Jingles was brought across the snow-covered bridge by Phillip as he began to escort Clara, Jack, and Jill to from whence they came so that they could all go back to where they came from along with Holly and Jolly. However, on the way, they found Phillip's old nutcracker box and found two familiar faces wedged inside of the box who looked at them on their way out.
"Harlequin and Cavalier?" Jack asked in surprise.
"You two again?" Jill added.
"Your Majesty." Cavalier greeted Clara.
"Your Highness," Harlequin added. "Along with Lord Jack and Lady Jill."
Jack and Jill smiled a bit as they were treated like royalty again with Clara even if they were a prince and princess back in Once Upon a Time and in a way, still were in Fabletown.
"And brave Captain Nutcracker," Harlequin then said. "It is an honor to serve at your post, sir."
Phillip smirked a bit. "Keep up the good work, men." he then told them as he continued to walk along with the kids to take them back home where they belonged.
Harlequin and Cavalier watched them go while still struggling in their new position.
"On three. One, two, three." Cavalier then cued.
Soon, the two men grunted and groaned as the wood creaked, but they were still stuck and unable to move properly. This was going to be a lot harder than they thought, so they then stopped and gave up together.
"You've really put on weight." Harlequin soon complained to Cavalier even though he was the larger of the two of them.
Cavalier soon sniffled before he then sneezed as Jingles, Holly, and Jolly trotted beside their box. Looks like those two were going to have their hands full for a very long time.
Soon, the kids were in The Christmas Tree Forest back where they came from and came to a stop once they saw the familiar sights of their way inside the realm for the first time. This was where Phillip had to stop and it was then time for one last thing before it would be time for the kids to go back to where they had come from.
"Please come back to the realms one day." Phillip said to the kids.
"Oh, of course we will." Clara reassured.
"Or maybe one day, you could come to Clara's world or even our home in Fabletown." Jack then added.
"You can meet our families." Jill smiled hopefully.
Are they all like you?" Phillip then asked hopefully.
Clara chuckled a little. "Well, they're a bit different." she then said.
"But we do know Aunt Alice." Jill then said.
"It would be nice to see Alice again." Phillip said hopefully.
"Then we'll have to make sure you can schedule a visit in the future." Jack replied.
"I would enjoy that very much." Phillip nodded.
"I think that we would too." Jack smiled.
"Yeah." Jill added as she also smiled.
Phillip looked soft and thankful before he then took Clara's hands gently. "I'm going to miss you all." he then said to all of the kids, looking at all of them equally.
"We'll miss you too, but when you miss someone, you remember them." Clara told the nutcracker soldier before giving him some advice.
Phillip looked a bit unsure about that at first. "Are you sure?" he then asked.
"Of course she's sure," Jack reassured. "And one day that'll make you smile." he then added.
"We promise you." Clara added out of comfort.
Phillip still looked soft before he soon smiled back at the three of them. "Goodbye, children." he then replied warmly.
"Goodbye." The kids said before they then decided to get ready to leave.
"Goodbye to you too, Holly and Jolly." Jack soon told his and Jill's temporary horses.
"We'll tell Aunt Alice all about our experience this holiday season." Jill added as she gently pet her horse before going to leave with her new friend and twin brother.
Phillip smiled sadly as he watched the kids go as this would be goodbye, but hopefully, they would reunite with each other again in the future sometime along with Peter and Tinkerbell from their previous adventure/mission from Looking Glass. The horses snorted a bit as the kids soon walked off into the darkness and were soon instantly back where they came from, safe and sound. Phillip waved with a somber frown on his face, but he would see them all again in the future, but only time would tell of when that would be.
Then in an instant, Clara, Jack, and Jill were back at the party before they rushed down the staircase, now back at Drosselmeyer's party and it was as though no time had gone by. The kids stepped down and looked around before looking over as one of them had been called for.
"Clara?" A familiar voice called to the girl as Jack and Jill looked with the girl to see her godfather in the room. "There you are. Back so soon?" he then greeted and asked tenderly.
"Thank you." Clara soon said as she hugged herself, especially with her brand new key.
"Ah," Drosselmeyer chuckled warmly once he saw the key that she had with her. "Pin tumbler locks. Devilish things to get into, aren't they?" he then remarked.
"You have no idea." Jack replied.
"I worked it out. Eventually." Clara then added.
"Hmm... I knew you would," Drosselmeyer nodded to the kids. "Clara, your mother was the cleverest inventor I ever knew. And there was never any doubt when I asked what her greatest creation was. It was you." he then said softly.
Clara beamed warmly at his kind words before she took off running again.
"And you two," Drosselmeyer then said to the twins. "It's very nice to see Clara making new friends at her age."
"Let's just say sometimes new friendships can lead to brand new adventures." Jack replied as he smiled warmly at the man.
"I couldn't agree more." Jill added.
"Oh. No doubt about that," Drosselmeyer smiled. "It's nice to have you at the party too and I hope that you had fun with my darling Clara."
"We did." Jack and Jill reassured warmly.
"Well, you better run along now," Drosselmeyer soon suggested. "Just in case your parents are starting to miss you."
"I have a feeling we'll be just fine, but that does sound good." Jill nodded.
"We'll see you around then, Mr. Drosselmeyer," Jack then said. "It's been very adventurous and educational helping out Clara."
"I trust that it was," Drosselmeyer nodded. "Run along now and enjoy the rest of the party."
"Yes, sir!" Jack and Jill replied before they took off running.
Drosselmeyer smiled warmly as he had enjoyed their company almost as much as he had with Clara's even if they were new to him and vice versa.
Soon, the kids stepped outside and saw Benjamin as he stood alone in the snowy gazebo as Snow, Charles, Alice, and Hatter kept him company as Hatter appeared to have a couple of wrapped-up boxes with him.
Benjamin stared out into the distance until he felt a presence behind him and then slowly turned around to see that the kids were right behind him, though he was mostly concerned about his own of course. "Clara." he said softly to his middle child.
Clara frowned as she stepped over and hugged herself since she didn't have a coat on and it was rather cold outside. "Father, I'm so sorry." she then said, looking down briefly.
"I'm sorry," Benjamin then said, prompting Clara to look up in surprise in hearing her father apologize to her. "I'm sorry. This time has been extremely difficult... For all of us. I lost the love of my life, and you lost your mother." he then said tenderly.
"I lost my sister." Alice then added.
"Yes. That too." Benjamin then agreed with his sister-in-law.
Clara frowned softly and soon rushed over to her father and hugged him instantly. "And I will miss her every day of my life," she then said softly as she tried to hold back a few tears. "But I don't want to miss one more minute with you, or Louise, or Fritz."
Jack and Jill looked soft before they soon reunited with their adoptive parents.
"Did you have a brand new adventure?" Snow tenderly asked the twins.
"Yeah, we'll tell you about it later." Jill nodded.
"And trust us, it was pretty wild, even probably more than Wonderland." Jack added.
"Impossible, but I look forward to hearing about it and your report back to Looking Glass once we all go back home after this visit." Alice replied.
"We'll tell you all about it like when we went to Neverland." Jill nodded.
"Sounds promising." Alice replied.
"We'll surely discuss it over a nice cup of tea." Hatter added.
Jack and Jill then smiled before they soon walked over and hugged Snow and Charles after their pretty epic adventure and Clara finding herself while everyone had expected her to be more like her late mother.
"Mother... Father... We know you didn't biologically have us... But we just want to let you know that we love you both very much, especially when we were alone with Goldie and Piper while going up against Death's Messengers," Jack soon said tenderly as he was hugging Snow. "We would hate to lose you... Blood or not."
"Blood is thicker than water, but even though you aren't our blood parents, we love you just the same and would hate it if anything happened to you guys." Jill then added as she was hugging Charles.
"Children..." Charles said softly as he let go of Jill in the hug before hunching down a little with a warm smile. "You may have been adopted and your birth mother was a good friend of ours... But she wanted us to have a family and trusted us to look after you. So Jill, I happily adopted you."
"And I happily adopted you, Jack," Snow added as she looked at the boy with warm sincerity. "Nothing will ever change that because we are all family and we are all in this together."
"In our kingdom." Jack and Jill replied.
"Exactly," Snow smiled. "We're avengers and a family and you both know that no life is worth a kingdom."
"You know what we always tell you." Charles added.
Jack and Jill smiled warmly before hugging their adoptive parents again happily. Clara and Benjamin also smiled at their new friends.
"Thank you so much for letting us be apart of this." Hatter said to Clara and Benjamin.
"It was my pleasure, Mr. Hatter," Benjamin replied. "I'm sure that the children appreciate it too."
Clara and the twins smiled as coming together was a pretty good idea as they learned a lot about each other and had a pleasant experience all around.
"Shall we go home?" Benjamin then asked his daughter.
Clara looked soft before she took his hands. "Don't you owe me a dance first?" she then suggested before taking out an egg. "After all, it's what's expected of us."
Benjamin looked soft and thankful, proud that his daughter had matured during her experience even if he had no idea about the adventure that the kids had. "I suppose I do." he then said.
"Do you mind if we also join you?" Jill soon asked before taking Charles' hand.
"Jill, my dear?" Charles asked softly as he looked down at the girl.
"I would be honored if you joined me for a dance as well, King Father." Jill then explained as she smiled and looked back at him.
"Oh... I would be honored to dance with you too, my darling princess." Charles smiled back then, feeling deeply touched.
Snow smiled warmly before looking down as Jack bowed to her with a small smile back. She then obliged and curtised for him before taking his hands then. Clara smiled at that before she put the egg down as it began to play its music.
"Ah, you've opened it. Wasn't so hard after all." Benjamin then noted once he saw that the egg was open for his daughter.
Clara smiled and was just about to dance with her father until he seemed to stall for a moment or two before dancing with her. "What is it?" she then asked her father in concern.
"This is the very song that your mother and I first danced to." Benjamin explained lightly.
Clara looked soft before smiling then. Benjamin smiled back and they soon started to dance along with Charles and Jill and Jack and Snow. Overall, it was a very nice scene as Alice and Hatter watched from afar.
"Are you going to give the children their Christmas presents?" Alice then quietly asked Hatter.
"Eventually, my dear Alice. Eventually," Hatter nodded. "I just hope they know what they mean after they open them."
"I'm sure that they will," Alice then said as she watched the scene very warmly. "They're both very clever children and have a lot more potential than they think they do, especially as fellow Avengers Grimm alongside the young witch hunters."
"Do you think Hansel and Gretel will be more worthy of these treats then?" Hatter then asked as he looked down at the two boxes that were gifts for the twins.
"We shall see, though I'm positive that Jack and Jill will enjoy the experience too whenever it arises for them." Alice advised.
"So true." Hatter nodded as they continued to watch the others dance along to the music.
"Oh, Marie... If only you could see this now and what your sister has been up to ever since she ran away from marrying that horrendous Hamish Ascot." Alice said softly to herself before shaking her head at the man she was asked to marry after hearing the truth from a couple of family friends known as the Chattaway twins before she escaped to Wonderland.
Eventually, there was more company during the little family dance moments.
"May we join you?" Louise soon asked.
"I want to dance." Fritz added.
Jack and Jill smiled together before nodding at Clara's siblings. "Please do," they then said at the same time before teasing each other. "Jinx!"
Louise and Fritz smiled back before they soon decided to dance together as the sweet music continued to play for them. Drosselmeyer looked out from the window and smiled warmly as Clara danced with her father and saw that things were going to be just fine in the family from now on. Eventually, they went back inside for more dancing and it looked like everybody was going to live happily ever after and soon, it would be time to say goodbye and return to Fabletown, as Hatter waited for the right time to give the twins their Christmas presents which he hoped that they would enjoy very much.
