It took 20 minutes for Paige to speak. Walter had been holding her close , waiting for her to make the first move. "Your mum thought I might be pregnant" she said, much to Walter's shock. He didn't know what response would be appropriate for the situation and ended up settling on a suprised "Oh?" Paige chuckled a little at the Genius' response. "I'm not" she replied quickly. "Your mum brought me some tests".

Walter nodded unsure how to feel "Are you OK? How are you?" He asked concerned. "I was kinda stressed" Paige admitted "What with how early we are in our relationship and the Tim situation and I'd like to lose some weight before we get Married and i know it wasn't what we'd planned but..." She drifted on seemingly stalling. "But?" Walter encouraged. "But honestly? I was secretly upset when the tests came back negative" Paige admitted avoiding Walter's concerned gaze.

Walter threaded his fingers through Paiges and kissed the top of her hands. He then rubbed his nose against hers affectionately. "Then maybe...we should start trying?" He said shyly. "Seriously?" Paige whispered smiling. Walter nodded in response "The second Tim is no longer an issue" he replied seriously.

Paige threw her arms around him in happiness. Overjoyed that Walter would be willing to expand their little family.

The Lounge

Walter was nervous. He'd told his Mother in private of his and Paige's plan to try for a baby when it was safe to do so. She'd advised him to use the trip to Vietnam as a opportunity to propose to Paige and given Walter her engagement ring she'd gotten from his Father, another Family heirloom passed down for 100s of years that now felt as though it was burning a hole in his pocket. He prayed he'd feel less nervous when he'd hidden it away in his luggage.

Walter's palms felt sweaty and he struggled to breathe as he thought of all the things that could go wrong. If he thought presenting Paige with a promise ring was scary- this was outright terrifying. Poor Walter couldnt help but think of the worst case scenarios where she turned him down.

The Kitchen

Though upset they wouldn't be waiting until they were Married before expanding their Family Louise had already prepared herself for the possibility of a second (counting Ralph) Grandchild before they'd tied the knot when she suspected Paige of being pregnant the night before. She found herself suprisingly disappointed when Paige revealed they'd been negative and had comforted Paige until the younger Woman had left to speak to Walter.

Paige had admitted seeing Walter interact with Ralph as if they were Father and Son had her biological clock ticking very early in their friendship. Seeing Walter interact with the boy she could see why. Walter was a natural- having taken to Fatherhood like a duck to water. It was hard to believe that the little lad wasn't biologically his.

Louise was glad that she now had a opportunity to get to know the man her Son had become and his little family. She wished the best for them, although she couldn't help but wish that Walter and Paige had gotten together a more conventional way.

Louise then felt saddened thinking of all the times she'd failed to connect with her Son when he was younger. He'd even been the first one to offer the olive branch in Los Angeles, when Megan -god rest her soul- had passed, dispite his poor EQ. She was happy that her poor parenting hadn't stifled his ability to care for little Ralph but couldn't help feeling like she'd given in too easily to her children.

When Megan turned 16 Walter had requested Legal Emancipation from Sean and Louise, having Megan take legal responsibility for him, dispite Agent Gallo offering to adopt him if Walter was that determined to cut himself off from his Parents. Megan and Walter had always had a special bond since the moment Walter was born.

Louise and Sean had agreed not to fight against it when Megan revealed they'd be moving to Dublin (then later London and Manchester) where there would be more opportunities for Walter to improve his education, only to find out that Gallo had written them letters of recommendation to assist them in obtaining their VISAs to move to America a few years later when the time was right.

Louise knew it was the right call in the end, Walter wouldn't have gotten as far in life or met Paige if they hadn't of left and dispite her passing Megan's care needs were much better met in America then they would've been in Ireland, but she'd lost so many years of her children's lives that it was impossible for her not to feel saddened and regretful.

Louise thought back to the day Walter was born. She'd been checking up on the Cows with Megan when her Water broke. It was on her due date exsactly, yet she still hadn't exspected to give birth yet what with Megan being so late and also unlike Megan (who had taken almost a day to enter the world) she was suprised with how quickly he came into the world. 'efficient even when he was being born' she chuckled to herself.

Megan had ended up having to assist in delivering him and was the first person to see his face. He'd imprinted on her like a little duckling and the two were inseparable from that moment on. Slyvester had told her when Walter finally processed and broke down mourning Megan after the Rocket launch in her memory Walter had told Slyvester that he felt like a part of him was missing, like he was no longer whole without her in his life. Louise hoped that with Paige by his side he'd feel be able to feel whole again.

She knew she'd be praying for her Son's proposal to go well when he was in Vietnam and that their family would soon welcome a little bundle of joy. She knew Megan was proudly watching over Walter from the heavens happy that he'd finally found the love he deserved.
