R&R longer note at the end

The black swords woman sat on the ground her legs crossed as she rested her hands on her knees with her eyes closed, every day since her loss to Naraku three days ago she had returned to the battlefield, she knew being in the place of her last fight she would be more connected to it.

Clearing her mind, she was able to see the fight as clear as if it was happening, the past two days she had focused on herself but this time was different she had focused on Naraku, her movements, her breathing. She could almost feel the answer coming to her, she replayed the match one more time as she forced her mind to lock onto the beginning of the match, the moment she changed there was something about it.

Her eyes flew open as she leaned forward her head feeling dizzy as she allowed herself a moment to calm down, she looked up slowly as she heard footsteps approaching her seeing the figure of Kagura coming towards her, Naraku stood with her carrying a tray with a cover over it.

"Time for a break" Kagura said as Naraku placed the tray down removing the cover to show three meat buns with a flask next to them, Ikaruga smiled as she picked up the flask feeling it was warm as she poured out the warm liquid.

"Thank you" Ikaruga said as she took a sip of tea taking a bite from a meat bun as she looked to Naraku "After my break may I ask a request of you?" Naraku looked into her eyes for a moment before she nodded without speaking, Kagura watched the two as she smiled glad to see the two getting along.

Kafuru looked up towards the training area as she swept the front steps a look of annoyance on her face, she hadn't liked the black haired girl from the moment she laid eyes on her the young girl had watched as everyone seemed to accept her into their shrine, into their home like she had always been there but for her she was just a normal guest who was beginning to overstay their welcome.

She looked to her sisters who were sweeping the courtyard wondering why they hadn't felt the same way she did, tossing the broom aside she began to make her way up the stone steps her sisters looked over curious as they placed the brooms to one side following.

"I apologise for the interrupt Lady Kagura but I can't stay silent any longer" Kafuru said as she reached the top of the stairs, the three girl's looked over wondering what was happening "I would like to request that she vacates our home, she has been treating this like some kind of hotel and I can't stand this any longer". Ikaruga looked over as Kafuru marched over to her with a rather annoyed look on her face, the black haired swordswoman stood up towering over the younger girl as she looked down with an apologetic look.

"I'm sorry you feel that way but I request your hospitality for one more week" Ikaruga said as Kafuru looked up feeling more annoyed.

"Fight me, one on one" Kafuru said as her sisters sighed, Ikaruga looked taken aback by the sudden challenge "If you win I will have no complaints, if you lose then you leave". Ikaruga noted the serious look in the young girl's eyes before she nodded slowly, she had seen the same look on the faces of her team mates a look of determination in their convictions that she couldn't ignore.

"Then its settled" Kagura said as she smiled hopping to her feet "The both of you can use this fight as your training, Naraku will be your referee this time". Naraku nodded as she stood taking position, the two girl's stood away from each other as they summoned their chosen weapons Ikaruga let out a breath as she looked at the young girl, she remembered their first encounter long range attacks seemed to be her speciality however the older girl knew better than to underestimate her opponents.

"Shinobi transformation" the younger girl called out catching Ikaruga off guard a little as a white light enclosed itself on the girl, her shrine maiden uniform vanished being replaced with a pale blue and white dress, around her neck was a jade green choker with a small whistle hanging from it sat on the right side of her head was a golden crown as she smirked holding her dolphin shaped water pistols at her side.

"Contestant's ready?" Naraku began as the two girls nodded "Then begin!"

Kafuru wasted little time firing off rapid shots towards her opponent causing Ikaruga to block, the black haired girl hadn't expected such an early onslaught as she was kept on the defensive this girl was skilled even for such a young age but this wouldn't be enough. Ikaruga charged forward using her sword to continue blocking the girl's shots as she tried to close the distance, she noted the smirk on the young girl's face as she closed the gap wondering what this girl would do next.

"Secret ninja art: All range festival" she called out as she used her dolphin shaped water guns firing out large targets of water as she smiled pulling out a longer water gun firing off at the targets, every time her shot connected Ikaruga watched as dolphins flew out heading in her direction liking homing missiles. The swords woman tried her best to defend herself but took some hits as she jumped back, her smaller opponent smiled as her attack began to diminish holding her dolphin shaped water guns in front of her.

Ikaruga watched her noting her overly confident smirk, it was time to put her training to use pushing off from her back foot she concentrated hard as she deflected her opponent's shots a bright light began to form around her as Naraku watched closely, in such a short time had she managed to accomplish she had spent years learning to perfect.

The light faded as Ikaruga continued to charge, Kagura smiled as she noticed the obvious changes to the black haired girl's outfit her shirt had been replaced with her white jacket with golden trim and buttons, she looked down seeing the green skirt the girl had chosen for the day she slashed with her sword as the younger girl dodged.

"Secret ninja art: Hien Hōsen: Mode One" Ikaruga called out, the watching crowd shook their heads knowing it wouldn't work Kagura however watched closer than anyone else. She had seen this tactic once before, it was a diversion tactic used by numerous shinobi who hadn't been able to materialize their armour properly Kafuru smirked as she stood knowing the attack wouldn't work she turned to shoot the girl in the back and end it.

Her eyes suddenly widened in shock as she noticed the black haired swords woman smiling at her, she drove the hilt of her blade into the younger girl's abdomen sending the air out of her as she slid back going down to one knee. Her eyes locked on the girl who readied herself for her next attack, Naraku looked on impressed by how far Ikaruga seemed to have grown since their fight she couldn't help the feeling of wanting another match with her growing by every move she made.

Kafuru forced herself to her feet as she clenched her teeth feeling anger burning up in her as she looked to the one in front of her, this wasn't how it was meant to go the young girl thought she's nothing she didn't even manage to change to her shinobi form so why was she winning? Renka and Hanabi watched on knowing their younger sister's ego wouldn't let her admit defeat even if it was obvious, she had always been this way when the three trained with each other she would always push herself too far, when they worked as a team she had always wanted to be the leader believing herself the best of the three.

"I hope this fight will show her that she can't win every battle" Renka said as they watched, Hanabi nodded beside her they loved her more than anything but sometimes her attitude was too much. Hanabi turned back to the ongoing fight, part of her wished to jump in and defend her sister but she knew better this was something that needed to happen. This was her fight and hers alone, she looked to Renka seeing her fists clenched as she struggled with her own feelings she knew her older sister felt the same as she did but this was something that needed to happen.

"This is over" Kafuru declared "I'm not playing anymore. Ultimate secret ninja art: Princess vacuum". The black haired girl looked on in surprise, Kafuru put the whistle in her mouth as she blew hard the two water guns in her hands merged into one as a large blue dolphin appeared. A black fan appeared in place of its tail as a whirlpool began to form, realising the danger Ikaruga jumped into the air as the whirlpool shot out tearing up the ground she watched as the young girl turned its aim up towards her.

A white light formed around Ikaruga once more as she concentrated hard, the rest of her shinobi armour forming around her as she looked down. Sheathing her sword, she knew there was only one way out of this, it had been a while since she had been pushed this far but this girl wouldn't give up.

The sounds of the rushing whirlwind filled the air as it consumed the black haired girl, Naraku looked on not wanting to end the fight if the girl couldn't find her way out of this situation then what would be the point in her training here, Renka and Hanabi looked on as the middle sister made to charge in.

"Stop!" Kagura called out over the sounds of the whirlpool "Don't interfere, besides she's fine. Look". Hanabi stopped as she looked up seeing a thin black object shoot out of the whirlpool, Kafuru's eyes widened in shock as the whirlpool dissipated from a large blue light.

"Ultimate secret ninja art: Zekka Hoōsen Yomishiki" Ikaruga cried out as she flew toward the ground, the large blue flame extended from her sword as it crashed into the ground sending Kafuru flying with a loud cry her shinobi outfit vanishing as she landed at Naraku's feet unconscious her shrine maiden outfit covering her still form.

"Ikaruga wins" Naraku said as the two sisters charged forward to check on their sibling, Ikaruga landed dropping her sword as she fell to her knee, her outfit had been destroyed as her white shirt and green skirt reformed around her she panted as she looked up at the sisters carrying their younger sibling to the shrine.

"You did well" Kagura said as she approached "Naraku will carry you back so don't worry". Naraku nodded as she walked over sliding the black haired girl's arm around her shoulders as she helped her back, Ikaruga's body was heavy as she pushed her legs to move. Kagura watched as she held her hand up catching the falling sheath as she smiled picking up Ikaruga's sword, this girl impressed her more and more with every turn her potential was something to behold, her determination to improve was something to be admired.

She gripped Ikaruga's sword in her hands as she headed back to the shrine, only a week left to learn what she wanted Kagura could only hope this girl would be able to master her ultimate goal.

Well wouldn't be Kafuru if she didn't throw a little tantrum however I do promise that Ikaruga will be moving on from the shrine soon and we will have a few more girl's featured soon. Who knows? Maybe I'll even add in the girl who is going to be ultimately shipped with Ikaruga but as well all know, I've never mentioned who it is so it'll be a fun game for you all to try and guess who exactly it will be
