Selene POV- Selene walked outside casually but once the door was shut she ran over to the trash can and threw up both her burgers and fries. She wasn't sure how long she'd have been able to hold it if that text message hadn't come in.
She didn't want to worry Stiles until she knew what there was to worry about. So while she had texted Argent she wanted to talk she'd texted Scott first and he was going to meet her at the clinic.
"What's wrong?" Scott asked unlocking the back door.
"No idea I don't get sick or anything like that yet I just threw up my entire dinner and probably every other meal I had too" Selene said feeling like she might do it again.
"Okay full blood tests first, see if that comes up with anything" Scott replied quickly gathering all he would need to do it.
"How long will it take?" Selene asked.
"With the tests I'm going to want to run it should take about an hour tops" Scott answered getting the first test tube ready and tied off her arm looking for a vein.
"Would it be okay if while you're testing I go talk with Argent? Wolves are starting to go missing and I wanna know if he's heard anything" Selene explained.
"Yeah sure. Is there anything I can do to help?"
"Not sure yet. Just warn Liam to watch the pack. I don't WANT to believe that anything could happen to the pack here, thanks to the peace of the town, but a wolf just went missing three counties over so better safe than sorry."
"The high school starts Spring Break tomorrow and I don't think there are any games that he'll need to coach so he'll be free to be on high alert" Scott informed as he began drawing blood.
"How's his new Beta working out?" Selene asked about Nolan.
About a year ago a Rogue Hunter came into town looking to kill an Alpha and he found Liam. Nolan, who used to be one of Monroe's Hunter's turned ally for the pack, had been walking past Liam. Nolan saw the Hunter before Liam had and he took the hit for him. Liam's second, Theo, had been close by and killed the Rogue Hunter and to save Nolan's life Liam bit him. Last she'd heard Nolan was still adjusting to his new status update.
"He's great now. Very pack orientated" Scott said finishing up taking seven vials of blood.
"Glad to hear it. Are Mason and Theo around or do they still have college?"
"Mason's finished and opened his own small store with organic products and all natural clothing. Theo's actually a deputy now" Scott answered.
"No way. Wow I never saw that coming. And how's Malia?" Selene laughed as Scott looked bursting to tell her.
"Amazing. She just rescued a lost little girl in the mountain range last week. Only took two hours to reach her. Made her employee of the month" Scott proudly announced.
"I'm so happy for you two."
Selene left once Scott started the tests and she headed for his old home. She knocked on the door and Scott's mom Melissa let her in. Argent was waiting in the kitchen the table loaded with guns and one crossbow.
"This doesn't look like good news" Selene commented.
"Just cleaning them. Always good to be ready" Argent said smiling.
"At least five werewolves have gone missing this month. The most recent was two days ago three counties over. Have you heard anything about Rogue Hunters or…anything…hunting wolves recently?" Selene asked hoping for good news.
"Nothing about Rogue Hunters since that one last year. But I can ask around. Last I checked there weren't any Hunters that close to Beacon Hills. As for monsters that hunt werewolves there are a few but this quick of an increase in wolves taken makes it highly unlikely it's a monster" Argent replied disappointing her.
"Something's going on I can feel it. I can FEEL the taken wolves but I can't track them or tell how they're feeling I just FEEL their alive" Selene said frustrated.
"You think that maybe it could be normal people like non-Hunters that may be kidnapping werewolves for some reason?" Melissa asked.
"But why? What would the reason behind it be? The ones taken aren't Alphas" Selene replied.
"I don't know just trying to go out of the box in case it's not Rogue Hunters."
"Hey every possible idea could help. Only motive I can come up with is they're werewolves. Maybe hate crimes?" Selene smiled at Melissa she was always wicked smart. The room went silent with questions no one had answers too.
"Hey have you seen the picture of Isaac and his new girlfriend?" Melissa asked trying to ease the doom and gloom feel in the room and it worked.
"You mean the gorgeous girl he met in Asia with orange dyed stripes in her hair because she's a badass tiger shifter?" Selene said quoting Isaac almost word for word.
"Yeah that one" Melissa laughed.
"I can't wait to meet her" Selene smiled happy for Isaac.
"You and us too. We get so many calls, texts, pictures but no visits for over two months" now Melissa sounded hurt.
"I'll talk to him I'm sure time has just gotten away from him. It seems to be happening to all of us lately" Selene said.
"How is the team doing?" Argent asked.
"Perfectly. 100 over 100, all missions are a success" Selene said proudly.
"I did doubt you'd be able to do it. Not doubting you or Stiles or Rayne but most other Supernaturals don't do good in groups. I'm glad to be wrong. You got a team of good people" Argent smiled shaking Selene's hand.
"Thanks and it's okay I doubted us at first too. Now they're family. They got my back and vice versa."
"Do you ever go on any cases involving human monsters?" Melissa asked.
"Yeah a few of the more dangerous ones. Why send a human after a serial killer when you can send a super strong immortal wolf. You guys hear about that guy who was killing college girls in Chicago? That was my take down. Guy picked the wrong girl to go after. He screamed like a chick when he saw my eyes flash red" Selene grinned remembering the case.
"Good on you" Melissa smiled.
Suddenly Selene felt the urge to vomit again and ran from the room to where she knew the bathroom was. Melissa called after her and Selene heard Argent grab and load a gun thinking something was wrong. However he tucked the gun away when he caught up to her and saw Selene vomiting into the toilet. Melissa slipped into the room and held Selene's hair back for her. Once finished Selene rinsed out her mouth and they all headed back to the kitchen.
"I'm so sorry. On my last mission a bayou creature scratched me and left behind some slime. Scott thought he got it all guess not" Selene said.
She showed them the claw marks on her arm that were still healing. Argent spent a few minutes looking and examining the wounds even gently prodding the wound after asking her if that would be okay. He then went to grab his family's bestiary to help narrow down the creature. Thankfully there were only four he could think of.
"If Scott's blood tests bring up nothing we can test a few of these cures they say may work" Argent explained.
"Thanks. At least now I have a few names to give the creature" Selene replied.
Her phone beeped with a new text from Scott. It said he needed to see her ASAP. Worried Selene said a quick goodbye to Melissa and Argent and rushed over to the vet clinic. Scott held her test results in his hands and he was pacing.
"What's wrong with me?" Selene asked.
"Nothing…" Scott hesitated.
"Scott what is it tell me" Selene said.
"Okay well you don't have any sign of inflammation or infection. Your white and red blood cell count is normal" Scott said stalling.
"Scott! If it says I'm perfectly fine what is going on with me then?" Selene growled.
Scott chickened out and just handed her the test results. Selene began looking through the results not understanding anything she was reading. Until she got to the last page, the last test result.
"Is this accurate?" Selene asked Scott.
"It is" Scott answered.
"I'm pregnant?!" Selene freaked.
"How? We're always caref…oh…" Selene said softly sitting down as the memories flooded back to her.
"I'm guessing you're remembering a time you two weren't so careful" Scott said.
"Twice actually. Both times the mating frenzy was firing in our blood" Selene said softly.
"And this is the outcome of that frenzy" Scott replied.
"Do you know how far along?" Selene asked.
"If you were a human I'd say three possibly four months barely. It's hard to be exact sorry. As a wolf you're no more than a month and a half at most. If we go by how fast Rayne's pregnancy went you should be due in another three and a half months" Scott replied.
"Don't tell anyone" Selene asked.
"Of course not."
Selene walked back to her place knowing that's where Stiles would be. Slowly she ran her hand over her stomach. Hard to image there was a little being in there growing. She couldn't help the smile that spread across her face she was over joyed if a little nervous. Stiles greeted her at the door with a smile and a kiss.
"Everything go okay with Argent?" Stiles asked.
"Uh yeah he hasn't heard anything about Rogue Hunters but he'll ask around" Selene answered her mind elsewhere.
"What's wrong I can feel you're anxious" Stiles asked.
"After I left you and your dad I went to see Scott at the vet clinic" Selene confessed.
"Are you okay?" Stiles asked clearly worried now.
"Yeah I'm fine I just didn't know it at the time so I had him run a bunch of blood tests for me."
"And what did he find if you're fine?"
"Stiles I…" Selene was unsure how to tell him.
"Hey, what is it love?" Stiles asked taking her hand.
"Stiles… I'm pregnant" Selene simply said.
Stiles just stared at her not saying anything. Selene waited for him to say something anything. Stiles didn't blink or breath he just fell backward, eyes rolled back and passed out.
"Stiles!" Selene rushed down to check on him.
"We're… we're gonna have a baby?" Stiles asked slowly coming to.
"Yeah we are" Selene replied smiling.
"I'm gonna be a dad?" Stiles was clearly still dazed.
"Yeah you are" Selene laughed softly.
"I love you" Stiles said pulling her down for a kiss.
"I love you too" Selene replied pulling back smiling.
"We… we have to call my dad" Stiles said jumping up in excitement.
"Stiles! It's late he's probably asleep" Selene chuckled.
"Right, sleeping. Oh my goddess I can't believe we're gonna have a baby!" Stiles cheered dropping down onto his knees resting his cheek against her stomach.
