R&R longer note at the end
An image a smiling blonde floated through the young girls mind she seemed to be teasing a brown haired girl who was wrestling with the blonde's wondering hands, a pink haired girl laughed innocently as she watched sat next to her was a girl with white hair pulled into two twin-tails.
"Everyone!" the black haired girl suddenly shot up looking around as her head began to ache she laid down she reached up feeling a damp patch on her forehead, looking down she saw a wet cloth resting next to her slowly her head began to settle down as she looked around the unfamiliar room. Her friends were no were to be seen as she remembered what had happened, she felt a presence as she saw a small girl in a white dress sat against the wall watching her, her short black hair fell to just above her shoulders.
"You shouldn't move, you'll only end up hurting yourself" She said smiling as she get to her feet, her dress falling to just above her feet the sleeves were long covering her hands as she walked over, her skin deathly pale even in the dimly lit room shaking her sleeves she reached down taking the cloth as she wet it in a bucket of water making sure it wasn't too damp she slowly lowered it onto the black haired girl's forehead.
"Thank you" She said her throat feeling dry as the cool cloth eased the banging in her head "Wh-where am I?"
"Mikagura shrine, you've been asleep for the past three days. I was concerned you weren't going to wake up" The girl replied sitting next to her taking a long straw placing it into a nearby cup of water leading it to the girl's mouth "Drink, slowly now". Ikaruga slowly nodded accepting the straw feeling embarrassed being nursed by a child, the cool liquid flooded her dry throat refreshing her body, releasing the straw the girl next to her removed it smiling as she folded her legs.
"You did well" She said suddenly "Not many people can take on the sisters and my attendant and live to talk about it, let alone take one of them down". Ikaruga stared at the girl, her eyes slowly squinting as she got a better look suddenly it all made sense, a wave of cold fell over her body.
"I-it's you" Ikaruga said her lips numb "You're the legendary shinobi. Your Kagura".
"A pleasure to meet you" She said standing up as she smiled bowing "I am indeed Kagura". The black haired swordswoman felt her face going red as she turned away, she was here, the legendary shinobi Kagura was standing in front of her, nursing her to health, this wasn't how she had wanted to meet her.
"Relax, you're a shinobi after all. These things happen" She said as she sat back down "If it makes you feel better I only came in a few moments ago it's been Renka looking after you". Ikaruga slowly turned back to face her feeling a little less embarrassed, slowly she moved the cloth off her forehead as she sat up pulling the white robe closer as she saw the bandages on her arms and chest.
"I'm sorry about my appearance your ladyship" Ikaruga said politely as she faced Kagura who chuckled.
"Ladyship? That's a new one" She said chuckling a little more "You don't need to be polite, the other four aren't, well Naraku is but that's a different story". As she said the name a girl with green hair appeared kneeling beside her causing Ikaruga to jump a little as she pressed her hand to her head.
"You summoned me miss Kagura?" the girl said as she looked Ikaruga over "I'm pleased to see our guest has awoken, my apology's if I went too far in our fight".
"If you had gone easy then it wouldn't be a test" Kagura said as she looked to the green haired girl "Naraku, go tell Renka to bring in some food for our guest". The girl named Naraku nodded as she vanished as quickly as she had appeared, Kagura's eyes fell back on Ikaruga before she spoke again.
"Who told you where to find me?" the girl asked "I can imagine who but I'd like to hear it".
"My senior. Her name is Daidōji" Ikaruga responded as Kagura nodded "She warned me of the test but gave no details, I hope I have done enough to pass".
"Your alive" Kagura replied with a warm smile "That's a pass in my book". Ikaruga smiled back as the bamboo screen door slowly slid open, a girl with brown twin-tails wearing a white and red shine maiden uniform bowed low as she entered carrying a tray.
"I hope you like porridge" She said with a smile, Ikaruga looked at the girl recognising her features the same girl she had fought against three days ago.
"Thank you" Ikaruga said as the tray was placed in front of her as Kagura stood up headed for the door with Renka.
"We'll talk once you're done" Kagura said smiling "Take your time". Ikaruga smiled as the bamboo screen door slid closed, slowly she picked up her spoon as she began to eat, the porridge slid down her throat into her empty stomach as she processed what had happened. She felt her eyes begin to water as the images of her friends returned, she had only been gone a few days but she missed them like crazy.
Since their class had been formed she had never been away from them for this long, she knew it was childish but she didn't care, they were more than friends, they were her real family always there when she needed a shoulder to cry on, there with a joke when she needed cheering up, she placed her head in her hands as the tears fell.
Kagura stood by the door for a moments listening to the girl's sobs as she walked away with Renka following, she had known her reason for coming her the sacrifice she had made but hearing her cry made it more real to her. The girls entered the living space seeing the other three girls sat around waiting, Kagura shook her head as she walked to stand on the wooden walkway looking to the sky.

Ikaruga looked up as the bamboo door slid open the girl with twin-tails entered smiling as she tided away Ikaruga's bowl and spoon picking up the tray, she smiled as she slowly stood up standing a moment to regain her balance.
"Thank you for the meal" she said as she looked at the girl who smiled "I hope you and your sisters are ok after our fight, I feel like I may have taken it too far with my attack on the one with the bombs".
"She's fine" the girl chuckled "If you're feeling up to it then come see for yourself. I'm Renka by the way and you are?"
"Ikaruga" the black haired girl responded as she slowly followed Renka from the room into the living space, as she entered she saw the three girl's she had fought against. The shorter girl hopped to her feet staring at her the shrine maiden outfit swaying at the rather long sleeves, Ikaruga could feel the air of cockiness from the young girl as her eyes fell on the other occupants.
"Hi there, glad to see your up and about" a girl with short blonde hair said a smile on her face as she stood her shine uniform flowed down swaying as she approached "My name's Hanabi, that was some good ninja arts you used, I didn't even see it until I was hit".
"I'm sorry about that, I just recognised you as a threat" She replied "I didn't mean to go so hard". The girl chuckled as she slowly took Ikaruga's hand in her own gently leading her to a couch as the pair sat down, the girl she had seen in her room stood near the open bamboo doors leading to the outside as the figure of Kagura was visible as she continued staring at the sky.
"If you thought she was the threat then clearly you underestimated me" the smaller girl said a cocky tone to her words "I'm a bigger threat than her, I demand a one on one".
"Calm yourself Kafuru" Kagura said as she turned walking back into the room, the girl went silent as she looked over, the green haired girl followed Kagura's movements with her eyes as she sat down on the couch opposite Ikaruga, slowly she removed a bound object passing it to Ikaruga who took it recognising it as her own ninja scroll.
"Leave us" Kagura said as the four girls nodded heading out of the room leaving the two alone "You came here to see me, you took the test and nearly died for it. What is it you want Ikaruga of Hanzo academy?"
Sorry for the long wait between chapters, I've been heavily swamped with some others I've been working on and this one sort of fell to the way side since I haven't had many ideas but hopefully things will improve. So That was intense, a four on one battle, the mention of Daidōji being the one who told her don't worry that's not the last time she will show up. Anyway I hope the next chapters won't take as long but I'm sorry if they do, hopefully when some of my others come to a close I'll have more time to focus here
