Enterprise stared at the list of items Belfast suggested packing, then she looked over the items on her bed. Nodding with satisfaction, she neatly rolled her clothes and carefully packed everything in her backpack. "Well, I guess there's enough time to go to the canteen and get a warm drink before bed." She said to herself, turning to walk over to her dorm room door. Resting her hand on the handle she paused. She sensed a ship nearby and glanced over her shoulder. Her room, now sporting a Sakura Empire motif, was empty. Shrugging, she opened the door and Zuikaku knocked on her forehead.

"Enterprise-senpai!" Zuikaku squeaked, bowing. "I am so sorry, are you alright? I didn't mean to knock on your head."

Rubbing her forehead, Enterprise chuckled. "It's quite alright Zuikaku-chan," Enterprise replied, inclining her head, "did I get that correct?"

Beaming, Zuikaku nodded, "Yes you did senpai. However, let me get to the purpose of my being here. Shoukaku has requested your presence in our dorm room. Would you honor us?"

Glancing down the hall with a frown, Enterprise sighed. "To be honest, I was about to head down to the canteen for a cup of tea or perhaps some hot chocolate. I'm leaving on a year-long trip tomorrow with Belfast and Unicorn and I don't want coffee keeping me up all night."

"Please senpai, it would mean a great deal to Shoukaku if you would come." Zuikaku blushed slightly and bowed her head. "It would mean a lot to me too, senpai."

Glancing back at Zuikaku, Enterprise nodded. "Alright, lead the way."

Enterprise always admired the Sakura Empire fleet girls. The combination of formality and gracefulness was breathtaking, yet she also knew that the relaxed friendliness of Eagle Union was the envy of the other camps. Upon arriving at the sisters' room, Enterprise kicked off her shoes and laid them neatly just beside the door. She inclined her head at Zuikaku, who held the door open and entered. Soft gentle music filled the darkened room.

Shoukaku knelt in the middle of the room, clad beautifully in an elegant white kimono, softly playing her small wooden flute. She stopped when Enterprise entered and smiled up at the Eagle Union carrier. "Welcome Enterprise-senpai." She gestured at the tatami mat across from her. "Please, relax. As I am aware that you Eagle Union girls are much more informal, please feel free to sit in whatever manner you are most comfortable."

Already uncomfortable, Enterprise lowered herself into a cross-legged position, inclining her head at Shoukaku's low bow. "Zuikaku told me you asked for me?"

Accepting a small bowl from Zuikaku, who knelt beside her, Shoukaku nodded. "I did, senpai." Opening a small container, she scooped a measure of green powder into a bowl, before pouring in hot water. "I never got the chance to thank you properly for saving my sister during the last battle with the Sirens."

Enterprise frowned, watching Shoukaku vigorously whisk the liquid in the bowl. "Honestly Shoukaku-chan, you don't need…" she paused when Shoukaku held up her hand.

"You are correct, I don't need to. I want to. I witnessed what happened. You had a clear tactical advantage to attack Purifier and instead, you rescued my sister. Would she have survived? possibly, but there was no guarantee. Thus, I wish to display my gratitude." Shoukaku's piercing blue eyes studied Enterprise. "Do I embarrass you, senpai?"

Unable to meet Shoukaku's piercing gaze, Enterprise looked away and shook her head. "Not really."

Shoukaku laughed softly, and set the bowl before Enterprise. "Sadly, due to time constraints I cannot be as formal as I would like, however…" she took Enterprise's hands, as the carrier reached for the bowl, and guided her to rotate the bowl before taking it up to sip from it. "The tea is already sweetened, but I do have some homemade wagashi if you would like." She placed a small plate of sweets before Enterprise.

Enterprise was surprised by the touch of Shoukaku's incredibly soft hands, blushing slightly and lifting the bowl to her face to hide the redness. "Uhh, thanks Shoukaku-chan." She lowered the bowl and took a small dumpling. "Is this your only reason for inviting me? You know you could have just thanked me in the canteen or something. Why all the fuss?"

Opening a small fan, Shoukaku covered her face and gazed coyly over the top. "Senpai, to an Eagle Union girl it may look like a "fuss", but to a Sakura Empire girl, it is an honor to fuss over an honored senpai such as yourself."

Sighing, Enterprise forced a smile. The tea was quite good and exactly what she was wanting, but the formalness of the Sakura Empire girls weirded her out a bit.

Zuikaku opened her mouth to speak, but Shoukaku's held-up hand silenced her sister. "Are you that uncomfortable Enterprise-senpai?"

"No...yes...well, maybe a little. I mean, you want to call me senpai...fine. You want to drink tea with me...fine. But, did we need to go through all this just to thank me for doing my job?"

Shoukaku held up her hand and forestalled her sister's comment again. "I apologize senpai." Shoukaku smiled softly. "I suppose I should have warned you. In truth, I knew you were leaving tomorrow morning and I wanted to spend a little time with you in a way that was more," she paused, looking thoughtful, "intimate. At least as intimate as I could make it in the brief time available to me. I know that there isn't much in common between us, other than that we are all carriers here and we all love and care about those we serve with. I had hoped that was enough to at least begin building a friendship between us. Like the last time we met face to face, we were attempting to destroy each other. As you are aware, not everyone is quick to befriend others the way Eagle Union girls do."

Enterprise hung her head, "Oh, well I feel like a world-class heel. I'm sorry Shoukaku."

"It was not my intention to shame you senpai, merely to address why I chose to invite you here and attempt a simple tea ceremony with a serious time limit. With everything that happened following the second Siren invasion and then the majority of your time taken up with your friends from Eagle Union and Royal Navy, this was honestly the first chance we've got to make up for our behavior during the Orochi incident.

"Zuikaku, would you please be so kind as to give Enterprise and me some time alone?"

Frowning but rising, Zuikaku bowed first to Enterprise and then to her sister before turning and exiting.

"Shoukaku, what exactly is going on here?"

Giving a warm smile, Shoukaku reached up and removed the red flower from her hair. Scooting closer, she carefully tied the flower around Enterprise's arm, and adjusted the two strings of heart-shaped beads. "There, a favor for my brave samurai. Whenever you start to doubt your worth, look at it and remember me and come back to me."

"Are you flirting with me Shoukaku?" Enterprise sputtered, blushing furiously.

"Of course I am senpai, is this not how the Eagle Union girls display their affection?" Shoukaku wondered innocently.

"I...well...no not really. I mean...I'm happy that you like me Shoukaku, you're just...not my type."

"So the mighty warrior can have her feathers ruffled." Shoukaku grinned. "You should have seen Prince of Wales, I thought nothing could fluster that block of ice.

"Enterprise, please remember many of us care for you. Even those of us who once saw you as an enemy are now concerned for your well-being. Perhaps I didn't mean it quite the way you thought, but please come back to me. I should be very disappointed to lose a friend before getting to know her."

Shaking her head incredulously, Enterprise smirked. "I promise Shoukaku. I'm surrounded by so much love and attention, I'm not going to try and scuttle myself again."

Enterprise sat on the beach, early in the morning and stared out over the water. Her visit to watch Hau, the Island Kahuna, had been beneficial and yet she still wondered if she had what it took to take on the Island Kahuna.

"There you are Enterprise! Is everything alright?" Belfast wondered, approaching on soft feet.

"I'm alright Belfast, I was just remembering the little tea ceremony that Zuikaku and Shoukaku had arranged for me the night before we left on our journey. What with everything that had happened, I really neglected the other ships who might have wanted to get to know me better. I guess I always had many friends who I could have turned to, but I was so wrapped up in wallowing in my own misery that I couldn't see those who were already there for me. Shoukaku gave me the flower she wore in her hair and told me I was her samurai and that I must return to her." Enterprise chuckled. "I guess I'm a little nervous about facing Hau and I got a little courage from remembering Shoukaku's kindness."

Belfast unfolded the cloth she held in her arms and presented Enterprise's bridge coat with Shoukaku's red flower attached to it. "I kind of figured you would forget your coat, so I decided to pack it for you." Belfast helped Enterprise into her jacket and then stood to the side holding the carrier's peaked cap while Enterprise straightened her hair. Enterprise accepted her hat and fixed it on her head. "And how does the warrior feel now?" Belfast asked with a smile.

"Much better, thank you for always thinking of me Belfast."

"I am a maid Enterprise, it's just my job."

Enterprise smirked at Belfast, "Don't think I don't know what you're doing. I promise it's slowly getting through my thick skull." Enterprise reached over and embraced Belfast who returned the hug quickly. "Alright, I think I'm going to go get Ash and see about taking the Melemele island challenge."

Belfast walked serenely behind Enterprise, always content in her role as a maid. To witness Enterprise's growth filled her with delight.

"This is Verdant Cavern," Ash informed Enterprise, "where the island trial takes place. Now I will leave you in Hala's capable hands."

Enterprise watched Ash walk away and she approached the older gentleman who sat cross-legged on the ground beside the entrance to the cavern. Beside him sat a massive pokemon. The man looked up as she approached and nodded to her. "Greetings trainer my name is Hala, former Kahuna of Melemele Island, and current trial captain. Have you come to take the island challenge?"

At his welcoming gesture, Enterprise sat on the ground across from him. "I have sir. My name is Enterprise and I want to do the island challenges. These are my partners Corsair and Scrapper."

With his hands in his massive sleeves, Hala studied her for a minute before nodding. "Very well Enterprise. Inside this cavern, you will find Pokemon afflicted with various status conditions. It will be up to you to determine each status condition and find the appropriate remedy. There will be times, in the field, when you will not have access to a Pokemon Center or medicines. A good trainer needs to know how to take care of her Pokemon without the benefit of modern conveniences. If you successfully treat all the Pokemon, the Totem Pokemon will be summoned and you must defeat that Pokemon in order to win this challenge. If you accept these conditions, then you may enter the cavern."

Enterprise surged to her feet and hurried inside. The cavern was massive but seemed to be limited to one main room, though there was an upper level that seemed to be accessible by stone stairs. Scrapper took off and ran up the stairs and began barking loudly. Hurrying up the stairs she came across an Eevee encased in ice. Pulling out her rotomdex phone, she quickly thumbed through the information until she found the frozen status. She read through the various cures and discovered that both an Aspear and Lum berries could cure the frozen status. Eyes sweeping about, they fell on a table with a basket of berries on it. Sifting through the berries, she located an Aspear berry. She could tell that the Eevee wouldn't be able to eat the berry very easily and so she mashed it in her hands until it was pulpy. She then carefully fed it to the Eevee, some of the juice spilling onto the ice. In a few moments, the ice had completely melted. "Eevee!" It cried happily, butting her arm gently with its head. Scrapper was already on the run and had led her to an Audino that was clearly immobilized. A Cheri Berry had soon cured the Audino. A Lum Berry cured a poisoned Pikachu, a Rawst Berry cured a burned Purrloin, a Chesto Berry awoke a sleeping Magikarp and a Persim Berry cured a confused Riolu. At the end, however, another Pokemon sat staring at her. The large weasel-like Pokemon with large triangular teeth studied her. "Yungoos!" It grunted before scampering off down the stairs.

Enterprise followed the Yungoos, but it had already scampered off into a dark tunnel. Moments later, the ground trembled and an enormous Pokemon emerged from the darkness. A quick check with the Pokedex told her that this was a Gumshoos and that it and the two Yungoos flanking it were Normal-type Pokemon. She swallowed hard, a three-on-two battle would be difficult. She glanced down when something touched her foot. The Eevee she had freed stared up at her, one paw resting on her foot.

"Eevee!" It chirped.

"Wait," she blinked, "do you want to battle with me?"

"Eee!" It replied, assuming a fighting stance.

"Alright Gumshoos!" Enterprise called out. "You and me, three-on-three, let's see what you've got!"

The battle was intense. The three opposing Pokemon had clearly defined roles and battled with synchronicity. With the addition of Eevee on her team, things weren't going as she hoped. Suddenly it occurred to her that she was in charge and her Pokemon were looking to her for their roles and commands. Her naval instincts kicked in and she quickly turned the tide of the battle. The battle came down to Gumshoos and Corsair and the Gumshoos was incredibly fast, but having directed airplanes during carrier battles, Gumshoos speed wasn't nearly as effective. Finally, she noticed an opening, "Corsair, move behind Gumshoos and use Leafage!" Corsair moved with blinding speed and delivered the coup de grâce blow with dispatch. The already exhausted Gumshoos collapsed and moved no more. Enterprise released the breath she hadn't known she had been holding.

"Gumshoos is unable to battle! Enterprise is the winner!" Hala called out, having quietly entered the cavern during the battle.

Enterprise looked over at Hala and then sat down on the ground, panting slightly. "I won?"

Walking over to the now stirring Gumshoos, Hala laughed heartily. "Indeed you have Enterprise and what a battle you waged." He offered Gumshoos a bottle of MooMoo Milk and the Pokemon hastily gulped it down. Gumshoos stood and shuffled over to Enterprise. It held out a paw and in its palm lay a sparkling crystal.

"For me?" She wondered. Picking up the crystal.

"Gumshoos!" It agreed and turned, shuffling back into the darkness.

"That is a Z-crystal, specifically a Normalium-Z. That, combined with a Z-Ring will allow you and your Pokemon to use a very special powerful move, known as a Z-move." Hala said holding out a hand and helping her to her feet. "There are many ways to earn a Z-crystal, and battling totem Pokemon is just one of those ways." Reaching into his pocket, he withdrew a watch-like object. "And as a former Kahuna, it is my great pleasure to present you with your own Z-ring Enterprise. Use it well!"

Standing to her feet, she accepted the Z-ring, somewhat in a daze. "Thank you, Hala." Enterprise slipped the Z-ring on her wrist.

"You look pretty exhausted, Enterprise. If you head out of the cavern, you'll find Ash waiting to escort you back to Professor Kukui's house."

Putting her fainted Rockruff into its Pokeball, Enterprise headed out of the cavern.

Ash stood waiting and grinned. "A Z-ring, congratulations Enterprise. Did you receive a Normalium-Z crystal?" At her nod, he continued. "Any Pokemon who knows a normal type move can use the Z-move Breakneck Blitz. I can teach you how to perform the moves so you can use Breakneck Blitz, but you look like you can use some rest."

Still overwhelmed by her victory, Enterprise stopped short when the Eevee she had cured jumped in front of her. "Eee...eevee vee vee!" It chirped happily. She knelt and rubbed its head. She could feel its drive and energy and a fiery passion burned in its eyes. "Do you want to come along with me?" "Eeevee vee!" Taking out a Pokeball, she tapped it on its forehead; the ball opened and the beam of red light drew Eevee in. The ball rocked in her hands three times before the light flashed green. Enterprise pocketed the Pokeball and followed Ash back towards Professor Kukui's house.

"Welcome back!" Professor Kukui smiled, jumping to his feet. "I see a Z-ring, so your trial must have been successful?"

"It was professor, thanks. I passed the trial and defeated the Totem Pokemon. I received a Normalium-Z crystal along with catching an Eevee. She opened the Pokeball and Eevee came out with an Eeee of happiness."

Belfast approached and took off Enterprise's jacket and cap. "If you'll give me your Pokemon, I'll see that they are fed and put to rest. You sit down and I shall bring you a cup of tea. You look like your first real battle took a lot out of you."

Taking out her other Pokeball, Enterprise handed it to Belfast. "My Rockruff has fainted."

"Give it to me Enterprise," Lilly said, joining the group. "I'll take him downstairs and restore him to full health."

After passing her Rockruff to Lily, Enterprise sat down on a chair, accepting a cup of tea from Sheffield. "It was a good battle. I thought it was going to be a three-on-two battle, but Eevee wanted to help me out. Afterward, Eevee wanted to join me. It was kind of strange, but I could sense that Eevee wanted to go with me."

Taking a seat on the couch across from Enterprise, Kukui smiled and nodded. "That's hardly surprising, Enterprise. You see, the best trainers are the ones with open hearts who take the time to understand their Pokemon. You were taught by the best and you seem to have a way with Pokemon. Very few trainers could have tamed a Rockruff that another trainer had abandoned. I expect great things from you Enterprise."

Ash joined Kukui on the couch and nodded. "I do to Enterprise. Belfast told me you were in a bit of a funk after our conversation. Look, I didn't give you my advice to make you feel bad, I said what I said because I believe in you. Enterprise, you're going to go far. Mostly, you just need to learn to focus, and when to exert yourself, and when to pull back. This is not naval warfare so you don't need to throw everything into the mix. Strategy and tactics are more important than heavy artillery. I have used Pokemon, with a type disadvantage, to defeat a trainer."

Enterprise nodded, smiling when Eevee came in and hopped into her lap. "Yeah, I'm slowly getting that Ash. That battle against Gumshoos was a real eye-opener. Gumshoos and Yungoos had clearly defined roles and they knew those roles and stuck to their roles. As a trainer, my Pokemon look to me to define their roles and guide them. Once that sank in, the battle changed and I won."

"That's awesome Enterprise." Ash grinned. "As long as you keep an open mind and keep looking for new things to learn, you'll succeed as a trainer. Just remember, even a loss can teach you things. Study your battles and learn from each; victory or loss."

"Excuse me Miss Enterprise, may I have this dance?"

Enterprise looked up to see Bismarck standing over her. The Iron Blood battleship held her right hand out to her. Tall and beautifully deadly, the leader of the Iron Blood fleet was a sight to behold. Her evening gown, oddly cut, was both elegant and intimidating. Though she would rather dance with the commander, rather than another fleet girl, she knew Bismarck was simply trying to be friendly. Turning to Belfast, she excused herself and took the offered hand. Moving to the dance floor, she allowed Bismarck to draw her close and they moved together with the music.

"You know, Frau Grey Ghost, aircraft carriers may be all the rage, but battleships will still rule the high seas." The smile on Bismarck's face told Enterprise she was being a little playful and Enterprise decided to banter in kind.

"Sorry Miss Bismarck, but Battleships are becoming obsolete. They lack the maneuverability and speed of destroyers and cruisers and the days of ships just shooting at each other as they sail past went out with the sails."

"You think so? Perhaps you would like to put that theory to the test?"

Meeting Bismarck's steady gaze, Enterprise smirked. "What did you have in mind, Frau corvette?"

Returning Enterprise's smirk with one of her own, Bismarck shook her head. "Cheeky mosquito's nest. Tomorrow morning, oh-five hundred, we sortie and duel it out."

Enterprise, once again, was sitting on the beach staring out over the water when Belfast approached again.

"Good morning Miss Enterprise, is everything well?"

"Oh, good morning Belfast. Everything is going well. Belfast, do you remember the night of the ball, after the battle with the Orochi?"

Sitting beside her friend, Belfast nodded, "When Bismarck asked you to dance? Of course I remember. I was delighted to see you open up and start making friends."

Enterprise nodded, smiling at the memory. "Anyway, Bismarck and I spent a lot of time dueling together after that.

"The Sakura Empire girls were always too interested in "avenging themselves" for what happened during the battle of the Orochi. Akagi and Kaga are a little strange, Zuikaku is desperate to duke it out with me once and for all to prove she's the better warrior, and Shoukaku and Shinano don't like to battle. The Royal Navy girls are just a little too prissy," she glanced at Belfast, "no offense. As for my sisters, well Yorktown isn't really into battling and Hornet doesn't take the battles seriously enough. But Bismarck, she was a worthy opponent. I got to thinking about what Ash said the other day. How I don't try to defeat my opponents, I try to destroy them. When battling, I should view my opposites like Bismarck instead of like the Sirens. As iron sharpens iron, Bismarck and I helped each other to improve ourselves." She looked at Belfast again, noticing the light cruiser's huge smile. "What?"

"Oh Enterprise, I am absolutely delighted to be here to witness your growth as a human. To see you opening up to others, to see you calling on past lessons to help you in future endeavors. I am so thrilled to be at your side, as your maid, to witness your journey of growth. That is a very good idea you have. Pokemon opponents aren't a threat like the Sirens were. Most of them will be there to help you improve as a trainer."

"When did you become such a Pokemon connoisseur?"

"What? Did you think I just sat around sipping wine and eating bonbons while you and Ash were training? After I finish my duties as a maid, I spend most of my free time reading and studying about Pokemon. It's what I can do to help you on your journey."

"Are you going to watch my grand trial against the island Kahuna?"

"I should be delighted to show my support for you Enterprise. When are you going?"

"As soon as I have some breakfast and rustle up anyone else who wants to tag along. What's on the menu for breakfast?"

Once breakfast was finished, the whole group gathered to walk to Iki Town to cheer on Enterprise during her first grand trial. Enterprise was clad in her usual shorts and t-shirt, but this time she wore her bridge coat and peaked cap. The flower Shoukaku had given her had since withered, but Belfast had replaced the flower with a new one purchased in Hau'oli City. Belfast had called it frangipani and its heady aroma relaxed her. They arrived at Iki Town, and Hau and Hala waited on the large battlefield. Hau hurried over when the group arrived, and he was grinning excitedly.

"You must be Enterprise!" Hau greeted her, offering his hand. "I'm Hau, Melemele's island Kahuna and I'm very excited to be battling you today. When Ash called and told me a real fleet girl was coming to take her grand trial, I was totally psyched. My grandfather said you passed the island challenge with flying colors and you made a good impression on him."

Startled by Hau's eager friendliness, Enterprise shook his hand. "Thanks Hau, I'm excited to battle you too. Although, I have to admit I am a bit nervous."

Laughing, Hau patted her shoulder. "Nothing to be nervous about Enterprise. Remember, the most important thing is to have fun!" Still resting his hand on her shoulder, Hau bowed his head. "Tapu Koko, great island guardian of Melemele Island. I Hau, the Kahuna, ask that you would watch over Enterprise and I as we battle in this grand trial." With that, he turned and walked over to his box on the battlefield. "This will be a one-on-one battle. Enterprise, please send out your Pokemon."

Walking over to her own box, she reached up and stroked Corsair's soft feathers. "Okay Corsair, remember we don't want to launch at full power. Right now I want you to focus on obtaining air superiority, so I want you to get as high as you can." Corsair hooted his agreement and launched from her shoulder, taking his place across from Decidueye.

Taking his spot on the sidelines, Hala raised his hand. "The grand trial of Island Kahuna Hau against challenger Enterprise of Eagle Union is about to…." he raised his arm, "BEGIN!" Hala dropped his arm.

Corsair immediately surged up into the air, quickly gaining air superiority.

In her mind's eye, Enterprise was back on the water. She could feel the cold spray of the seawater on her face and smell the salt in the air. The battlefield was now the wide-open sea and she could feel the rolling of her deck in the waves; instead of facing Hau, she once again faced off against Bismarck. She would prove that carriers were superior to battleships. Calmly she issued commands to Corsair who responded eagerly. Though he had gained the upper hand easily, she did not take her opponent for granted. She knew her opponent could turn the tide of battle quickly.

Hau was beginning to sweat. Enterprise's calm commands to her Rowlet and her controlled demeanor were beginning to unnerve him. Not since he had faced off against Ash had he felt this nervous. He better end this quickly. "Alright Decidueye, let's go!" He struck a pose and began the movements that would power up his Z-move Bloom Doom.

"Alright Corsair, just as we planned!" Corsair began circling in place, picking up speed with each pass. When the beam of light that signaled the start of the massive grass-type explosion burst forth, he shot around behind Decidueye. "Corsair, use Leafage!" Leaves exploded from Corsair, knocking Decidueye into the blast radius of the Bloom Doom. When the explosion cleared, Decidueye lay on the ground, and Corsair hovered nearby. It had taken some of the blast, but nowhere near the damage Decidueye had received.

"Decidueye is unable to battle, Enterprise is the WINNER!" Hala declared!

Unicorn was the first to reach Enterprise and threw her arms about her waist. Belfast and Sheffield and Ash all arrived behind Unicorn. Professor Kukui hung back. "Enterprise, that was an amazing battle!" Unicorn cried.

"It was indeed!" Ash added, laughing. "That was the most ingenious move I've ever seen. Knocking a Pokemon into his own Z-move explosion."

"I'm just glad he decided to use Bloom Doom instead of Sinister Arrow Raid." Enterprise laughed, her knees going weak. "I took a gamble that he had seen me watching him the other day and decided to use Bloom Doom instead of Sinister Arrow Raid, which I had witnessed. Fortunately, my gamble paid off."

"Enterprise, that was definitely the most challenging and innovative battle I've ever had since I faced off against Ash. I have to admit, you were really making me sweat. You were really calm out there. Good job! You have really earned this." Hau placed a green crystal into her palm. "That's a Grassium-Z, with it you can use the Z-move Bloom Doom. Congratulations again on a job well done."

"Thanks Hau, it was a good battle and I really enjoyed it!"

"Yeah, that was a pretty good battle." Everyone turned at the voice of a young man with blonde hair that covered his right eye. He was dressed in a sharp suit and smiled warmly. "When Ash told me there was a real up-and-comer who had just arrived in Alola, I had to come and see for myself. I thought he might be exaggerating, but apparently not."

"I told you…wait, you thought I was exaggerating?" Ash demanded, causing the whole group to laugh. "Everyone, this is Gladion. He's covering for me as champion. Since I'm unable to stay here in Alola, I needed someone to defend the champion position. Who better than the trainer who almost beat me!"

Gladion offered his hand to Enterprise. "It's nice to meet you finally. I saw your battle and your skills have Ash clearly written all over them. Perhaps we can have a battle sometime? Of course, it would be an unofficial champion battle."

A tingle went through Enterprise and she found herself blushing slightly. "I think that would be alright Gladion. I look forward to it."

Belfast slipped up behind Enterprise, taking her arm. "Well done miss. I do believe a celebration is in order."

Enterprise was the hero of the hour during the party that evening. Her battle against Hau was all anyone could talk about. She did note, with some satisfaction, when Belfast slipped away to chat with Colton whom they hadn't seen for a while.

Unicorn was sitting with Enterprise when Colton walked up. "Congratulations on winning your first grand trial Enterprise." He looked over at Unicorn. "By the way, a Grand Festival is coming to Melemele Island. If you're interested in becoming a Pokemon Coordinator, you might want to attend and see what being a Coordinator is all about."

Snuggling her Vulpix, Unicorn smiled excitedly. "I'd love to go Colton. I've been reading up about Coordinators and I think I'd like to be an Ice-type Coordinator."

Sitting beside Unicorn, Colton smiled at her. "That's a great idea Unicorn. The Grand Festival is a few days away, so how about you and I and Belfast travel to Mount Lanakila and see if we can catch you a few Ice-type Pokemon."

"I'd like that!"

"Great, we'll head out tomorrow morning."
