Chapter 22th

Moments later Special Agent Alden Park pulled out his cell phone to call his wife Karen at home. While he was waiting for his food for the most part. Bringing up the number onto the screen. He rubbed his salt & pepper beard needing to shave a little sometime later for when he's home.

Karen was outside sitting in the backyard after pruning bushes. She was loving living here after purchasing the home after transferring in. It was a cold, crisp day so far while she had been relaxing with the cell phone going off to be indicating it's her husband Alden.

"Hey! I was beginning to wonder about you today Alden?" she noted with a hint of a smile even though he not's able to see it.

"I have been busy Karen visiting NCIS for a number of cases happening for the F.B.I., along with speaking about Special Agent Gibbs former team leader."

She had heard a great deal about the agent over the years. "Former Team agent what has happened?" she had to say to him.

"Long story Karen. But from what I know he was injured in a boating accident caused by a serial killer. He's still alive and is recovering from his injuries before entering the NCIS Acamedy as an instructor." he exclaimed over the phone.

"I can bet Alden that Special Agent Gibbs is not going to like the idea of being an instructor?" she snapped with her response.

"I don't know Karen since I don't have a clue as to what type of a person he is as an agent for NCIS." Special Agent Alden Park needed to say. "By the way, I was able to finish up the errands while I am here now at the diner. Do you happened to know whether you're hungry?"

"Now what do you think Alden?" she cried out with getting up from her chair to head back inside with the chill through her bones.

"Okay, I will get you something interesting nevertheless. I will let you know further later as to why I was at NCIS in the first place?" he said with hanging up the phone without saying goodbye or telling her that he loves her to be really annoying. She was going to be telling him off.

Placing his order with the waitress while the diner was busy. He needed to call Gibbs at the hospital to find out how he was doing.

Bethesda hospital

Special Agent Leroy Gibbs had finished up his physical therapy session getting stronger before he's able to go on home finally. He's been in the hospital too long right now and his nerves were on edge with so much going on around him.

His cell phone had been sitting on the table getting back into bed washing his brow from the sweat after she had left for another patient on the very same floor.

Feeling better to lay back into bed when all of a sudden his phone was going off. He was slightly annoyed as to who might be calling him in the first place. He noticed the name of Special Agent Alden Park of the F.B.I. taking over for Tobias Fornell.

"This is Special Agent Gibbs how can I help you?" he noted with a tone of voice that could be picked up by Alden on the line.

"First of all Gibbs, I am sorry to be bothering you like this in the first place. How are you by the way?" he will be concerned for the most part.

With the shake of his head. "Much better thank you, Special Agent Park," he said.

He went into the details as to what has been going on today at NCIS with Knight and the director. "I need to know that I can trust Director Anthony Lowry, unlike Vance?" he says with a croak in his tone of voice.

"I wouldn't Special Agent Park after the dealings I had with Director Leon Vance for years and his involvement with the C.I.A. and other agencies." Gibbs takes a deep breath.

"I will try to avoid any confrontations with the man. However, did Fornell your friend deal with Vance over the years?" a question that was easy to answer right now.

"Yes, he did Special Agent Alden Park. Tobias Fornell always was having to fight him the director to understand the different situations and cases. Just don't let this director get the best of you?"

"Okay, Gibbs. But I do need to ask who actually killed Director Leon Vance?" Special Agent Park needed to know.

"I have no idea. But if I had to take a guess it will have to be the Cartel or the serial killer Marcie Warren." Gibbs says even though it was a lie.

"Thanks I will leave you alone for now. Take care of yourself Special Agent Gibbs," he said with hanging up with the connection.

Gibbs had to rethink the conversation to Alden Park wondering why he had been asking about the shooting of Director Leon Vance. What was he trying to get at? as Gibbs needed to grab his water from the pitcher with his mouth dry from the call.

Meanwhile, Alden Park had left the diner with the food for his wife and himself at the house. His mind had been reeling since he really didn't think that Special Agent Gibbs didn't give him the truth about Vance in the first place.

Pulling out of the parking lot of the diner. He moved into the lane to head for his house on the outskirts of Alexandria for where Gibbs lives with his wife as well.

While he was driving. He noticed a black SUV following as he was able to notice the plates with writing them down with his pen in case of trouble. He was going to call the bureau to find out who the plates had belonged to.
