GH5 22: May 30th, 2015.

The dream changed scenes and the next thing i knew, i was inside a firehouse. An all too familiar firehouse at that. As i looked around at my new surroundings, i realized that i was now in the firehouse that i grew up in.

My Mom, Karen Lewis, and my Dad had their luggage beside them and were waiting for me.

"Mom?" I said. "Mom. Mom?" There was no response from her, nor did she and Dad notice me.

"I can't believe you're going camping without me." Said a male fireman as he and another male fireman and my 5-year old self entered inside the room, with me wearing a backpack on my back.

"Hey, Karen. How come you're so lucky you get to go on this adventure?" The second male fireman said.

"Keegan begged me." Mom said.

"You're a good son, Keegan." Said the second fireman. "So Keegan, what did you pack in your survival kit?"

"Baseball cards, lots of gum..." Said my 5-year old self. "and super heroes." He said as he reached into his right pants pocket and pulled out a red Power Ranger Dino Charge action-figure.

"Wow. Super heroes? Look at that?" The first fireman said.

"Yeah, he always rides right here." Said my 5-year old self as he placed the red Ranger back inside his right pants pocket. "He takes care of me."

"Hey, you all set?" Dad asked Mom.

"Yeah. I think it's gonna be fun." Mom said.

"Good, well, listen, i hope you don't think Keegan pushed you into going on this camping trip." Said Dad.

"Oh, no, no, i really want to go. I'm very glad our son talked me into going. I haven't spent that much time with him since he started school last year. Neither have you." Mom said.

"Well, maybe this could be your head-start...and mine." Dad said.

"One problem." Mom said.

"What's that?" Dad asked.

"What if something comes up at work and i have to leave?" Mom asked.

"That is not a possibility." Dad said.

"What are you and the rest of the crew gonna do when i'm gone?" My 5-year old self asked the two male firemen.

"Ah, we'll think of something, Keegan. You know, we're gonna miss you though." Said the first fireman.

"Listen, we better hit the road or we might as well leave tomorrow." Said Mom.

"No, i wanna go camping now so i can tell ghost stories." Said my 5-year old self.

"Oh, no, now we're gonna be up all night, telling him there's no such thing as ghosts." Said Dad.

"Hahahaha!" Mom laughed.

"You have a great time, okay?" Said the second fireman as Mom and Dad picked up their luggage.

"Yeah. Hey, see you later." Said the first fireman as my 5-year old self and his parents headed for the front door.

"Hey, Keegan, let me have you back-" Said Dad as he removed my 5-year old self's backpack, only for it to drop to the floor. "Oh, my gosh, this thing is heavy. What did you put in here?"

"He got all his baseball cards, a toy dump-truck, and that book called Elliot Gets Lost. I told him we're gonna be gone from June to August." Said Mom as she, my 5-year old self and Dad exited the building through the front door.

I then realized what was happening and why Mom and Dad didn't notice me. This wasn't just a dream...this was a flashback of May 30th, 2015. The day everything changed for me and my Dad. The day...my Mom died.
