wasn't saying anything he thought to excuse himself but Miya suddenly spoke again.

"Have you talked to Maya after coming here?"

"Kaa-san? No, why?" he asked back.

"Give her a call because she called earlier and was saying that her son had forgotten her," she sounded mildly sarcastic.

'She can be such a drama queen sometimes,' Tatsuya thought. "OK, I'll. Then good night, obaa-san."

"Good night."

To be continued...

A/N: I really didn't want to but someone here is being quite rude. I've already said from the start that this story is different and that I've an explanation for Tatsuya having emotions which will reveal much later but that person is SO sure that I can't. I don't think you know me that well to be so sure about that. And I also don't get it why you are so worried about Tokyo being erased or whatever. I think I need to remind you that it's a FANFICTION. So authors can write about their imaginations. If you can't take the suspense, then drop it. I'm not forcing you to read my fanfic. I appreciate my readers, their reviews and I also appreciate suggestions as two of my reviewers have given them already and I'm glad they did. Those help but I won't tolerate you criticizing me when you don't even know the whole thing.
