Chapter 5: A land where sleep and not asleep exist
a man in a tall white lab coat, black jeans and he had black hair with but his name tag is blank. "Who are you mister? I can't say I've ever met you before" said Blossom stopping her skips to eye the man up and down carefully "Now when I look at you, you look like the professor except you're much older and…" she tried to see his face through the darkness with what little light she had but couldn't. "It's really hard to see you, why is that?" asked Blossom crossing her arms, she knew should be on high alert with strangers who could potentially be villains but she didn't sense anything evil nor demented coming from this old man, she felt at peace, humble and happy to see him but she didn't know why though such an odd feeling.
"My name is…" said the man, Blossom saw his mouth move but his voice cut out like someone pushing the mute button on your favorite tv show when you are watching it. "Wait your name is what? I didn't quite catch it" said Blossom laughing nervously. The man laughed at this knowing how hard it must be for her to focus right now "I said my name is…" once again it cutoff in mid-sentence, he was smiling with his eyes closed, Blossom still didn't catch it but played it off like she heard him that time. "What a nice name!" she commented nodding her head "So where are we Mister?" she asked politely looking around the darkness as best as she could, the little light only touching her entire and the man somewhat a little. "Where we are is a world where the sleeping and restless are, sadly I've gotten stuck here, but you aren't" he said.
Pointing towards the light the man smiles "I can see you're shining brightly which means you can see it can't you?" he asked. Blossom looked towards the light nodding her head in response "Yeah it's a light shinning on this place- wait you can't see it?" asked Blossom surprised by this, figuring the man must have been blind but he couldn't have been if he was able to see her right? "I can't this only proves how right I am. Go Blossom everything you want to know will be revealed there and try not to keep them waiting much longer will you." said the man smiling, Blossom turned back to the man but he was gone how freaky! "I better start moving.." she said to herself running to the light, it didn't take long before she got there, once she did there she saw it! A leg with some black shoes on, they were causing this small light to shine. "What is that…" she asked herself reaching forward to touch it but without warning.
There was a bright flash of light coming across Blossom's face, she shielded her eyes from it, slightly moving her hand trying to see if the sun finally was going down. "Blossom don't move your hand!" said a voice, it was squeaky and somewhat high pitched like Bubbles, but it sounded different. "Bubbles?" asked Blossom glancing through her hand trying to see through the bright light all she saw was two small figures, one wore a green dress with a black strip in the middle and the other wore blue "What's going on guys?" "Blossom" said the other voice resembling something to Buttercup's but it was different too. "You need to stay alert something's coming your way Blossom, something bad!" Blossom couldn't see their faces the light wouldn't allow it. "Buttercup! Bubbles is that you?!" she called out to them "It is us! Just not as you remember us..." said Bubbles laughing a bit "We'll see you-" the light gotten extremely brightly and soon vanished.
"Blossom!" screamed Bubbles in a frantic voice "Are you okay?!" Blossom blinked a few times taking a second before her vision refocused on Buttercup's room, she was no longer standing and smiling but instead laying down on the floor. "Geez Bloss you scared us half to death!" said Buttercup, Blossom could sense the fear in her voice when she spoke. "Ugh…ow…" said Blossom sitting up slowly rubbing her head. "I think I'm okay Bubbles…what just happened?" asked Blossom feeling the back of her head indicating she must have bumped it on her way down. "You hit your head and got knocked out! You were playing and here talking with us" said Bubbles sitting on her knees by her side "And I hit you with my pillow and you hit your fucking head! You were out for nearly twenty minutes!" said Buttercup "I see…" said Blossom mumbling to herself thinking as to what in the hell it was, she saw!
"Are you okay Blossom?" asked Bubbles checking to see if she was bleeding in her head luckily she wasn't at all "Yeah I'm okay now…" said Blossom taking the ice pack from Buttercup and put it back on her head where she hit her head. "Bloss, listen..I'm totally sorry I didn't mean to.." said Buttercup sighing trying to find the right words to apologize. "Its okay Buttercup, I mean I did start our semi pillow fight after all" said Blossom laughing at her own joke a bit "I just wasn't expecting to go down like I just did!" she added. Bubbles wondered if Blossom was really okay or not, she sounded like she had been hiding something from them but didn't bother to ask. "I mean I am pretty fit…" said Buttercup smiling a bit looking to her best friend. "Maybe next time give us a warning before you just start attacking us!" said Bubbles smiling her usually bubbly grin "You got it!" said Blossom grinning as well.
Blossom has finally woken up what will she do? How will she tell her friends about the odd visitor she's never met before?! Find out next time onnn The Ultimate Girl Z! see you next week for a thrilling adventure!
