Hi!

*Drop*

Bye!

"How did we end up here?"

- Anonymous

"If this continues I don't want to know what will happen next." The Wanderer murmured as she sat down next to the door.

The "soon" became "next day", as the Wanderer felt the last time they parted ways left sour to her taste.

"Hrrgghhh…" The Wanderer grumbled for the millionth times. Her head resting on her knees as it positioned close to her chest.

"No one understands this feeling."

"Grr…!" The Wanderer picks the closest pebble and throws it at the bubble that whispered and popped up.

"*Sigh* Once upon a time I felt this place was like my safe haven. Now I feel this place loves to play with my emotions." The Wanderer said bitterly.

Psyching herself up, the Wanderer decided that she needed to go back in anyway, and went to the library.

And the sight that greeted her was the librarian looking annoyed beyond her everything. She doesn't know if it's because of what she reads or what the girl is thinking.

The moment the girl sets her eyes to the Wanderer, Es speaks irritatingly, "Ugh… Not again."

"I… took offense to that…" The upset Wanderer said, her head slightly down.

Es' eyes soften after that, before intensifying it again, "Not you, that bastard's voice is grating even louder…"

"O-Oh." The Wanderer doesn't know whether she should be relieved or worried because of that.

"They just repeat themselves over and over at me." The librarian grumbled, "Saying I'm mistaken. Saying I've failed."

She whined before mumbling, "Why won't things go the way I want?"

Seeing an opening, the Wanderer mustered her courage and spoke up, "Because not everything can go your way Es."

"But…" Es averts her eyes before continuing, "If they're just a dream of mine…"

The Wanderer is about to speak when Es suddenly stomps her feet, making the Wanderer jump in shock in its process.

"I'm not mistaken! I'm not a failure!" Es yelled, so out of character. "I'm… I…"

The Wanderer can say that Es is shaking, maybe not that subtle. But if the way her hand turned to shaking fist, she can say otherwise.

"I can go on existing. I can be allowed to exist, can't I? I'm not unwanted." She paused before her eyes screamed resolve. "So… I'm going to fight. For my freedom. If I'm to be trapped here and killed, I'd rather die fighting."

"Alright, fighting? I get it. But can't we not reach it to that point?" The Wanderer amazingly, steadily says this, for her mind was long running miles right now.

"I want to go on as myself. I won't lie." Es said, "But that bastard is in my way." She eyed the Wanderer before saying the most unsettling thing to her. "Either I will die, or they will."

The Wanderer audibly gulped, and she couldn't help but cringed at it too.

"There's no way for us both to go on like this. I'll do it right now. I'll… have their…"

"Whoa whoa whoa. Take it easy Es. Can we avoid the fight for the day?"

"Say… You're my ally, aren't you?"

Conflict, that's the word that rang through her mind. It's like there's an upcoming battle about to commence. There is an upcoming, unavoidable battle about to commence, and the Wanderer felt unfortunately in the middle of it.

She is weighing her options now, this is a serious matter, and something... somehow… she sees this coming…

"I think… we're on opposite sides." Slowly said the Wanderer, there's a trace of sadness in her voice, and if you heard close enough, there's also a part of her speech that wavered. "I don't know who's right now, or who's wrong… but right now… I think all of our talk back then has gone up in the air."

"Have you forgotten the walls have ears?"

"I haven't. And now I'm disappointed with myself because of how I sounded that I'm siding with them." The Wanderer said with a strained smile. "Am I in the list of your enemies now?"

"That isn't funny."

"Any of this isn't funny." The Wanderer countered, gesturing to her surroundings as if that answer is enough, "It isn't the moment you seem to be lost in your own world."

And the two opposite sides stare at each other, before Es smirks.

"Hmm… Talking to you smothers Facade's voice. You're perfect. You are the ideal I've dreamed up."

"So, you're just ignoring everything I just said. Cool." The Wanderer said in an annoyed sarcastic manner.

"You must love me very much."

Haven't you registered anything of what I just said!? The Wanderer screamed this in her mind.

"That's why you take my words so kindly."

And suddenly, those words echo in her mind. What has the structure been told to her before.

"You must restrain Es."

The Wanderer steadies her breath.

"That's why you support me and adore me."

"You must restrain Es."

Her left hand turned to fist.

"You must be my…"

"You-"

She grits her teeth.

"my…"

"-must-"

She can hear her heartbeat getting faster.

"my…"

"-restrain-"

Her hand turned white.

"...my hope."

"-Es."

And everything just abruptly stopped, as if she just got out from some weird spell.

"If I'm dreaming all this, I'd be fine with only you. Gather more EGO and then come visit me again."

The Wanderer, wordlessly, curtly nods, before leaving the library world.

Around the darkened hall are the bubbles that whisper everything she learns to this moment.

But a different bubble suddenly appeared that caught her eyes.

And the Wanderer doesn't like this particular new bubble.
