Chapter 29th

Special Agent Gibbs had been so proud of his wife to finally deliver their son. Even though it was rough on both of them. He looked up to see the nurse holding their son Shane Jackson Gibbs to the weighting table.

"Doc, There is a pool at work on the weight of my son. I and Doctor Donald Mallard had made the same bet with the weight to be 8 pounds 16 ounces," he said...

"It felt like it ten pounds Jethro?" Marcie needed to cry out with the nursing staff cleaning her up with getting her ready for her private room to be given food and mostly sleep.

"Okay, let's see?" Doctor Silvers watched the nurse place the baby onto the weighing table.

The young nurse watched as the numbers came up onto the screen. "Exactly the same that Mr. Gibbs had said to be eight pounds 16 ounces. By the way sir, how much money do you think you're able to collect? if you don't mind me asking?" she said to the parents.

Turning to face his wife..." I believe it was a little over $1,000 dollars." he noted with a deep sigh.

"Wow!" Marcie cried. "Jethro what are your plans for the money?" she exclaimed with her stomach grumbling since it's been so long since she last had anything to drink or eat.

"Buying you and Shane a gift, along with needing supplies to finish up the boat I am working on," Gibbs said with a yawn.

Doctor Silvers indicated to one of the nurses to have a transportation operator bring back Special Agent Gibbs to his room. "No doubt Gibbs, you're exhausted?" she will ask.

"Exhausted with some heaviness in my chest no doubt from the stress." he will be snapped back with his answer.

"Maybe you should consider calling Doctor Taft to check it out with being concerned?" Doctor Silvers knew that dealing with BY-PASS patients that anything can lead to another cardiac issue, especially when it comes to the 70-year-old NCIS agent.

"I will call him or do you wish to call the doctor?" Gibbs said with watching his wife's expression knowing that he was being stubborn as always when it comes to his own health.

"Not that I don't trust you, Gibbs? I will call Doctor Taft before I go on home," she said with heading out to take out her cell phone to have him paged.

Doctor Cyril Taft had just finished in the fourth floor operating room for a patient that was brought in by an ambulance having suffered a heart attack at home.

This had been his third attack as he had advised months ago that he needed a double bypass to save his life.

Having changed into his civies. His cell phone had been going off with Doctor Silvers to be calling him. he had been wondering whether this had anything to do with Loriele having the baby finally and his patient Leroy Jethro Gibbs.

"Angela, how did it go with the delivering?" Cyril asks with rubbing his bald head after removing his glasses.

"It was rough! But she was able with help from her husband to be able to deliver the baby. But the reason I am calling with having you check out Gibbs and his health. I believe the stress might have injured him slightly with his chest.

Exhaling for a brief moment. "iI should have known this was going to happen in the first place and I warned him that it's going to be keeping him in the hospital further?" he cried out.

"That's too bad Cyril. So you're going to be seeing him with the transportation operator back to his room?" she will say to him.

"Yes, I am just about finished here after saving a new patient's life. Thanks for calling." he snapped back with hanging up the phone to finish his dressing and checking his anger.

Leaving his office. He headed for Gibbs's room not knowing what to really expect with his patient. Even though it was himself that had given them permission to do this in the first place, as with Doctor Silvers. When he had reached his room standing in front of it. He made a deep sigh with his breathing before moving inside.

Pushing the door opened to see Gibbs laying in bed with his eyes closed as he opens them to see the doctor with an expression really well.

"Yeah, I know I have screwed up Cyril with helping Loreile with the delivery of our son." he sighs with some slight pressure in his chest.

"Are you alright Jethro?" Taft came over to see him grimacing with the pain in his chest.

"No," he said directly with his answer.

"Okay, I am going to order a number of tests on you to make sure this is nothing but muscle strain and not a cardiac arrest Gibbs." he cried out with the response and with the shake of his head to walk out to head for the nurse's station to be speaking with the supervisory nurse to order the tests for Special Agent Gibbs.

"Right away Doctor Taft." she had gotten on the phone to call the different departments for the EKG, x-ray, MRI, cat scan, and one other.

Meanwhile, Loreile Gibbs was asleep after the food was brought into her room after being settled after the birth of her son. She was sore as hell with the delivery and needed to take some pain medication in order to try and sleep.

Doctor Silvers knew this was going to happened with placing the order before going on home to her own husband arriving home from a conference working for the Pentagon as a liaison officer.

Falling asleep with ease now. She had been thinking a great deal about her husband Leroy Jethro Gibbs and what he had gone through after the bypass surgery.
