Mana and Ryu sat in chairs across from Henri as he looked down at the files in front of him, "Entering the Netherworld illegally, attempting to steal from one of the Three Greats, attempting to harm the children of the grandson of one of the Three Greats, avoiding capture for several hours, sexually assaulting the wife of the candidate for the Demon King, brining an unregistered weapon to the Netherworld to kill all demon kind…we can sit here all day and I can read you every charge you two will be facing, but honestly there's just not enough time in the day to scratch the surface,"
"But Iruma's our son! He should give us money and help us out when we-"
"You don't understand how a transaction works, do you?" Henri looked up with narrowed eyes, "Once you receive the money, and the participant party receive their end of the deal, the transaction is complete, and whatever it was that you sold is no longer your property," Henri sighed as he stood up and the door opened and his wife stepped inside, "But that's neither here nor there now…what's going to happen is we are going to erase your memories of being here in the Netherworld, as well as the memories of Iruma, after that we'll send you back to the human world and seal off the portal, thus rendering your return to our world a fruitless effort,"
"But…before you send us away, would it be possible to see our grandchildren?" Mana requested.
Rika scoffed as she crossed her arms, "As if Iruma and Clara would allow you two anywhere near their children," Mana looked at the tall demoness in confusion, "We read the reports on Iruma and how you treated him and we know you tried to harm their children, which would've gotten you killed by both Iruma and Clara, but you got lucky. Sexually assaulting Clara…Iruma was well within his rights to rip your heads off and mount them on pikes, but again, you got off lucky and they're sparing your lives, and in exchange, they want your minds wiped clean,"
The humans narrowed their eyes before Ryu spoke up, "So…how much do they want our minds wiped?"
"Iruma made it clear that he wanted you two to be nothing more than bumbling buffoons before sending you back, but that can be catastrophic if something were to happen to you idiots," Henri cleared his throat, "So, we're going to erase the last forty-eight hours of your memories as well as your memories of Iruma, and then we will be sending you two back to your home world," four guards rushed into the room, grabbing the humans and escorting them out of the room.
Hearing the latch catch, Henri sighed and shook his head, "Didn't get the care he needed as a human, got sold by those imbeciles and passed as a demon, took down the Six Fingers with a small army and is most likely going to be the next Demon King…I regret wanting to send him back,"
"Or could it be that you wanted to send him away because our daughter was fond of the young man?" Rika teased and Henri's eyes widened, "Relax dear, remember my father wasn't very fond of you in the beginning,"
Henri watched as his wife walked out the room and closed the door behind her, 'The Colonel didn't like me?" he walked out of the room and followed Rika down the hall.
The two entered a room and watched as serval guards strapped the humans down to chairs, "This process, lucky for you, is painless," Rika narrowed her eyes as she stepped forward, "If it were up to us, we'd, or probably just I, would make you two suffer for everything that you've done," the two watched as a machine was brought to their faces ad their eyes were forced open, "Due to the amount of time we need to erase, this may take about two hours, so you best get comfortable," she turned and walked out of the room, "Let's go dear,"
"Uh…right?' he turned and followed Rika out of the room.
The two walked down the hall before Henri stopped, "Rika?" Rika stopped and looked over her shoulder in confusion, "Why would you want those humans to suffer? Yes, what they did was disturbing to say the least, but it wasn't a direct attack on our family an-"
"You know my views on child abuse, Henri," Rika sighed as she turned and faced her husband with her head down, "Rather it was our daughter or another child, I can't just stand back and watch something like that happen. They basically turned their son into a slave for the first fourteen years of his life and they have no remorse about it, and then they threatened two defenseless babies when they got here and then they tried to sexually assault Iruma's wife, and the two of them are still minors, so…I can only imagine the hell they put other children through,"
"Right…and that's why you put that bastard through a literal wall shortly after we got married," Rika hummed and nodded as Henri sighed and rubbed the back of his head, "But seriously, the Colonel didn't like me?"
Rika smiled as she rolled her eyes, "Don't worry, my father didn't like anyone, but he warmed up to you before the wedding, dear," Henri sighed and nodded, "Now, we got some time to kill before sending them back," she took her husband by the hand and began leading him away.
The four demons watched as the humans struggled in their bindings, "Struggle all you want, you two aren't leaving until after we're finished wiping your memories,"
"Well, they're going to be here for a while," one of them sighed, "I'm going to get some tea," the others nodded in agreement as the four of them walked out of the room and closed the door behind them.
The humans stood in front of an open portal before looking back, a confused daze crossing their faces, "Your memories for the last forty-eight hours have been altered while the memories of Iruma have been completely wiped clean. Once you step through the portal, it will close and you two will continue to live your lives as your intended never to know of the Netherworld or of demons' existence," the two turned and staggered through the portal before it closed behind them, "Now that the intruders are safely home, why don't we invite the Colonel to dinner tonight?"
Rika sighed as she shook her head, "Just let it go, dear. I told you he warmed up to you before our wedding," Henri ignored his wife as he walked out of the room and Rika groaned before following him.
