Blown
Just when Marcie had gotten up feeling strange. Her water broke with the baby was due within the past two weeks. "OMG! my water broke Jethro!" she cried out as her husband had pushed the call button along with the P.A. system next to him.
"Can I help you Special Agent Gibbs?" the voice over the intercom had to say with a calm response.
"I need help my wife's water just broke and she needs to be taken up to the maternity ward. Please inform Doctor Silvers having to be her doctor?" he mentions with his heart is racing the excitement of his wife is going to be having a baby and he's not going to be there at all.
"I will advise her right now with helping us on the way Special Agent Gibbs," she says with the communications ending and a wheelchair arriving momentarily.
While Leroy Jethro Gibbs advised his wife to try and take it easy until they get here.
While outside in the corridor.
Doctor Cyril Taft had seen the whirl of activity with the wheelchair. He had to guess what had been going on with Marcie to be here visiting.
Walking into the room with the two technicians was helping Marcie into the wheelchair to be taking the woman to the maternity ward on the fourth floor.
"Marcie, I had suspected this was going to happen soon with the stress you're been under the past few weeks?" he noted. "Do you need a proxy coach to help you with the contractions?"
"OMG! Yeah, I do. Even though I want my husband by my side for when the baby is going to be delivered?" she cried out in pain with the series of contractions.
"Marcie, try and take it easy the best you can. I love you!" Gibbs inquired with his response.
"I love you as well Jethro." she was being wheeled out of the room to head for the elevator with Doctor Silvers to be ready for her.
Meanwhile, Leroy Jethro Gibbs turned serious.
"Doc I need to be there for my wife!" he cried out pleading with him.
Turning to face him. "Are you out of your mind Leroy Jethro Gibbs?" Taft was livid with his response to his friend.
"This is my first child with Marcie and I need this for myself and for Marcie since I know she wants me there no matter what." he exhales with his lungs expanding.
"Do you know just how dangerous this could be for you, Gibbs?" Doctor Taft in his doctor mode standing pat for the moment.
"Look this is important for me to be there since I made a pact with myself that I will be there for my baby's delivery after I screwed up years ago with missing out on Kelly's being born while I was deployed." he cries out with his response.
"Okay, already I will see what I can do with talking to Doctor Silvers in regard to this request. You're one crazy dude?" he said loudly with removing his glasses for the moment to rub his eyes.
He walked out of the room with Gibbs relaxing in his chair feeling better that he was able to change his friend's mind after bullying him with his emotional response.
Maternity ward.
After making sure that Doctor Silvers was able to check out Marcie in the birthing room with her proxy. She came out of the area to be out into the corridor to see Doctor Taft on full steam to catch up with her.
"Cyril, Marcie is settled now in the birthing room. It's going to take some time with the contractions," she said with a dry cough.
"I need to ask you since it's important to my patient. Special Agent Gibbs wants to be with his wife in the birthing room and I agreed to the idea. He's concerned that he's going to be missing out after losing out on watching his daughter Kelly is born. I know this is not proper. But I a willing to let him do this for the sake of his own self-respect and for his wife." Taft inquired with a deep sign.
"I swear sometimes Special Agent Gibbs can be a real pain in the ass. Do it and bring your patient here? If he falters once with his health. I will be forced to have him removed while Marcie is having the worst of the contractions. Understand?"
Special Agent Gibbs was concerned since he's not heard or seen Doctor Taft. When all of a sudden there was a knock on his door with a wheelchair and Taft to be pushing his friend to maternity.
"Do you think that you're able to get dress Jethro so that I can bring you down to Maternity?" he asks with a question that had brightened up Gibbs's expression.
"Of course I can Cyril." He had gotten up slowly from the chair to head on over to the closet to pull out his blue jeans and blue pleated long sleeve shirt, along with his just his slippers.
With Taft's help with the rest of his things. He had placed Gibbs into the wheelchair once he was ready to head out of his room. Taking a deep breath thrilled at the prospect that he was going to be there for the birth of his son.
"Are you alright Jethro?" Taft had been concerned from the moment Gibbs had asked him the crazy question.
"I am fine Doc! Come on already I am very anxious to be with Marcie before I lose out?" he was livid with his question and Taft pushing him along.
"There is one thing I need to say Jethro before we get into the elevator. Doctor Silvers has told me that if you ever falter with your health. She will be forced to pull you out and have your ass back to bed. Do I make myself clear?"
"Noted!" Gibbs said...
