Chapter 13th
Doctor Cyril Taft needed to calm down his patient by calling for a nurse with a syringe to knock him out for a few hours.
"You're not going to give me anything Doctor? I am going to get out of here now!" Gibbs cried out with his emotional outburst.
"Why Gibbs does Vance need to be killed now? When all this had been brewing for years with you and that god damn files of yours that were given to you by Trent Kort?" he cried out.
"Because at the time I didn't bother to take a look at the files," Gibbs said with calming himself down.
"Why Jethro when you knew that something was up with Vance and his background?" Doc said with telling the nurse entering to leave the syringe on the table that he was going to take care of it.
"Yes, doctor Taft." the young nurse said with leaving the room.
They watched her leave.
"Okay, I have a plan, Gibbs. I will help you with releasing you tonight. But I need to make sure that someone is going to be with you at the time you're going to try and take out Vance. I would do this but I have surgery that needs to be done this evening with one of my patients."
"I rather do things, alone doctor?" Gibbs needed to say.
"I can't do that Jethro since you're still recovering from your heart surgery. You know what? I am going to cancel the surgery due to a family emergency. I will be going along with you. Even though I know Catherine is not going to be happy with doing something like this Jethro."
"Do you know how to use a revolver Cyril?" Gibbs needed to know the answer.
"Yes, I do from over the years. I keep a service revolver in the bedroom hidden in a small vault. My wife Catherine hates it for the most part.
"Go home and get it while I wait to be released from the hospital?" Gibbs says.
"I will get it once I get you out of here. But first I need to start the process as it's going to take some time. So I suggest you lay back down until it's time to leave. We will get you dressed when things are put into action.
"Fine. But in the meantime, I will have to call Marcie and let her know what is going on?" Gibbs could see the look on his friend's face with that one.
"Marcie is going to be having a fit when you're going to tell her what you're planning on doing?" Taft noted with leaving the room to get to work with the release.
Marcie had been trying to rest on the couch. While the cell phone had been sitting on the coffee table. It was quiet when all of a sudden forgetting she had it on loud to scare the hell out of her. She had jumped up quickly with her heart racing in her throat.
"Jesus Jethro what 's going on I had thought you will be coming home in a few days?" she responded with the question.
"Actually I am leaving tonight with Doctor Taft signing off on the paperwork," Gibbs said to her in a tone that she knew really well.
"Wait a minute! What the hell are you going to be doing Jethro?" she cried out.
"I will be coming home with Taft to gather my things, Marcie. However, I will need for you to head for your house in order to protect yourself from Vance and the local Cartel."
"Why push me out of your life now when you know that I can protect myself with a weapon? I have my revolver sitting on the coffee table in case someone tries to break into the house, Jethro."
"We will discuss this further when Taft brings me home," Gibbs replied over the phone.
"HOW DARE YOU DO THIS TO ME NOW WITH CARRYING YOUR CHILD?" She inquired mostly with her emotional response.
"Stop already Marcie! I will talk more when I get home," he said with hanging upon his wife to be ready with his go-bag in the closet.
It was one house and twenty minutes had to be two o'clock in the morning. When Doctor Taft pushing the wheelchair and paperwork in his hands to be signed by Gibbs.
"Sign this so that I can drop it off at the nurse's station letting them know you're been released?" Taft said with wearing his civies and with a yawn. "Did you speak with Marcie by any chance?"
"She 's mad as hell at me for even thinking about killing Vance," Gibbs says with a cryptic tone in his demeanor.
"Let's get the hell out of here Jethro before I change my mind." Doctor Taft said with grabbing his things to be placed on the back of the wheelchair.
Gibbs had gotten dressed quickly with tying his black shiny shoes. While placing his cap over his head for now. He was going to change into his fatigues at home. That's if Marcie was still talking to him.
Taft helped slightly when he had lost his balance slightly with Gibbs telling him that he was alright. Afterward, they headed out towards the ICU nurse's station.
From there they headed for the elevator down the hall with going downstairs to Taft's vehicle on the second level. Walking out Taft used his remote to open up both of the front doors for Gibbs to get in while placing his go-bag into the back for the trunk.
"Jethro are you alright?" Taft needed to be sure with his friend and patient.
"Yeah, I am fine Doc! I just have all this anger built inside of me right now and I need to do something about it?" he cried out.
"I know the feeling Jethro!" Taft said with turning on the key to start the car to move out of the underground parking lot of the hospital.
