Alec didn't know what to think as he was sure Biggs had shot the bastard. He went looking for Biggs to show him.
"Biggs," said Alec, walking away from Biggs knowing he would follow him into another room.
"What's up man?" said Biggs.
"You shot him right?" asked Alec, knowing Biggs would know who he was talking about.
"I shot him in the head. Why?" asked Biggs, wondering why he was asking him.
Alec turned his phone around and showed Biggs that it wasn't the real Logan that was shot.
"Wh..who?" asked Biggs, wondering who the guy was that was shot because he was sure it was Logan.
"His name is Kelpy." said Alec, "He a shapeshifter. He can fake anyone's identity and become them for days. He must have been paid to act like Logan for some reason."
"So the real Logan still out there?" Biggs, angry that the ordinary had played them.
Another message came through, this time a picture of Rit, strung upside down, looking like he had been beaten, they couldn't tell if he was still alive or not.
They knew rit was dead. Another fell at the ordinary hand. They swore to make them all pay for the deaths of their manticorian family.
Max came up short when she saw Alec, she had to give manticore credit they made him sexy not that she would ever tell him that. She stood and watched him for a few minutes hearing the conversation that was going on between him and Biggs.
"I know im sexy but do you have to stare at me?" came Alec smartass comment as he spotted her out the corner of his eye.
Max took a few steps towards him, glad to see him alive. She had been worried the 2 weeks that they had no contact and it worried her to no end. Not that she was willing to admit it to anyone.
Alec stepped closer to her knowing that something was going on with her and he felt the need to reassure her that he was here and good. He stared into here eyes, and something inside her clicked. She felt safe and she knew he was on the same wavelength has her.
"Have you seen our house?" asked Biggs, knowing these two really needed to find time to figure out their relationship?" "We each have our room unless of course some of us would like to share."
"Max narrowed her eyes at him for interrupting their staredown but knew she needed to get her mind straight before she dared answer what her heart wanted.
They all went to look at the house and wasn't surprised to find Joshua cooking mac and hotdogs. Along with OC and Sketchy. Sketchy kept giving Alec looks that could kill and Alec wondered what was up with the guy. He shook his head and finish showing Max and OC the house. Alec and Max's bedrooms were side by side. Oc was beside Max and Sketchy's beside Biggs who wasn't very happy since OC said that sketchy snored like a chainsaw.
The day ended quite fast tho, Alec's mind wasn't clear that night. He wondered if Logan was going to try his antics again and this time he would personally make sure the son of a bitch was dead. He and Biggs stayed on alert, and Alec watched Sketchy closely because he was acting unlike himself. Giving him and Max nasty looks when he didn't think either of them saw it. Max was obvious about it because she had been through so much.
Something wasn't right, he was off. He'd been acting weird all day. He decided to keep eye on him and see if it was because he wasn't used to their new home or if he was up to something.
Next day Max felt a lot better and went looking around their new home knowing Alec and Biggs picked this place for a reason. She soon found herself in command and in front of Mole. "Well if it isn't the other half of princess." said Mole, wondering when she was going to wise up that she and Alec are mates," said Mole, chewing on the end of his cigar.
Completely oblivious to what he had just said, she looked at the screens everywhere and said "Is this the surveillance cameras around the whole place?"
"Dix answered before anyone else could. "Yes, we are untraceable thanks to the ordinary's files. and we have over 1000 cameras everywhere. Not in the homes though as that is for everyone to get if they want."
Some reason that reassured Max that security was better than TC. She knew trouble was always outside their doors but she wanted to keep it outside there was new generation transgenics and she wanted their life to be different than theirs.
