Second Chances

Chapter 6

Way to soon – and maybe not soon enough – the limo was pulling into the entrance of the Metro Court. Carly laughed as she tried to get up from Jason's lap. But when Jason held on to her, not letting her get up, she smiled. "We need to get out of the limo and into the suite, Jase."

Jason smiled widely. "I know." He responded, as he sighed out loud. "Give me a second…" He winked at her. "I need to make sure my suit jacket is buckled."

Carly laughed out loud. "Then I better get off you, right?"

Jason nodded: "Maybe that's a good idea."

Carly got up and went to go sit in her seat. She breathed in and let out a huge breath. She was also affected by that kiss. Truth be told, if she weren't closer to fifty rather than twenty-five, she would have stayed in this limo and made love to her husband for the first time. They had never needed a bed. Granted, Carly wasn't as limber as she used to be but she could manage. And she definitely was sure that Jason could maneuver her in whatever way he saw fit – no matter the location.

"Ready?" Jason whispered to her. At seeing Carly's nod, he gently tapped twice on the window and had the guards let him out. They were about to open Carly's door when he said. "I'll do it. Thanks." He opened the door for Carly and reached out his hand for her to grip. They smiled at each other and they laced their fingers and walked into the Metro Court. They were greeted by staff members stopping what they were doing and clapping. "Congratulations!" a chorus was heard.

Carly smiled widely and laughed. "Oh my God, thank you so much."

"The Presidential Suite is ready for you both. And we will take care of you. Whatever you need. All you have to do is call."

"Thank you." Jason said, as he wrapped his arm around Carly's waist. They made their way to the elevators and walked in. As the door closed, Carly turned to Jason and he took her into his arms. "I can't believe this is happening…" Carly admitted, looking down immediately after her confession.

Before Jason could respond, the elevator doors opened and they stepped onto the hallway. It seemed right to be at the Metro Court for their first night as husband and wife. They deserved privacy. Besides, he wanted to keep her in bed tomorrow as long as he wanted with no interruptions. Jason grabbed her hand and they walked towards the door and Carly opened it.

She gasped out loud as soon as she turned on the lights. Their staff had done a wonderful job. "Champagne chilling on ice, chocolate covered strawberries…I love it!"

Jason made his way to the table and popped open the champagne. He poured two glasses and took it with him towards Carly. Handing her a glass, he raised his own glass and stated: "To you."

Carly smiled. "To us."

Jason nodded his head. "To us."

They both took a drink of their champagne. This was it. The moment they had thought about since they decided to make their marriage real this morning. It seemed like so long ago. Carly looked at Jason and felt nervous all of a sudden. She didn't understand why. It wasn't like she hadn't slept with Jason before. "I trust you more than anyone and I can't believe I'm this nervous." She whispered to him, as she looked to the floor once again. She was totally and completely nervous.

"Don't be nervous. We have the rest of our lives. We can go as slow as you want." Jason took her champagne glass and his own and set it on the table. He went back to her and slowly pulled her to him. "I can wait as long as you need me to. There's no rush and no pressure. Just know that when you're ready, I'm ready. I've been ready it seems like forever."

Carly smiled at him and whispered: "God, I am so in love with you." Carly had nothing to be nervous about. This was Jason. Her Jason. The one man that had stood by her through thick and thin, in good times and bad, in mental breakdowns and stupid plans that never worked. Jason was her rock. Her soulmate. Now her man. Her man. Finally. After so many years, Jason was hers and she was his. She sighed contentedly, closed her eyes and reveled in that knowledge.

Jason pulled her towards him and bent down to reverently kiss her. He pecked her lips once, then twice. Then he pulled back and looked at her. She was relaxed now. And her eyes were starting to darken with passion. He recognized that immediately. "Are you still nervous?"

"No." Carly responded, as she moved closer still. "I think it's time I help you remove this tux. You look hot in it and I love to see you in a tux, but right now, I just want it off of you."

Carly reached up to grasp his tie and she saw Jason move his head back, just a fraction so it would be easier to remove. Slowly and methodically, she undid his tie and threw it behind her. She then grabbed the lapels of his suit jacket and pushed it off of him. The jacket was the next thing to be dropped on the floor.

As Carly was about to start unbuttoning his shirt, Jason stilled her hands and kissed them. "I just wanted to tell you that you took my breath away today when I first saw you in your wedding dress and you started to walk towards me. Absolutely gorgeous. No one has ever had me frozen in place and speechless quite like you. In my eyes, you are the most beautiful woman that I have ever set my eyes on."

Carly smiled and winked at him. "That's because you're seeing me through rose tinted glasses or love goggles. But don't get me wrong…I love that I'm the only woman that can leave you stunned. I noticed it. I can read you like a book, Jason. Your eyes and the way you look at me have changed since we talked this morning. And you can read me so well that you know the way I look at you has changed too."

Jason bent down to kiss her, deepening the kiss the instant their lips met. He had enough of light kisses in front of guests. Jason wanted to fully taste her. As he had so long ago and inside that limo a few minutes ago. That's what he wanted and that's what he needed. He slowly and deliberately ran his tongue along her bottom lip, Carly acquiesced immediately. Paradise. Long awaited, paradise. After tonight, Jason could die a happy man.

Blindly Carly, working off of memory, reached her hands to his belt and unfastened it and slid it off of him. Jason then felt Carly untucking his shirt as he continued to kiss her. As she started unbuttoning his shirt, Jason felt her hands on his abdomen and he shivered. He never realized how much he needed Carly. But now that he had her, the memories of him missing her day in and day out, hit him like a ton of bricks. "I've missed you so much." Jason uttered to her as he came up for a breath. "I need you." He claimed her mouth once more as Carly expertly took his shirt off.

Jason pulled back one more time and turned her around, so her back was to his chest. "You have too many clothes on." Before unzipping her dress though, Jason bent down and kissed her bare neck. "You smell amazing." He slowly unzippered her dress and slid the straps down her arms. Carly's wedding dress pooled at her feet and Jason helped her step out of it. "You're still as beautiful as the first time I saw you."

"Liar…" Carly said, as she turned back to him and wrapped her arms around his neck. "But I love that you see me with want and lust still. After all this time…it's so good to know that I can still stir your wants and needs. And you look at me like I am the only one that can satiate all of your desires."

"Because you are. I will always want you, Carly. You're inside of me. I've accepted that. Now I'm just embracing the fact that I'm consumed by you. After tonight, I don't have to hide it or tell myself that I don't feel it. You're finally in my bed and I get to make love to you all night long."

"And in the mornings, and in the afternoons, and in the evenings…at any time you want me, you have me. I want you so much. But it's more than that. We're connected in ways that transcend the physical but now having both the physical and the emotional, makes this so much more meaningful. I never want this feeling that I have for you to end." Carly uttered, as Jason picked her up and she straddled his waist. "I love you Jase."

Jason wrapped his hands in her hair and lowered her lips to his as he made his way to the bed. Once he was close, he sat down on the bed, without moving Carly from her position at his waist, straddled and without breaking their kiss. Carly inched forward and pushed them both onto the bed. As soon as Jason's back hit the bed, Carly kissed his chest once, and got up.

"Where are you going?" Jason asked, momentarily disoriented.

"Nowhere silly. I'm taking off your pants and your boxers?" she asked. "Or briefs?" Carly smiled seductively, waiting for his response.

Jason laughed out loud. "Well, why don't you find out?"

"Indeed, I will husband. Indeed, I will."

Once Jason was completely nude, Carly proceeded to admire him. "My God, Jase. You get better with age."

Jason pulled her towards the bed, firmly on top of him: "I need to even out the game, wife, you still have your bra and panties on. And I can't have that."

Carly laughed out loud as she let him take off the remainder of her clothes, launching them across the room, as she had his clothes.

It was the first time they were making love and neither Jason nor Carly wanted to wait. They were desperate to have a connection. They didn't need any foreplay. They just wanted to feel each other. As he entered her finally, he whispered reverently, his mouth against hers: "Only you Carly. Always, only you."

Carly's eyes filled with tears at both finally having Jason inside of her once again and overwhelmed by the feelings of love that were emanating from his body. This is what Carly had been missing from her life. Adoration, love, acceptance and knowing – without a shadow of a doubt – that Jason loved her as much as she loved him. She closed her eyes in ecstasy and pulled her head back as she whispered: "It's always been you."
