Hey. I would like to thank the few people who left reviews on the last chapter, it was a short start and even so the first reviews I ever got, so thank you 0/
Also some said that there was a problem with format, heopefully I fixed it this time and it won´t happen anymore, but if you find anymore weird text, let me know;
And to put a note here, I really find the series perfect, this work is simply a way to let my imagination free and put out things that I know won´t happen but I wish that would, so by no means I desire to "correct" the series, but put out something that I like out there, to hopefully inspire and give joy to other people out there;
I guess that´s it, enjoy.
"That is the worst plan you ever had!" Caytlin half shouted/whispered to Vi, the elegant hallways of the council building around them, just raising the anxiety levels up, there were minutes to be head to head with the whole counsel of Piltover, and she was yet to find a way to go around their plan and find out a better one.
"It'll be fine, what's the worst it could happen?" Vi shrugged, her clothes were brand new and clean, hardly something that had happened any of the times she was here before, but she needed to make a good impression this time, although her outside was fresh, her insides were turning upside down, it was nice that over the years on the undercity and the jail she learned to keep the act up, she couldn´t show fear.
"They throw you into jail? Again! Or worse…a civil war breaks out finally…"
"Cupcaaaake, relax, nothing will go wrong, besides, I have you here with me, worst case I'll just be dragged out by a cute enforcer girl… or make a run for it" She said and gave Caytlin a wink, which almost immediately made her cheeks go red.
"S-shut up and focus!" Was the squeak of an answer the girl managed to spill back.
"Aham!" Then there was a loud noise behind them, Jinx, clearing her throat with a frown to both of them, the girl had her usual clothing, a bit more tidy since Caytlin forced her to wear matching socks and a coat to not look so...skimpy…and handcuffs, what was even the point of it? "We´re not here to have you two flirting I think" She said with a clear sarcastic tone in her voice.
"Oh my little sister is jealous?" Vi asked, the question was simply replied with a set of quick nods from Jinx, making the twin tails on her head wiggle around.
"I just got my big sis back, and I still got my eyes on ya enforcer girl" The chaotic girl wiggled herself in between them and leaned closer to Vi, squinting her eyes at Caitlyn.
"C-can you just stop! We are in the middle of something serious here" Caytlin got lost for a second in the pink shining eyes of the petite girl, a weird feeling ran down her spine, it was surprising how both sisters turned out so different from each other, the time lost in thought was broken by Jinx talking once again.
"Jezz you really need to relax more officer" Jinx pouted "We´re just there for a talk…Why do I even have to wear these?" She asked a bit sadly, spinning the handcuffs on her index finger while walking with them. She seemed bored and not at all worried, the cuffs had come out just as she wiggled between the other girls, they felt uncomfortable and she just decided to not wear them anymore.
"What?! How- when? Are those defective?" Caytlin frowned in pure confusion, not even noticing when she had taken those off, her reaction made Vi and Jinx chuckle a bit.
"No silly, if they were with problems, then I wouldn't be able to take them off" Was Jinx reply, followed by Vi´s comment.
"Exactly, I learned to get out of those before Pow-..Jinx, could properly talk" Vi interrupted herself, being now much more careful with the names she used, afraid on bring up bad memories or causing more damage, this was something they were yet to solve when they had the time, but right now? It would be better to make sure no accidents happened.
That comments just got a groan from the enforcer girl, she pinched the bridge of her nose, forcing herself to close her eyes "We are all dead" Was her final conclusion to the case, she didn´t know what their chances were at anymore, not with the chaotic duo, although they seemed different, they both had an inclination to chaos that made the core of their personality…which was slightly interesting but not appropriate at the time.
When she said that, Vi put a hand over her shoulder to stop her and cleared her throat, the girl halted "What?" and looked up to Vi, then forward… to the guards standing in front of the door.
"Miss Caytlin..to what do we own the pleasure?" The enforcers looked at each other a bit restless, maybe because of Vi´s death glare and Jinx growling at them like a street dog.
"We are here for the meeting with the council, open way" Caytlin said, raising her voice to a command tone, what took the thoughts of both sisters to the same place as they exchanged a look and a smile. "Woah, hot"
"We are only authorized to let Silco and-"
One of them started talking until Caytlin quickly cut him off, crossing her arms and glaring at them as well "No. I am already stressed out enough these days, so just do not make it worse"
It was then that a shiver ran down their spine, from all the danger they could face against criminals in the undercity, these three girls there were way scarier, they quickly nodded and opened the way for them, pushing the doors open.
"You stay until we call you, okay?" Vi turned to Jinx quickly and caressed her hair gently, she smiled softly and stood still agreeing on it "Let's go"
Vi and Caytlin walked inside the council room and the doors were closed once again, leaving Jinx with the two other enforcers, she smirked, putting her hands behind her back and tilting her body forward slightly.
"Heeeeey booooys..shall we play a game while we wait?"
(…)
"Of course a Undercity citizen would let us waiting"
"Yes, and this idea was really safe? We are all here, they could simply bomb us"
"I have other things to do"
Those and a lot of other comments in the same line were already giving Jayce a headache, he looked over to Mel in hopes that she could shine a light in the situation, but she simply kept her reserved posture, serious, and moved her head very lightly side to side in a negative way.
Jayce sighed and went back to run his eyes for the papers of demands from Silco..for the sixth time already.
"And their list of demands is simply-" It was in the middle of a protest from the old counselor, when Jayce himself was about to burst out in anger, that the sound of the double doors being opened hit the room, the others went quiet in a single second as only the approaching footsteps of those who were invited filled the room, their gazes locked on the people walking in expecting a monsters...but it was not who they were expecting at all.
"We met again, pretty boy" Vi took a hand out of her pocket and waved to him as she and Caytlin walked inside.
Mel looked at her confused, then at him raising an eyebrow, Jayce himself was completely confused as everyone one looked over to him, especially Caytlin´s mom that turned a frown so hard that it would be hard to turn her face back to normal again.
"What are you doing here?" He asked standing up.
"The meeting about what happens in the undercity is today right? Sorry I'm late" She smiled and stopped at the start of the cog like table.
Caytlin stopped right besides her sustaining the look from her mother "I am here to escort her to make sure nothing goes wrong, hence the fact that I was present in most events that took place in the last weeks, I must act to ensure safety of both parties present" She said clearly without even stuttering.
"And I'm glad to have her company, great help, really, now, shall we?" Vi casually walked to the edge of their table and sat over it, letting a foot on the ground, Caytlin stayed there yet, slapping herself mentally as the looks in the faces of all the others turned in confusion.
"So, I believe Silco had a list of demands, to which you all will be pleased to know, that's not more valid" Vi said, taking the first small canister and rolling it to the first counselor "Take one and pass it down will you?"
The counselor frowned at her, but did as she said while Vi waited patiently, inside several copies of a list of demands were neatly rolled up, and Jayce spoke.
"What is the meaning of this, Vi?"
"What you didn't get yet? I'm the one who deals cards now...Silco is dead" The phrase let her mouth and looked like a bomb being dropped, a quiet gasp from everyone present could be heard, and suddenly, it was time for the diplomatic battle, with Silco dead, they looked over to Vi like hungry wolves ready to jump on their prey and cease the problems in the undercity, exactly what Caytlin said that would happen, old rags trying to devour the unexperienced and dumb slum girl "Now.."
"What did you do?! We said we would not take it to violence!" Jayce screamed, which made Vi cork an eyebrow.
"You told me you were done, I never said such, besides, I'm not the one who killed him" she answered back with not a single worry in the world.
Mel had the documents at hand, reading them and paying attention to every detail, she took the word as Jayce kept his mouth open gaping like a fish unable to come back with an answer.
"I presumed not, since you explicitly put complete pardon and erasure of criminal records to the executioner Silco, taking in the fact, that you walking here so realxed, I assume you were not the one to carry on such job…"
"Smart woman..that, collaboration between the cities and as a gift I'll give back the lost gem stone"
"Stolen" Jayce growled.
"Same thing" And Vi shrugged.
"Your demands are…way less extreme than Silco's, what is your plan?" Mel put her fingers together and rested her chin against her hands, her eyes cautiously running over the both girls in the room.
"None, he wanted independence and control over undercity, controlling the place with thugs and drugs, I want us both to grow, right now we have drug addicts, sick people, slums, no houses and a crime rate too big, even for our standards, if we want to create a brighter future, starting alone won't do us no good" Vi stated looking her in the eyes "I plan to be as...as...what was the word again?"
She whispered to Caytlin, she rolled her eyes and leaned closer to Vi "Transparent?"
"Right! Transparent as possible on our uh...negotiations"
"You indeed are clever, for an undercity girl, no offense" Mel let a half smile slip to her lips.
"Oh offense taken, so?" Vi smiled back to her, and the talking kept going between the two.
"The demands are indeed way less aggressive, but then have been replaced by..support, how can you secure the safety of medical staff and enforcers acting in the field?"
"I can't, that's why we need them, we want peace, but the old Lanes don't really agree with me taking power, so there might be a slight civil war over the place"
"And you expect us to agree? For what reason?"
"Yea, because I'm not hiding anything, both our sides, are fucked right now, and I know that it's for both interests that we make a strong alliance, I'm the one who was supposed to take over after Vander...the last guy, he was killed, but I got arrested, Silco made everything this mess, a lot of people down there trust me and I'm sure I can turn the table around, many others would try to come and say the same, but I was in the middle of the mess and I know all the people living down there, I'm your best choice, so, deal or no deal?"
Mel took a deep breath, closing her eyes, all the others could only watch the discussion between them, not daring to step in "What would be the form of government, you say you don't want independence, but it's stated clearly here that we are not the responsible for managing directly the undercity affairs"
"Indeed, there will be a thingy just like you guys have here… a joint council was it? The members are still being elected, we don´t want to be another nation, but with all respect, none of you know shit about the reality we live in, so none of you are fit to do it"
"I see, and I believe you're their leader?"
"What? No, I'm the assistant of security division, you'll have the list of names..better, give me two days and we'll make a meeting"
"Wait a second…you also want access to academy research as well as a spot for the executioner at the academy? That's crazy" Jayce, who had been quiet, was carefully reading the list of demands, he shot the comment out as soon as he got to the end of it.
"It's take it or leave it pretty boy, I let that clear at the beginning" Vi frowned and walked over to the middle of the table to face him "You decided to make a hidden deal with Silco, and you can´t make a clear one now"
"No deal will be made. Until we see the gemstone and this subject, the academy isn´t a place for murderers" He gorwled out under the eyes of the other councelors, there was sure to be a long discussion about this secret deal later on.
"Then what are you doing there?" She asked with the most calm look in her face, Jayce and the others counselors face went to complete shock and the room was once again in silence, only the cogs and clocks ticked around them, seconds of deafening silence "That's what I thought, you can´t admit how dirty your own hands are, none of you...but very well…come on in"
They barely had time to digest the first set of words when the doors opened again. From it there was an adorable and cute girl, walking with a small spring in her each step, an innocent and sweet face, cards flew out of her pockets, the enforcers outside sat at the ground and glaring at her after the many games of cards lost, but somehow, even after such inoffensive sight, they all got chills down their spines.
She had a small container by her side, strapped over her shoulder, she quietly walked over to Jayce, he kept his eyes on her in more confusion as she took it out and opened the lid, inside there was the gemstone that she carefully put in front of him.
"I believe..that's yours sir" Jinx smiled sweetly and walked back to Vi´s side.
"Thank you" He smiled, as did all others as he took the gemstone in his hands.
"You´re welcome"
"And who might you be?" Mel asked.
"O-oh..I..I'm supposed to..be the head of research and development of the undercity, science division…" She said shyly but in a rapid fire stream of words, all of them intrigued and her expressions and how she tried to keep herself as small as possible.
"I see, and do you think this department could work well with the academy? What do you have to offer us?" Mel asked quickly.
"I mean..what we have to offer right? All the men working the mines, unloading the docks for a shitty pay, all the resources you all enjoy today, besides that, I assure you, we´re quite smart.." She giggled and the smile on the face of every counselor started fading as the grin on Vi´s lips just grew wider, Caytlin had a hard time deciding if she should also smile or stay serious. "I mean the whole drug situation, that hextech is yet to move a single finger to help about it, we made several fabrics of these drugs you know, with simple scrap...besides that we also deal with intelligence" She said, puffing her chest out proudly and strolling around the room.
"I mean, information is always good, right? Of course of course….you lot are a bunch of know it all!" Her smile kept growing, dripping with venom as she delicately ran a finger over the chairs she walked close by "I'm sure everyone is aware of the ships going by without inspection with barrels of noxian wine, fur, fumes…oh speaking of noxians, some old sailor friends have been giving notice about the noxian ships docked there, say the lady that commands them is very…spirited, if you know what I mean..Oh what's with these looks, none of you knew, oh I'm sorry I didn't want to spoil any surprise, like how nations across the continent have their eyes, on a certain little other nation fragilized by internal conflicts...Should I mention the people who usually go to a brothel ran by one of our closest yordle friends?"
By the time Jinx finished talking, they all were shocked, their skin pure white, their blood and sweat running cold, on how that sweet looking girl just turned into a demon looking creature, her eyes shining pink in the most horrible way.
"I would like you all to meet Silco executioner, and the girl who deserves a spot in the academy, Jinx"
It was the second bomb dropped inside that place, the pure horror in their faces made Jinx rejoice on the inside, althought she kept her face half serious for the sake of her sister, every sinlge person there seemed ready to jump by the windows.
Jayce was the first to break silence "We are not, allowing her to the academy"
"I said, we either have a deal or we don´t, you don´t want her with your annoying students, fine, but then we want the resources for the same level of research, it's take it or leave it" Vi stated sharply.
"I believe we..don't have to argue too much, I mean" Jinx let out a quiet laugh "You guys don´t have a choice, it's either bleed from the conflict or trust us and find peace...oh and of course.." Her eyes glowed looking over the gemstone, Jayce followed her look and tried to reach a hand to it, there was a laugh, an impact, pinks eyes rushing over the room like lightning in a storm and then there she was, her legs crossed as she sat on the table, admiring the gemstone like a kid finding a shell on the beach, Jayce´s breath heavy as he was forced to sit on the chair, none of those present even able to understand what happened "This is also part of the deal, so if it's a no..it's coming back with us…"
There was silence, breathing, fear, tension, all at the same time as they looked at each other, slowly the lights in the room dimmed until it was dark, not another word was said as they each, quietly, without any sudden movements raised their hands, the spotlights lighting up one by one, until finally Jayce raised his hand by last.
Jinx giggled and flipped the gem with her thumb like a coin to his lap and rolled back falling on her feet, lightly jogging her way to Vi.
"Well, pleasure doing business with all of you, we'll be in touch" Vi said, Jinx hooked an arm around her and the three turned to walk outside, leaving all the members of the council speechless.
Once outside, the guards looked up, they were still on the floor picking up the cards, Jinx pulled two other cards from the back pocket and let them fall out, them a groan was heard from both as she giggled.
"Very well done sis" Vi praised her, which made her giggle more and snuggle Vi´s arm.
"I must say, I truly thought we all would be dead, but surprisingly...you did very well" Caytlin said as well with a smile, looking straight forward.
"Well, it's now that the real fun begins~"
"Yes, come on girls, we have lots of things to do yet" Vi said finally as they took their way outside the building.
