O'Brien Lounge
Conner didn't like Paige.
Every moment spent around her was hell- especially if Walter was with her. He was as friendly as he could be around her, but he couldn't help feeling jealous of Walter's soon-to-be Fiancee, though logically he knew that even if Paige wasn't a part of Walter's life he still wouldn't have a chance with the handsome Genius, he couldn't help resenting her for her place in Walter's life. This didn't mean however he wanted any harm to come to Paige or her Son.
Conner insisted on telling Paige and Walter about the voicemails and (more recently) the texts Ralph had been receiving. Even though he knew that with the confession there would be a chance of Walter leaving.
Walter and Paige were both shocked to hear that it'd been going on a while and moreso that Happy, Toby and Cabe already knew. They were both torn between being angry and relieved they hadn't been told as they both knew their relationship wouldn't have progressed as much as it had if they were worrying about what Tim was planning. They agreed however that now they knew for sure that Tim was on his way that now was the right time to be aware.
Tim had somewhat accidentally revealed that he'd be coming by boat which allowed Walter the ability to track him down fairly quickly now that he knew that Tim was a threat. Seeing as he was travelling from America with stops in between it would still take a while for him to get to Ireland. It wasn't hard for Paige to arrange for Walter's magazine shoot to be brought forward. They would leave in the next couple of days with Ralph and still be gone before Tim would arrive. Cabe would travel with them and ensure they'd have extra security just in case and that the O'Brien Farm was also well protected. The second Tim was seen by authorities he'd be arrested and then deported back to America. All in all it was a fairly straightforward plan. If all went well Tim wouldn't even make it out of Cork.
Walter was suprised how well his parents were taking in everything- he had no idea his Father already knew Tim had been attempting to contact Ralph. The thought of Tim getting anywhere near his family made Walter's blood run cold but his Mother took it all in her stride and asked for Walter to pick her up a souvenir while he was away as if he were just going on holiday and his Father put the kettle on. He chuckled a little at his dad's reaction, his parents seemed to believe that any situation could be made better with a nice hot cuppa tea.
Dinning room
"I'm going to miss this" Walter complained as Ralph nodded in agreement. Louise smiled fondly as the duo loaded their plates high with roast dinner. They had been animatedly discussing the use of gene editing with progeria up until Louise and Paige had laid the food out.
Paige chuckled at the hungry pair "It's probably only going to be a couple of weeks" she said smiling. Ralph let out an audible gasp "Do you think we can take Grandma with us?" He asked seriously to the amusement of the others.
"I'm personally looking forward to trying the Goi Ca Trich" Walter said inbetween bites. Ralph stuck his tongue out in disgust "eww fish yuck!" He replied before the others could ask what it was.
It was one thing the two Geniuses disagreed on. Walter loved everything about fish but Ralph absolutely despised it. The most the young boy could handle was a prawn cocktail. The one time Louise had cooked kippers for breakfast Ralph had been sick from the smell alone. He was however looking forward to trying some Kem Chuối - everyone knew of Ralph's fondness for ice cream.
Paige kept her thoughts about the food to herself. She considered this a perfect time for her to go on a diet. Louise was a bit of a feeder and she'd gained a fair amount of weight recently. She was rather miffed that Walter had not put on half as much as her dispite eating a lot more. She unconsciously rubbed her belly as she watched the two Geniuses fall into a conversation about the potential of food systemsbeing responsible for a third of the global anthropogenicGHG emissions. Paige was amused at how the two could so easily fall into such conversations.
Paige's belly rubbing however did not go unnoticed by Louise, who moved her eyes back and forth to try signal Sean. He rolled his eyes in response and silently mouthed 'Don't jump to conclusions'. This drew the attention of Cabe who then turned his head towards Paige and widened his eyes in shock and Connor who promptly dropped his cutlery on his plate and excused himself to the bathroom.
Paige, Walter and Ralph were blissfully unaware of the deductions being made around them.
Kitchen
When the meal was over and Louise requested Paige's help with the washing up Paige had no reason to suspect anything was amiss. She smiled and began drying up the dishes that Louise had washed humming away happily a song she'd heard on the radio earlier. She was positive that, dispite the recent revelation reguarding Tim, that everything else was OK in her world.
That was until Louise spoke... and the dish that had been in Paige's hand slipped from her grasp smashing on the ground, Shattering into a million pieces.
