Tân Sơn Nhất International Airport

Ralph squinted trying to adjust his eyes to the bright sunlight outside the Airport. He'd fallen asleep at one point on the plane and was still a little foggy. He jumped a little as he felt something touch him, realising quickly that it was just Walter grasping his hand to keep them together.

Ralph smiled at him excited knowing what was to come. They were going to visit some beautiful places, he was sure Walter would have done his research and picked the most romantic place to officially ask his mum to Marry him. When Walter explained his plan to him Ralph had been reminded of Megan's words to Walter 'Don't be afraid to love' Ralph hoped Walter wouldn't bottle it.

Aqua Mekong

"So we'll stay here on the Aqua Mekong while you stand on the front of one of it's skiffs- the Aqua IV- holding its rope. You just have to ignore the camera and look out to sea" Paige said kissing Walter gently.

Walter looked down at his clothes. "This isn't so bad" he conceded. Though he'd not pick the red sweater, white trouser combo himself he had to admit he felt comfortable. Especially wearing the sneakers. Feeling more positive about the situation he climbed onto the skiff and gave Paige a smile. He wouldn't be long.

Getting back he let out a huff of frustration when he was asked to change his sweater for a white shirt and blue sweater before getting back on the skiff.

Walter's stylist Maia was somewhat annoyed at first that he kept on rolling up his sleeves whatever she put on him but the brunette woman ended up begrudgingly agreeing he looked better that way. Passing Walter a spare camera the photographer (Cliff) chuckled at the frustrated stylist. He was suprised how quickly he was getting through the shots- he'd been informed that O'Brien would be difficult.

Chau Doc

Paige smiled as Maia's assistant Connie fussed over Walter's 3rd outfit. Maia was a little thrown when Walter asked to keep the sneakers on for the next shoot but was happy to rearrange his outfit to suit accordingly, much to Paiges relief. She thought there'd be a argument there.

They sat in a rickshaw ride to travel to their next location, Walter had been given a guitar to pose with at the next shoot. Suprising everyone he put the strap over his shoulder and started singing to Paige while strumming the guitar, His eyes and smile shining bright. He barely noticed the camera going off as he sang to Paige. But he noticed how his words affected her. He didn't manage to get to the end of the song before she dived towards him kissing him softly.

Long Sơn

"So the next shoot is the Long Song temple" Paige announced happily as the hair and grooming team Kinda and Kylee surrounded Walter. He was feeling a little overwhelmed by the team messing about with his face and hair. He didn't like people he didn't know touching him at the best of times. Ralph gave him a sympathetic look but was happy to stay out of Maia and the other's attention.

When they arrived Paige noted Walter's look of awe. He hated Art almost as much as he hated Glee clubs (though she never understood his issue with either) but something about this place seemed to appeal to him. She chuckled as Walter and Ralph appeared to have a mental conversation- confirmed when Ralph replied "no. not here" to whatever question Walter obviously had. She wondered if he was going to propose.

As beautiful as the place was (and it was absolutely gorgeous) she agreed with Ralph if that was the case- it wouldn't be quite appropriate at a Buddist temple.

Walking in Paige was shocked at how gorgeous the place was. She was also suprised at how well Walter had been behaving since they'd arrived. Normally one for ignoring local customs and doing his own thing Walter removed his shoes and socks before entering the temple. Sitting down and crossing his legs he appeared at peace with himself.

Smiling and looking around the room while Cliff took his photo Walter thought back to the his one experience meditating in the past the day he fell from Richard Elia's rocket. He had a feeling that if he was in a place like this when he'd attempted to mediate he wouldn't have had so much trouble relaxing.

Considering it a experiment Walter tested his theory. It'd do him well to relax considering his plan later. He'd have already proposed by now if Ralph hadn't have disagreed. Thinking about it a Buddist temple probably wouldn't be the best place for an Irish Catholic to propose to his partner. Letting his mind drift off he was suprised when Paige spoke to him a hour or so later. "Come on Dalai geeka" she chuckled. "Time to go". They took one more photo of him leaving the temple redoing the buttons on his shirt before they caught a ride back to the Aqua Mekong.

Aqua Mekong, Luxury Suite

Returning to the Luxury cruise ship was a relief to Walter to begin with. The air conditioning was a relief to Walter and the comfort of the furniture was a relief to his back. Leaning against the blue cushions on the chair in his bedroom suite he closed his eyes as he allowed the groomers and stylists full reign of his looks. He wasn't going to complain this time- he found himself wanting to look good for Paige.

This time they had the writer of the article Hudson Morgan with them. He tried to answer as best as he could. Making sure to remember to include the team in his answers wherever possible. He didn't want a repeat of the disastrous news report on Scorpion from before they rescued Zoe. He was relieved when he finally got through it, using Paige's tips to avoid sounding rude and condescending and making little (but awkwad) attempts at humor. He found it exhausting!

Aqua Mekong, Top Deck

He tried to relax but Walter's heart seemed to be thumping out of his chest. Cliff had him leaning against the bar with his leg crossed in front of him with his right arm up on the bar and his left hand in his pocket. He felt vaguely uncomfortable with the pose and had to ask Cliff to repeat himself when he spoke to him from behind the camera "Give me sexy" he asked. Walter was confused. He had no idea how to look sexy. Luckily Paige stepped in "Imagine the camera is made of chocolate cake" she said. Walter's expression changed immediately "There we go. All done." Stated Cliff before speaking to Paige "I'm suprised you didn't ask him to imagine you instead" he said with a smile. "No" Paige replied "I only want that look to be aimed at me." She confessed "Besides. You have to admit that look was sexy." She smirked. Cliff nodded in agreement "Not a look I'd ever imagine to be aimed at cake that's for sure he laughed.

Walter frowned, somewhat embarrassed. He had no idea he'd been giving inappropriate looks to desserts. Though he now suspected that was the reason Toby never let Happy sit across from him at the Cheesecake Factory.

As Cliff went to walk out the door Walter grabbed hold of his arm lightly. "I wonder if you could do one more photo for me?" He whispered. Curious about what Walter wanted captured Cliff agreed following Walter who motioned for Paige and Ralph to follow him.

Observation Deck

The view was gorgeous. 'Well for nearly ten thousand dollars a trip he supposed it should be' Walter thought to himself. He practiced his breathing exercises Linda had taught him to calm down- then got more worried about using a technique that his ex taught him. Was that inappropriate? He went to ask Paige, then worried that was even more inappropriate.

He began to sweat, Nervous about what he was about to do. Logically he knew he has no reason to panic- she'd been very clear before now that she'd say yes, but it didn't stop him worrying. Grasping Paige's hands lightly and bringing her in front of him Walter took a deep breath and got down on one knee...then promptly passed out.

I've had the first paragraph written for ages, but this chapter was honestly the hardest to write so far. Mostly because I've been ill so I wanted to be able to concentrate on it more as I wanted it to be perfect. I was going to go a different way with it but it kind of took off in its own direction. I Love it anyway.
