GH5 26: Waking Up To Tragedy.

I awoke in my guest bedroom of the Dale house and sat up in a hospital bed. I looked at the electric clock on the night-stand and saw that it was 8:00 o'clock. I looked down at my clothes and saw that i was wearing a black sleeveless undershirt, which i found rather strange, because this wasn't what i wearing when i went to bed. I pushed the covers back and got out of bed, revealing myself to be wearing dark blue knee-length shorts and the fact that i was barefoot, and i went over to the window, revealing it still be night time, meaning it was 8:00 PM. But that couldn't be right. It was 10:00 PM when the others and i went to bed. How could it be another day? Was it possible that i had slept through an entire day? Was that even possible?

Copper, meanwhile, awoke on the floor at the foot of the bed.

Adriana and Isaac, also wearing different clothes, rushed into my room as i turned to face them, and they and Copper ran up to me. Adriana was wearing sleep-clothes and house-shoes while Isaac was shirtless and wore gray sweat-pants and white socks.

Isaac did a fist-bump with me, congratulating me on a job well done.

Seth and Harper then ran into the room, stopping at the doorway.

"Keegan!" Seth and Harper said.

Adriana, Isaac, Copper and i looked to see Seth and Harper standing in the room at the doorway.

"Harper! Seth!" I said excitedly.

Seth and Harper ran up to us and Adriana, Isaac and i each embraced them with a hug.

"Oh, thank Heaven you're both safe. Did you get back here?" Adriana said.

"Well, we-"

Adam, Chelsea, Emma, Dad, Candace, Layla and four more people we didn't know rushed into the room, cutting Seth off. Three of the people were guys and the fourth person was a woman with blond shoulder-length hair and blue eyes.

"Oh, my goodness." Dad said is disbelief as he and aunt Candace stared wide-eyed at me, Copper, Adriana and Isaac, as if he had just seen a ghost.

"Dad...Mom." I said, referring to aunt Candace as Mom.

"KEEGAN!" Dad and aunt Candace screamed in excitement.

"MOM! DAD!" I shouted excitedly as i ran up to Dad and aunt Candace, followed by them both embracing me with a hug and me embracing them with a hug.

"Keegan! Oh, thank Heavens you're awake." Candace said.

"Thank Heavens they're all awake." Layla said, referring to me, Copper, Adriana and Isaac.

Dad, aunt Candace and i ended the hug.

"What do you mean? We've only been asleep for a whole night." I said.

"Yeah, try two whole months." Seth said.

I turned to face Seth and Harper. "What? Two months? I don't understand. Isn't it August?"

"No. It's October. October 31st." Harper said.

"Halloween." Seth added.

"HALLOWEEN?!" Adriana, Isaac and i gasped.

"You mean we slept through two whole months without waking up?!" Isaac gasped.

"Hey, don't get mad at us, we're just repeating what we were told." Seth said.

"But that makes no sense. How is it possible for a person, much less three people and a dog, to sleep through two months without waking up?" Adriana said.

"You were in comas." Chelsea said.

"And on hospice." Adam added.

"Comas? Hospice? How did that happen? When did that happen?" Isaac asked.

"Yeah, and who are these people?" Adriana asked, referring to the woman and the three men.

"You, Isaac, Keegan and Copper have been in comas since August 22nd. You went to sleep on the night of August 21st and didn't wake up the next morning. Long story short, we ended up putting you all on hospice, helped look for Harper, who was reported missing by her Mom the same morning we found out you were in comas, we did research on the house, found out it belonged to a child serial killer back in 1979 and the 1980s, called up these people, they set up their equipment in the house, and that's how we got Seth and Harper back." Adam explained.

"And just who are these guys?" I asked.

"Hi, i'm Elsa Fox. We're a paranormal investigative team. Adam phoned us for help, we came right over and...well, you know the rest." The blond-haired woman said.

"Thanks for getting us out of the dream world." Seth said.

"Don't mention it." One of the three men said.

"You guys...where's Connor?" Harper asked.

"Connor? What are you ta-" I stopped myself right there when i realized what she was talking about. "Oh, snap, Connor!"

"He didn't come back with us! That means he must still be in the dream world!" Seth said.

"Now, now, don't panic, i'm sure he's around here somewhere. He probably just ended up in another part of the house." Elsa said.

"Well, what are we standing around here for? Let's look for him." Emma said.

We all rushed out of the room and split up and searched around the house for Connor, calling his name. Adam, Chelsea, Emma, Elsa and the three men looked upstairs and the others and i searched downstairs...but the kid was nowhere to be found.

Copper and i ran into the living-room, looking for Connor...but there was no sign of the boy anywhere. The paranormal team's equipment was set up in the room.

"Connor?! Connor?! Connor, where are you?! Connor!?" I called. But there was no reply.

"Keegan! Keegan, come quick!" Came the crying voice of Seth.

Copper and ran out of the living-room and to the open basement-door, where we rushed down the basement-stairs. When we got to the bottom, we saw the back of Seth, who was obviously crying.

"Seth...what's wrong?" I asked before Copper and i walked up to him. How i wish we hadn't. Because then we wouldn't have seen what he saw.

Lying on the floor face-down was none...was the lifeless body...of Connor.

He was dead.

Tears filled my eyes and ran down my face as i started to cry along with Seth, who's face was already stained with tears, while Copper whimpered in sadness.

"Connor." Seth said cryingly.
