Chapter 11th
Kasie Heines had been sitting in her office writing up a report on her last case that needed adjusting with the evidence she was able to come up with in the field finally.
She had heard someone walk into her lab when she saw that it was Senior Field Agent Timothy McGee. She had gotten up from her seat in order to greet him in the other section of the lab.
"What's going on Tim?" she said to him with a curious expression on his face.
"I need for you to process this quickly without Director Vance finding out. Marcie was able to find an electronic bug in the living room, and we need to know just where it's from and who placed it inside the bookcase."
"Damn! Gibbs is going to go off the wall with this one Tim? He doesn't need any more deaths around him?" Kasie cried out ...
"I agree with you. However, there is going to be fireworks quite soon since I had told you about those files being sent to SECNAV and other agencies?" Tim inquired.
"I don't want to be around when Director Leon Vance gets that call?" Kasie said with heading over to her table to begin work on the bug, while McGee was heading back home to Delilah and the twins going like weeds.
Meanwhile, Kasie went to work and very much interested when she found out who the company was involved and who had actually placed the bug sometimes later with a monster of a headache.
Looking at the information onto the computer screen. She had to call Tim at home...
McGee was sitting in his computer room playing one of his games. When Delilah walked in with her cell phone in her hand. "Tim there is a call for you from Kasie at NCIS. She said it's important?" she will reply with having to be curious as to what was going on.
"I will speak with her about stopping the game on the computer," he said with grabbing the phone. "Kasie what's the word on the bug?"
"Bad news Tim. I came up with the owner of the bug. It's Trident industries owned by Director Leon Vance recently taking over the past year, it was Vance that had placed the bug with finding his prints on the electronic bug. No doubt he was able to get into Gibbs's house using the key that is usually under the mat?"
"Listen do me a favor Kas. Do you think it's possible after you're done with the information to make two copies before destroying the original giving me and Pride the copies to hold? Plus head to Gibbs's house to see if the lock and that key have any prints on them both and please be careful Kasie?"
"Don't worry I will Tim. I will let you know later or in the morning on those prints in the morning?" she said getting to work with making the copies before deleting the file.
Afterwards, she signed back out of the lab to head out of the Naval Yards to head for Gibbs house with the equipment needed.
Meanwhile, she had gotten a phone call from Doctor Palmer wanting to know whether she will like to have a few drinks at Kelly's bar with him.
"Listen, Jimmy, I will meet you there at seven o'clock? And I will explain what I am doing?" she said over the phone.
"Sure enough Kasie. I will be going home to check on Victoria and the nanny to change and rest some before driving on over to the bar," he said wondering in his mind what was going on with her in the first place.
She had placed her cell phone into her purse for now heading on down the road leading to Gibbs house. She parked the small black truck that she drives in front of his house with grabbing her equipment and a camera to take photos with picking up the key that was sitting underneath the brown mat.
She sprayed the key to see two prints on it using the device to send it back to the F.B.I. database. She was able to quickly get a result back with two names on the screen having to be senior field agent Timothy McGee and the one she was interested in will be Director Leon Vance.
She had to whistle at the name and what is hell is going to happen when McGee and others find out. She was waiting on the database with the lock since there were three possible prints on it. So she packed up with looking at the time having the chance to change quickly.
She walked into her apartment leaving the items hidden inside a closet she had Gibbs make for her. She removed her soiled clothing and placed them into the purple hamper sitting in the corner of her bedroom.
She was in the mood to dress up for the date with her finance Doctor Jimmy Palmer ever since Breena had died from the virus.
Kasie brushed her hair up into a bun while placing on her makeup for the evening. After checking her purse carrying her revolver having learned how to use it with Special Agent Gibbs and others teaching her.
She checks for her credit cards, debits, and most of all her cash and coins, including I.D., badge, and something to prove to those that might be interested to know why she was carrying in the first place.
Kelly's bar Time: 6.45 P.M.
Doctor Jimmy Palmer had been sitting at a table alone looking for Kasie to arrive. A young male waiter had come over asking for his order for Whiskey and a shot until Kasie arrived.
It was exactly a few moments later she had walked in all dressed up as she noticed Jimmy sitting at a table with drinks on the table.
"Hey! I am sorry to have been a little strange over the phone. I will explain once I have my usual drink?" she said to him with waving over the waiter to start the evening.
