Mana and Ryu panted as they ran around as the sun sat high in the sky. Coming to an opening, the two stopped and sat on a boulder before they coughed. Mana panted as she looked at her husband and shook her head, "What the hell are we supposed to do? Demons obviously know our son, he's a demon know, married and…he's got an army on his side while we don't know anyone here…not that they'll help us, but still, it'll be imposs-"
"Will you shut up!" Ryu panted and Mana looked at him with narrowed eyes, "We sold our son to a demon for money and we had originally thought that the demon was going to eat him, and here he adopted the brat as his grandson, took care of him and now he's a demon…that pink-haired bastard seems like he's good friends with Iruma…I don't know what to do,"
Mana opened her mouth, ready to speak, only to have a wall of ice encase her and her husband. The two looked around in confusion as she shivered and shook, "So, you're the reason Iruma was down here in the first place," the two looked back, avoided the shards of ice as they did, to see Kerori approaching them, her icy-blue eyes narrowed, "When I first met him, I was envious because he always found a way to outshine me, even if he didn't mean to, and that made me even more furious…knowing that someone could outshine one of the cutest Idols in the entire Netherworld…when I learned he was human, he offered to allow me to eat him for the trouble he's caused me, but I refused to because he also helped me greatly a number of times,"
"W-who are you? A friend of Iruma's?"
Kerori hummed and narrowed her eyes, "I am Kerori Crocell, I'm one of Iruma's friends and one of his classmates…when I heard you two shouting, I decided to see what was going on and after listening to you two argue, it became clear that Iruma was human at one point and what you two did to him was unforgivable," she stepped towards them as she shook her head, "I should report you idiots to Demon Border Patrol, but I'm sure Iruma and Clara would like to have a few words with you, as well as Lord Sullivan,"
"P-please…let us go…we don't want any-"
"Any what? Trouble!" Kerori hissed, "The moment you sold your own flesh and blood to a demon like that is the moment you got trouble! Did you idiots obviously think that that wouldn't come back and haunt you? Who sells their own family like that?" Kerori's face began turning red and she began to sway back and forth before falling unconscious. The ice that encased the two adults vanished and they looked at each other in confusion before they turned and ran from the unconscious demoness.
Kerori moaned as she slowly opened her eyes to see Clara, Iruma, Luna and Sol standing over her with a cool damp rag on her forehead, "W-what happened?"
"We were taking Luna and Sol out for some fresh air…we came to the uh…field where we found them and they started freaking, but before we walked away, we found you unconscious," Iruma explained and Kerori frowned, "So…I called Opera to come and help us…when he got there, I handed Sol over to him and picked you up and carried you back…Kerori, what happened?"
"I…heard someone talking and…I guess I saw your parents," Clara narrowed her eyes slightly as Iruma sighed and Kerori frowned and hung her head, "I tried trapping them and then I started talking to them…I got overexcited and passed out…I'm sorry," Clara looked at her husband and frowned as Kerori shook her head, "I tried to stop them and I only end up failing an-" before she could continue, she felt someone pat the top of her head and she looked up to see Iruma standing above her, "Iruma? What the hell are you doing?"
"C'mon Kerori, it's not your fault they got away," Iruma shook his head, "Azz ran into them and he didn't know who they were before they escaped and I don't blame him for letting that happen, and you overexerted yourself…you shouldn't do that, but it wasn't your fault they got away,"
Kerori frowned as she hung her head again, "Ice, ice," she looked up and saw Luna and Sol staring at her with wide eyes, "Ice okay?"
Kerori sighed before she slightly smiled, "I'm okay you two," she stood up and inhaling slowly, "I should get home before my family worries about me," the family of four watched as Kerori walked out of the room, closing the door behind her.
Hearing the latch catch, Clara sighed as she sat down on the bed, "Iruma-kins?" Iruma hummed and looked at her in confusion, "What are we going to do? We know they're still down here and daddy, Urara, the principal and your butler found and caught Zoro, but…you seemed like you want to go out and find them,"
"Clara…I'm not going to lie, I want to find them and kill them for the hell that they've put me through, but…you, Luna and Sol…and I made a promise to you and I'm not going to break it…if they're still here, fine, if Demon Border Patrol finds them and sends them back, fine…but I want to spend some time with my wife and kids for a while," Clara smiled and nodded as she leaned up against Iruma.
Alyssa stood behind the door and slightly smiled as she listened to the conversation on the other end before she narrowed her eyes and turned and walked away from the door. Turning the corner, her oldest son approached her, "Mother, is everything o-"
"Urara, I need you to keep an eye on your siblings for a bit," Urara tilted his head to the side in confusion, "I have something to take care of and I need you to watch Keebow, Konchie, Ran-Ran and Sin-Sin for me,"
"Um…okay, but mother, Lord Sullivan, Opera, father and I were about to head out in search for Iruma's parents again an-"
"That can wait, dear, I need to take care of this right now," before Urara could respond, Alyssa walked past him and down the stairs, leaving her son in confusion.
Walking through the corridor, Alyssa stopped in front of a cell and crossed her arms as she looked down with narrowed eyes at the occupant. Zoro looked up and chuckled, "Well, if it isn't Alyssa, matriarch of the Val-"
"Shut up," Zoro's eyes widened at the cold tone in Alyssa's voice, "You lost your right to call me by my name after you broke my baby's heart like that,"
"Heh…I can't believe it…you honestly thought I'd marry that nutcase? Like I told your son and husband, you Valac's only have one use and that's your ability and not-" before he could finish, Alyssa pulled him towards her, slamming his head against the iron bars, "Damn…between you and the former human, I'm going to have a massive headache…I'll have you now my head is very sensitive,"
"You're pigheaded," Alyssa spat, "But…I can't hold a grudge against you because shortly after breaking Clara's heart, she met Iruma, someone who truly cares for her and wouldn't think twice about dying to keep her safe," letting him go, Alyssa watched as Zoro fell to the ground, "And my husband told me how you mocked my grandbabies…how if Iruma was still human, our grandchildren will be hybrids, an embarrassment to our family…I'll have you know, young man, that my husband was right. Hybrid or fullblood, I'd still love my grandchildren…I'm just happy Iruma became a demon during the war so he and Clara can have a longer life together and Clara wouldn't have to bury her husband too soon,"
Zoro growled under his breath as Alyssa knelt down to his level and glared at him, "But your actions aren't going to be without any type of trouble. Clara cried herself to sleep over you and what you did to her, and if it weren't for Iruma, I'd be afraid to think my baby girl will be in a depressed state for the rest of her life,"
She stood up, turned and for ready to walk away, "Y-you know…if you help me get out of here, I can help locate the humans they were looking for," Alyssa looked down with narrowed eyes, "Y-yeah…my cousin…my cousin Miki…she-"
"Is arrested for trying to destroy the Netherworld, trying to kill many High-Ranked Demons and Iruma…once one of them put Clara in danger, Iruma became a demon and put those awful demons in prison," Zoro clicked his tongue against his teeth as he looked away, "If they do decide to let you go, it'll be because they're only being nice, but we're trying to find Iruma's parents so that everyone can talk to them," she began walking away, "I'd like to have a long chat with his mother…she didn't answer me the last time she spoke, but she won't be so lucky next time,"
"Why do you care so much about the human!" Alyssa stopped and looked back as Zoro shook his head, "He wasn't a demon at the time, and he sure as hell isn't one of your own…why are you talking about him like he's your son or something!"
"The day he married Clara was the day he became my son…and…it hurt hearing how his parents treated him before selling him to Lord Sullivan…when I first learned that he was human, I wasn't concerned in the slightest…when he told me his story on how he came to the Netherworld, I swore to myself that I will show him what it's like to be part of a family, outside of Lord Sullivan and their butler…to have siblings, to have a mother figure, a father figure…everything that he had to miss out on in life.
The day he asked to marry my daughter, I could see Clara was a little scared, only because of you and what you did to her, and that Jack was a little skeptical, but after some talking, he welcomed Iruma to the family and even called him son…so to answer your question, Zoro, Iruma may not be my son by blood, but he is my son, and Jack, Urara, Keebow, Konchie, Ran-Ran and Sin-Sin all welcomed him to the Valac family even before he and Clara got married."
She turned and continued walking away, "Like I said, get comfortable. I don't know how long they would want to keep you here, but seeing how everything had gone a mess, I don't think they'll let you out any time soon," Zoro clicked his tongue against his teeth as he heard the door leading to the holding cells open and close.
