Crispin stood for a moment, looking at where the winged god had stood moments ago. "Wonder what that was about?" He thought aloud about Mercury's parting comment. Realizing he didn't have time to dwell on it at the moment, he looked at the house in front of him. "Well time to meet my sister I suppose." Crispin said to himself as he walked up the driveway. The closer he got to the front door the more nervous he became. What was he supposed to say? "Hi you don't know me but I'm Crispin. You're demi-god half-brother." If that didn't shock her then
the "The Messenger god Mercury Flew me here from Italy so that we can save the world certainly would. I mean did she even know about the gods and the Titans? Did she know that she was a demi-god or that Prometheus was her dad? He wished Mercury had stayed to help introduce him and explain things. Before he knew it he'd reached the front door. Pausing to gather his courage, then quickly before he could change his mind he reached up to ring the doorbell. Before he could press the button though the door suddenly swung open.
A girl of around 11 or 12 stood in the doorway. Crispin knew instantly that this was her. She had the same fire in her eyes and flames in her hair that he had, literally. "Hello." Crispin said. "My time." She said as she pulled him inside.
Crispin stood staring for a moment at the girl. His sister whom he'd only just laid eyes on. How did she know him? "A dream." The girl replied. "I had a dream that you would be coming." Still a bit dazed with all that had happened Crispin just stood there before regaining his composer. "I'm Crispin." He told her. "You must be my sister, Blaze." Blaze blinked once...twice. "Cool, a brother. I always wanted a brother." She finally replied.
"Come on, let's go in here so we can talk." Crispin followed as she led then into a small but cozy sitting room. Taking a look around he saw a small couch and love seat. A desk and computer sat in one corner, while the other held a pretty impressive bookcase, filled to the brim with books. "It's kind of small, huh." Blaze spoke interrupting his thoughts. "No, not at all. It's nice. I like it." He responded. Blaze smiled as she sat down on the couch, motioning for Crispin to sit next to her. "So tell me more about what's going on." said Blaze. "First tell me what you know." Blaze told him. Crispin said. "Not much to be honest." Blaze told him. "I had a dream a couple nights ago about you. Someone, I assume a god told me you'd be arriving soon. He showed me an image of you. Then he said he had to hurry and vanished. I woke up after that. Crispin thought for a moment then asked. "What did the god look like?" He asked her. "kind young. Not like kid young but you know young looking for a god. Maybe early to mid-twenties. Dark hair, kind of messy." She replied. Crispin nodded "Shoes and hat with wings?" he asked. Blaze thought for a moment. "Come to think of it, yeah." She told him. Crispin smiled. "That would be Mercury. You probably know him as Hermes." He told her. "He's the one who brought me here."
"Wait Hermes, eh Mercury, whichever actually brought you here? As in flew you here from...Wait where you from are?" Blaze asked. "Italy." he told her. "and yes we flew. like literally flew. It was quite a trip." "I'll bet." said Blaze looking impressed. "So what else has been happening? I mean I know it's something big but, Hermes kind a zapped out before I could get any details." Crispin laughed. "Yeah Mercury sometimes forgets that the rest of the world doesn't move at the speed he dose. Heck the other gods have trouble keeping up. So don't feel bad if he leaves you feeling a bit lost." Blaze's eyes widened, "Wait you're met other gods?" She asked. Crispin nodded his head. A few of them. Our dad Prometheus of course. Mercury obviously. Apollo once when I was younger. He spoke to our dad. Something about Ireland and a baby I think."
"Anyways I was at home this morning with my mom. We'd been eating breakfast and talking about dad and how he was supposed to visit in a few days. At one point I'd asked her to pass me Something and she didn't respond. When I looked up she wasn't these. I figured she'd gone into the kitchen so I went in there, but she wasn't there. Mom's a sculptor so I thought maybe she'd be out there working. She wasn't there either, but Mercury was. He said humans everywhere had been disappearing." Blaze looked confused. "So then how are we here? Aren't we humans?" She asked. Nodding his head Crispin replied, "Well yeah in the strictest sense, but we're demi-god or higher." Blaze patted her brother's arm comfortingly. "I'm sorry about your mom." She told him. "I promise we'll get her back." Crispin nodded. "We'll get them all back." He said.
"Before we left Mercury gave me something. He said it was copy of a prophecy. Well the first half of it anyways." Crispin told her. "Why only the first half?" Blaze asked. "He said the other half had been destroyed. Burnt up apparently. Good news is that this person is now missing." Replied Crispin "So a human then a non-demi-god." said Blaze. "Yeah I guess so." Crispin responded. "Well then I'd say our first step would be to read over the first half of the prophecy." said Blaze. Crispin opened his duffle bag and pulled out a small scroll or paper. Unrolling it he carefully read over. "Okay" he said, "We may be wrong about it being a non-demi-god." "What dose it say?" Blaze asked. Looking at the scroll again he read it aloud.
"Mortal souls vanish near and far Along with the child of the brightest star siblings with minds so wise search for the legacy of the vine. Descendant of the wine gather the memories and restore the mind"
"Child of the brightest star." Blaze repeated. "the brightest star is the sun." "So a child of Apollo then?" asked Crispin. "Maybe, not sure though. Doesn't Apollo just drive the sun chariot? I mean he's not the actual sun god is he" asked Blaze. Crispin shook his head. "No that would be one of the earlier titans, like our dad." Crispin told her. " I just can't recall their name. "Helios." a voice behind then replied.
Startled Crispin turned quickly to see who it was. A Women perhaps in her 30's stood there. "Hello Crispin, it's good to see you again." She told him. Crispin looked a bit confused. She smiled at him. "you probably don't remember me. You were pretty young last time we met. Around four I believe. You're dad brought me to see you. I was pregnant with..." "Blaze." Crispin remembered. "I remember you a little." Blaze's mom smiled. "Yes, I was pregnant with Blaze and a bit worried what a child of a titan would be like, so Prometheus brought me to meet to you." She told him. Crispin thought for a moment. "A park. We had a picnic in the park." He said after a moment. She nodded and smiled. "Yes that's right." She told him. "I'm Marie Gordon. How as to who the sun god is, that would be Helios. Titan of the sun. He tends to lie low these days but yeah, I'd heard he'd had a child not to long before I had Blaze." Crispin thought for a moment then asked. "You must be a demi-god then." Marie nodded. "Yes daughter of Athena mom was quite piqued when she found out Prometheus was Blaze's dad, she gave him and earful and asked why he kept doing this to her. Still not sure what that was about." At this Crispin laughed. "What's so funny?" Blaze asked. Laughing Crispin replied. "Apparently dad has a thing for children or in some cases grandchildren of the wisdom goddess. My mom i the grandchildren of of Minerva. Roman version of Athena. "They all began laughing at this.
Suddenly the light began to flicker and there was jolt; like a shot of electricity. "I wouldn't call it a 'thing' for children of Athena. I just happen to admire intelligent people. I can't help it if they happen to be related to the Wisdom goddess." Spoke the man how standing in front of them
"Dad" Blaze yelled.
