MLP FIM Season 10 Episode 4- The Dangers of Battle Ball
Rainbow Dash had always been a big fan of the battle ball. It was the sport she thrived on and washer her third main obsession (after the Wonderbolts and Daring Do). So it seems natural for her to see it with some of their friends. With that, the ponies screamed as the best battle ballplayer ever to live to take the center stage.
"Fillies and gentle colts, boys and girls of all ages I've given you… Star Blade!" said Gus Johnson as he and fellow commentator Joe Klatt by his side.
Star Blade was the star player of the Brownstone Badgers alongside Thomas Jones and Kyler Murray was a player with massive talent as they come in to face with archrival Domino Dingos who three big players as well Bryce Perkins, Jalen Wesley, and Ace Shield. As the ball was thrown in the air, Bryce grabbed it gives it to Jalen who makes a deep shot but Thomas who blocks the ball and gives it to Kyler Murray as he makes defenders miss him makes the basket.
"Wow this game is awesome the Dingo-Badger showdown is the all-time best rivalry in battle ball history." Said Rainbow.
"Don't count your chickens before they hatch Dash, the game has just begun." Said Applejack.
As both teams made basket after basket we head to the final quarter where the Badgers are down by two with less than 9 seconds on the clock. Fans were alive and screaming and cheering as Star Blade just gotten the ball and made a couple of defenders missed. He steps back and makes the shot when a defender tries to block him but instead charges at him causing both players to crash into each other, but the shot was made but Star Blade didn't get up causing the fans to stay silent.
"What…just happened?" Applejack was confusingly worried. "Didn't he see the other player was coming at him?"
"Of course he didn't Star Blade has gotten injuries like this before!" Rainbow said as she shaking the farm pony wildly.
"Sure but this time he may be down for the count," Sonic remarked.
Following the near-fatal injury the Mane Six and the others having breakfast discussing what happened yesterday.
"This isn't the first time that gotten injured," Fluttershy said.
"Yeah, he just focused on the ball and not his surroundings," Lana added.
"I know that but what I don't know is why he didn't see him?" Rainbow asked.
"It's the focus of the game, Rainbow," Yusei said removing the newspaper as was having his coffee. "Sometimes players are in the zone that ignores the basics. After an injury like that, there is a time and place for an athlete to decide to step away from the game."
"Twilight, are you insane? Why would do that? He is around my age. And he's has a whole life ahead of him!" Rainbow said.
As the gang was having a deep conversation. Both Kyler and Thomas were visiting Star Blade in the hospital.
"Hey, guys," Star Blade as he noticed Kyler and Thomas enter the room. "So you heard the latest news."
"Yeah, have you ever thought of changing the cleats?" asked Kyler.
"Well yeah but retiring was always in the back of my mind," Said Star Blade. "Besides you have won six battle ball tittles. Why would say that?".
"We just care about your health Star!" said Thomas. "But it's not our decision to make it's yours."
As both Kyler and Thomas left Star Blade thought to himself that was right one more injury and his career is over. Once he was discharged he went back home to think about what's next for him.

At Wonderbolt HQ this happen…
"Crash, what is going on with you!?" Spitfire commented while looking at the young Wonderbolt. "You need to pay attention to the routine here. We only have a few days before the show and mind is in Lala Land."
"Sorry ma'am it's just things have out of hand with Star Blade's Injury," Rainbow said.
"I understand completely but right we need you to be on the same page as the rest of us. Understand?" Spitfire said.
Nodding in reply, Rainbow Dash returned to practicing with the team. After practice as Rainbow was her gear away, Soarin walked up to her.
"Oh, Soarin I didn't see you there." Rainbow exclaimed.
"Heh, it's okay. So, you worried about Star aren't you?" the stallion asked.
"Yeah, I really hope he doesn't retire. Besides he had always been my favorite battle ballplayer of all time and it won't the same without him." Rainbow said.
"I have an idea let visit Fire Streak later today and his opinion about this," Soarin asked Rainbow.
"Sure after all he stepped down as Wonderbolt. Maybe he can clear things for me." Said Rainbow.
As she and Soarin set off to find the retired Wonderbolt. Meanwhile, Star Blade headed was toward his home to see his father Lucky Lance.
"Well I'd be Star Blade what's bring you back?" asked Lucky Lance.
"Well you heard the rumors about me retiring haven't you?" asked Star Blade.
…
…
"This is about Star Blade isn't it?" Fire Streak asked.
"How did you know?" Both were stunned.
"Simple everyone at the academy is worried including me." Fire Streak said.
Fire Streak told them that he was in attendance at the game where got he injured he always wanted to meet in person but settled for an autographed picture.
…
…
"Rainbow Dash, being a princess and a Wonderbolt means setting an example for others…Sometimes you have to make the hard decision." Soarin advised.
"Well put Soarin" Fire Streak nodded. When you became a princess…you need to set an example human or not."
Later that night at Rainbow's House she told Sonic about what happened later today.
"Well, I want your opinion on how to handle the situation?" she asked Sonic.
"First and foremost Rainbow you can't just force him to retire," Sonic answered.
"Good idea, maybe I should go up to Star Blade and tell him that hurting himself too much and by my command, he should retire before it's worse," Rainbow said.
"Seems a little much," Sonic remarked.
"Here's what I think, remember when Twilight had her crisis." Sonic said.
"Yeah, can you please get to the point? " Rainbow Dash Snarled at him.
"We were forced to handle her condition head-on," Sonic said as he sat next to her.
The words put the peagus in a state of a shock realizing that she was forced to deal with the Twilight crisis head-on.
"Son of a-" Rainbow thought to herself. "You're right Sonic, I'm the Princess of Loyalty, I always faced problems head-on meaning that I had to confront the issue like it or not.
After a long and gruesome night then this happens.
At the sunrise, Lucky Lance was sitting at the breakfast table by himself when he heard a knock at the door. "Who can that be?" he wondered as he walked to the door and seeing two guards.
"Have seen the pony named Star Blade?" One of the guards asked.
"He…he's my son and he's right here with me," Lucky Lance stammered. "Why do you ask? What has he done?"
But the guards stood aside. In came Rainbow Dash in her royal attire and Sonic in his Excalibur suit with the helmet downed and right in front of Lucky Lance.
"Because we're here for him." Rainbow said as the colt bowed to both of them.
"Sir just because we're royalty doesn't mean you have the bow in front of us. Rise and Relax." Sonic said.
…
…
Still trying to process what was in front of him, Star's solitude was interrupted by the sound of knocking on the door. "Go away, Dad!" he shouted.
"Star, open up!" Rainbow called on the other side. "I just want to talk to you about what's going here."
Realizing that wasn't his dad, Star open the door and was shocked at who was on the other side!
"Princess Rainbow Dash and Sonic, The Knight of Wind!" He gasped! "What are you doing here and how did you find me."
"I'm a princess now and I have a way of finding out ponies live, duh!" Rainbow smiled.
"So, are going to let us in or what?" asked the hedgehog.
…
"Now Star, I know what you're thinking right now: You want to retire but your gut says no. Am I right?" Rainbow said.
"Before how do we know we went to see last game Las Vegas," Sonic added.
"I had no idea that royalty was in attendance." Said Star Blade.
After a heartfelt intervention Star Blade holds a press conference that he was retiring to spend time with his family.
"Well, congrats lass your first act of being a Princess Rainbow." Calvin praised them as their eating breakfast.
….

As the rest of the morning went on Rainbow felt relieved that she had done what a Princess of Loyalty should have done.
