GH5 25: A Hidden Truth Revealed.
Like a TV, the scroll began showing the scene of Linda's husband's delivery truck driving on the road on the countryside of Canada. Inside the truck was Martin, who was driving the vehicle, and...Linda?
"Linda? What's she doing in the truck?" I asked.
"You'll see." Mom said.
I continued to watch the scene on the scroll and i saw Linda holding a bottle of vodka in her right hand as she and Martin argued with each other. I could tell she was drunk.
"My father was right! You married me for my looks, and as soon as another pretty face came along, you fell out of love with me and started stalking her! How could you?! How could you, Martin?!" Linda scolded.
Martin kept his eyes on the road and didn't say anything.
"You can't even look at me! I love you! I made you the center of my world, i gave you two beautiful daughters, for crying out loud! And you lost interest in me and started stalking some other woman?! Do you have any idea what you've done to me?! What i've been through, how humiliated i feel?!" Said Linda.
"Linda, i told you i was sorry. Please let me drive." Said Martin with his british accented voice.
"I HATE YOU! I HATE YOU FOR WHAT YOU'VE DONE TO ME! I HATE-PULL OVER! STOP THE TRUCK!" Linda screamed.
"I'm trying to be nice here!" Said Martin.
"JUST STOP THE TRUCK!" Linda screamed.
"Look, i'm not stopping the truck." Martin said.
"ALL YOU MEN ARE ALIKE, YOU JUST THINK ABOUT YOURSELF, YOU DON'T THINK ABOUT ANYONE BUT YOURSELF! JUST STOP THE TRUCK AND GET OUT AND I WILL DRIVE MYSELF TO THE AIRPORT!" Screamed the drunk Linda.
"I am not-"
"PULL THE TRUCK OVER!" Linda screamed, cutting Martin off as she grabbed the wheel with her left hand and began fighting over it with him, making the truck swerve on both sides of the road. "PULL OVER! MARTIN! PULL OVER! PULL OVER!"
"Stop, Linda!" Said Martin as he and Linda fought over the stirring-wheel. "Get ahold of yourself!"
The vehicle then swerved on the left lane and Martin looked and saw a station wagon come into view on the left side of the road.
"NOOOOOOOOO!" Martin screamed as his truck sped towards the station wagon and crashed into it head on, and everything went white.
The scene cut to Linda getting out of the now damaged truck, closing the door, and fleeing into the forest and hiding behind a tree. She poked her head out and watched as my 5-year old self got out of the back of the damaged station wagon and went to the front passenger door and opened it, revealing my injured, unconscious parents inside.
"Mommy? Daddy?" Said my 5-year old self, with the scene now having volume. But there was no answer from either one of my parents. "You guys, come on. You gotta wake up." There was no answer. "Mom...Dad...we gotta go home." Said my 5-year old self as tears filled my eyes. I started shaking Mom, but she didn't respond. "HEEEEEEEELP!" I screamed as i ran away from the station wagon. "SOMBODY!" I shouted. "ANYBODY...help." I said before the tears fell from my eyes.
Sirens were then heard and i turned around to see an ambulance and a fire-truck arrive at the scene.
Linda, meanwhile, took off, running deeper into the forest to get further out of sight.
The scene on the scroll then disappeared, followed by the scroll rolling up and disappearing itself in a flash of gold light.
"Now do you believe me?" Mom asked.
"Wow." I began. "I-i don't know what to say. I mean...Linda blamed me, you and Dad for her husband's death...knowing that she herself was the one fully responsible for the wreck. Which means i didn't cause your death or Linda's husband's. It's not my fault that you both died." I said.
"No...it isn't." Said Mom.
I then turned my attention to the fake-Linda. "Get out. Get out of my dream and go to the dark realm where you belong. NOW!"
Fake-Linda glared at my Mom, who just smiled at her, then the british orange-haired woman turned back into the Bog-Man, with his eyes glowing red, followed by the Grim Reaper, the angel of death, appearing behind him. The Reaper placed his right hand on the monster's right shoulder and creature began to decompose before our very eyes. As the Bog-Man continued to rot, both he and the Reaper sunk down into the grass-covered ground, phasing through it like ghosts until they were gone and out of sight.
"What was he?" I asked.
"He use to be a human being...but he traded his humanity for the power of darkness. And his power over you, Keegan, has just been broken." Mom said.
"That was close." I said.
"He almost stopped you from doing what you were suppose to do, you know. To help other kids like you and to move on with your life." Said Mom.
"I'm not. I'm not moving on. I wanna be okay all the time." I admitted.
"Your Dad and aunt Candace don't expect you to be okay all the time, Keegan. They want to know when or if you're not alright. They want you to be able to come to them when you're troubled and let them know it. That's part of what having a Mom and Dad is for. And if you wanna call your aunt Candace Mom...it's alright with me." Said Mom.
"I'm sorry. I don't know how to be like you." I said.
"As your mother, i was most proud of one thing: Having you as my son." Mom said.
"That was a long time ago." I said.
"No, Keegan...that is forever." Mom said. Her body then started to glow gold and she began to slowly ascend off the ground.
"No, please. Don't leave me again." I begged.
"I never left you. I never will. Remember who you are. Remember." Said Mom before she ascended up into the gold-yellow cloud-covered sky, disappearing from view.
And everything faded to white.
