Monday: 10:20 am, Warner Studio Janitorial Offices
As you slowly but surely attempted to un-concuss yourself, Mr.H casually strolled up to the door of the shed, knocked on it three times, and stepped back, all in a very robotic manner. For a good minute, nothing happened, the shed sat still, and you slowly felt a growing sense of confusion clouding your still rattling brain. Then, all of sudden, a varietal symphony of crashing and banging noises echoed out from the shed, growing louder and louder as time went on. The fog of confusion that was currently clouding your cranium was replaced by the overwhelming sensation of fear, as you wondered what horrid monster was about to burst out of the small shed. The noises grew to a crescendo as the door was violently swung wide open, revealing the creature inside. To your surprise, this creature wasn't a creature at all, instead what stood before you was your coworker. Clad in a gray lot jumpsuit and wearing a nervous smile right under a pair of eyebags, this janitor seemed like they needed a strong cup of coffee, a long nap, or both. For a second, the two of you just stared at each other awkwardly, not really knowing what to say or how to introduce yourselves. Luckily, Mr.H stepped in did it for you, " , I'd like you to meet Ima Dye, they're going to be your comrade in arms from now on" Mr.H gave Ima a somewhat stern look, causing them to quickly hold out their hand for you to shake. You did the same, only for Ima to enthusiastically (and somewhat aggressively) grab and shake it. "It's gonna be great to have another janitor working around the lot, ever since the last on..erm-retired, I've been up to my neck in work-heh" Ima stammered. Despite trying their darndest to give off the impression that they were as happy as can be, something about Ima's delivery hinted otherwise. Mr.H seemingly also picked up on this, as they gave the janitor a faint glare of disapproval and contempt. Ima of course noticed this and took it as a cue to finally stop shaking your hand and tidy up their statements, which they attempted to do with the best of their ability. "B-but with you on the team, I'm sure we'll be back on schedule in no time," Ima said as they flashed a much more confident-looking smile at both you and your ever-present "First day Guide". After staring at Ima for another second or two, Mr.H returned to his much more chipper self without delay, "Ima here is going to show you what your duties will be as a hygiene expert, for a janitor of your caliber it should be no trouble whatsoever" Mr.H said as he gave you a "playful" shove, almost knocking you over again in the process, "If you have any questions at all don't hesitate to ask your new co-worker". Ima nodded along in agreement as Mr.H spoke, trying to keep their cool in what seemed to be a very stressful situation for them. "I, unfortunately, have other business to attend to, so I will have to catch up with you later ," Mr.H said as they climbed back into the cart you arrived in and sped off into the distance. "Sooo...is it me or does that guy give off some weird vibes?" you said, trying to make small talk with Ima, who seemed to have their eyes glued on the cart, only shaking out of it once it was completely out of sight. "Hm?-oh...uh yeah, Mr.H's eccentric personality can take some time to get used to" Ima muttered quietly in a somewhat downtrodden tone as they turned back towards the small wooden shed, "Follow me, I probably should show you where we keep all of our equipment". You followed along cautiously, being slightly confused by your coworker's sudden change in tone and weary of what lied within the less than trustworthy-looking shed. Once you were inside the shed, Ima slammed the door shut behind you, encasing the both of you in darkness and causing you to jump in surprise, consequently hitting your head (again) on what you could only assume was an overhead lamp. "Oh, sorry about that..." Ima walked over to another part of the darkened shed and flicked a switch, turning on what few lights were in the shed, and making it ten times easier to see what the inside was actually like. The inside of the shed was a far cry from what you expected it to be, as dozens upon dozens of modern, well maintained, and highly illegal weapons lined the walls of the interior. You kept switching your gaze back and forth from the armory to Ima, practically demanding some sort of explanation for this unforeseen turn of events. Ima (who was still standing near the switch) didn't seem the understand what you were asking for before they turned around and were met with the armory in all of its glory. "Shoot...sorry about that", Ima said in a defeated tone as they pressed a big red button next to the light switch. In an instant, the walls of the shed began to rotate, replacing the well-organized rows of high-grade weapons with well-organized rows of various cleaning materials and equipment, "I keep telling the security team to stop stashing their stuff in here..." Ima muttered as they began to inspect the rows of materials. You were totally and absolutely flabbergasted by what you had just witnessed, in 5 minutes, your first day went from a boring tour with your creepy guide to being in the middle of what appeared to be a spy's dream hideout. Ima picked up on your sheer shock and gave you a sympathetic nod, "Yeah it can be a little crazy around here sometimes...but you get used to it after a while, now come on, they probably aren't going to like it if we keep goofing in here for much longer" Ima said as they carefully chose a broom from the rack and handed it to you, "plus it'll give me a chance to show you where we'll be working today". Now any sensible and rational human being would turn and run for the Hollywood Hills at this point after seeing what you just saw, and a large part of you did indeed want to turn tail and run as fast as you could away from this whole day. But as the saying goes curiosity obliterated the janitor and you were more than curious as to what other amazing secrets this studio lot held. With that, you took firm of the broom and followed Ima out of the shed, your heart pounding with both anticipation and excitement.
