Because you asked so nicely lol here is pt. 2
"Mercy?" he whispered.
She raised an eyebrow. "You know my name? Wait, how did you know my name?"
His heart raced as he stared at her. Then, very slowly, he reached up and pulled his mask off.
Mercedes swore at that moment; time stood still. Sam pulled off his mask, and her world shattered. "Sammy?" She shook her head. No, this couldn't be her Sammy, but there he was looking at her with those same blue eyes, just older and sadder. "Oh my God. Sam?"
Sam nodded as his own eyes welled up with tears. "Yeah," he whispered, his voice cracking.
Her hands shook as she lifted her own mask and let the tears fall. She was overwhelmed by this information. "I-" She had no idea what to say,
Sam felt his heart begin to race as he struggled with what to say.
She moved closer to him and did the one thing she had longed to do since her father pulled her away from him. "God, Sam, I spent so long looking for you."
"I... I thought that you stopped caring... I stopped getting your letters."
She held him tight. "Stopped caring? I couldn't find you; all my letters were returned to the school." She shook her head, tears streaming. And then she realized the harsh reality. That man she wanted to protect was her best friend growing up. And what lead to this?
Sam fell into her arms, closing his eyes. "I... I had to t-tell myself that "
She was more determined than ever to get him out of here. "Why are you here? Doing this? Your family? Oh God, are they okay?"
Sam's shoulders tensed. "Stace got sick. She needed a few surgeries. We didn't have insurance. We didn't have the money. So I took out a loan and... here I am."
Mercedes pulled back and lifted his head so she could look him in the eyes. "How much? How much I can pay it, I can get you out of here."
Sam had tears falling as he looked at her. "I don't know what I'm at. It started at 250." But with interest, he probably still had that much to pay.
Mercedes nodded. "I will help you; I am a lawyer now; I can do whatever needs to be done. I can do something."
A sob shook him. "You d-don't hafta."
Mercedes wiped his eyes, "I was going to do it before I knew who you were; now I am gonna do it for sure." She ran her hands through her hair. "We can pay it or tell them you exclusively mine. But, Sam, I can not let you stay here. I won't!"
Sam couldn't stop crying at that moment. Years of pent-up pain came flowing out of him. "I d-don't know if they'll let me go."
"Sam, I finally got you back. I won't lose you again. I am so sorry I didn't know Sam. So sorry."
Sam rested his head against her shoulder as he cried. "Not your, not your fault."
"He shipped me away, Sam, my dad shipped me away, took my dreams from me, and made me who I am, and I didn't say a word but not being able to protect you from all this," She wiped his tears. "I won't let this be your future, okay?"
Sam looked at her. "You'll protect me..."
"I promise. I will do everything I can. But, you can't stay here anymore. We have to find a way to get you out of this place."
Sam was so used to his life now. He couldn't imagine a life on the outside. "Thank you."
"I came here to take care of you, Cap, and that is what I am going to do. But, first, you should finish eating, and then I am gonna put you in the hot tub; you don't have to fear anything tonight."
Sam nodded slowly, and he turned back to his food. He continued eating almost too quickly. "I missed you.*
"I missed you too." She couldn't even focus on food; her mind was reeling on what she had to do to free Sam. She paid 1500 for an entire night with Sam, she wasn't sure how much it would cost to make him hers so she could free him, but she would.
Sam's hands shook as he ate. "I thought about you all the time."
She looked at him. "I don't know how you survived all of this. The things you've had to do...can I make it to where no one gets you but for me? Like, make you mines? is that possible?"
Sams shoulders tensed. "I don't know," he managed.
"Then we find who runs this place, and I will talk to them."
Sam leaned against her again, falling silent.
"What? Is there something you aren't telling me?" She asked, looking at him.
Sam shook his head. "I owe them so much, Mercy. So much."
She sighed, "I have money, and if I have too I will use my trust fund. I will pay whatever I have too."
Sam shook his head. "No... I'm not worth that."
"Why would you ever think that?"
Because he was told that by everyone else. "Because I am."
"You worth it, Sam, and I don't care what I have to do to prove that."
Sam took a deep breath and shook his head. "You really... mean that?"
She smiled, linking her pinky with his like she used to do. "Yes. Let's start with getting you out here. I will try for this weekend. I will pay whatever I have to. We will get through this." She didn't know what she was doing; she was in over her head. But she would do whatever she need to.
Sam looked at their pinkies. "I hope you can."
She really did hope so, too, because she couldn't stand Sam being hurt like this.
Sam leaned against her and took a few deep breaths.
"I got you, I promise, no matter how long it takes. I will help you. Just trust me."
"Thank you," was all that he could manage.
"I need you to tell me how bad it's been for you, Sam...I need to hear it."
Sam immediately shook his head. "No. You don't."
She frowned. "Sam, I want to know what you went through."
"No. You don't." He seemed adamant about it.
"Why! Why not?"
"Because it's awful," he whispered, his voice cracking.
"You can't keep carrying this all on your own Sam, I am here now! I got you." She took his hand. "But if you don't feel comfortable telling me, then I won't push."
Sam sniffled. "Not today. Please."
"Tell me what you need from me?" She asked, running her hands through his hair.
"Peace?" His voice shook.
"I can do that." Stood from the bed and pulled him with her. "Let's go into the hot tub. It will relax you, and we can just sit there, we don't have to talk. Or we can talk about what you want to do this weekend."
Sammy smiled and stood, a slight limp to his step as they walked over. "I wanna see a movie..." he murmured. "With popcorn."
Mercedes frowned. "You're hurt?" She nodded. "Movies and popcorn it is. Anything else? I can make your mom's meatloaf?"
He looked so excited about that. "Just sore... I'm okay."
She went to remove the babydoll dress but suddenly grew shy. It was one thing not knowing he was Sam but not that she knew it was different.
Sam didn't take off his shorts. He slowly got into the hot tub. He turned to look at her. "you comin'?"
"Uh yeah." She said, removing the dress and slipping into the water. "Turn around; I promised to help you relax."
Sam turned around when she undressed. He turned back around for a moment before spinning again. "You're so wonderful."
She reached over and gripped his shoulders, massaging them. "I am? I am not doing anything to be wonderful, Sam."
He shook his head. "You are... even if you don't think you are."
She moved closer to him, digging her nails gently into his shoulders. "Just relax, Sam, and let me take care of you."
Sam nodded and let himself relax under her touch. He let out a quiet groan.
She smiled. "You don't have to be quiet Sam, I have heard you moan before, remember." She blushed. "Are we gonna talk about that, by the way?"
Sam smiled and raced his shoulders further. "Only if you wanna."
She bit her bottom lip. "We had sex Sam, amazing sex, and I had no idea it was with you. Kinda crazy."
"It is kinda crazy," he admitted with a soft laugh.
Mercedes leaned in, wrapping her arms around him and hugging him from behind. "I still can't believe I found you."
Sam leaned back into her arms. "You have no idea how happy I am now."
She smiled. "Happy you found me or happy you had sex with me cause I wanna know." She teased him.
"Well, I wasn't thinking about having sex with you the last time we saw each other," he laughed. "But I'm happy either way."
"I mean, if you were, that would be weird. We were 10." She held him close, the hot water easing the tension off of them. "You are handsome, though I knew you would be. Even back then."
Her words made him blush as he shifted a bit in the water. "Thank you."
"Just telling the truth." She was going to say something else but then stopped. She wasn't sure what she wanted to say.
Sam leaned into her again. "You're kind."
She let her hand run up and down his chest, absent-minded, not really sure why but it calmed her.
And her touch calmed him. He smiled silently.
"What's on your mind?" She asked quietly.
"How wonderful this is. How wonderful you are."
She smiled. "I like this moment too. I felt like I knew you; it's why I wanted to protect you. I guess my heart knew it was you; that's the only way to explain it."
Sam closed his eyes. "Yeah. That makes a lot of sense."
She swallowed, closing her eyes. The water and being with Sam, it was perfect. "Is this the peace you were looking for?"
Sammy nodded and turned to look at her. "Yeah. Thank you."
She sighed. "You are welcome. I told you I would take care of you."
The sigh made him worry. Did he do something wrong? Did he say something wrong?
She could feel him tense up. "What's wrong?"
"Habits," he whispered. "Did I upset you?"
She shook her head, "No, Sam, no, you didn't. It's me." She closed her eyes. "My mind is all over the place, and I am trying not to focus on the fact that I really want to kiss you again."
Sam worried his lower lip. "I'd like that very much."
She pulled away from him, looking at his face. "You would?"
Sam nodded, looking down at the water.
"You are gonna have to face me if you want to kiss me, though." She said softly.
He slowly looked up at her. "As you wish."
She swallowed. "The thing is, I don't want to kiss the sub-Sam, who is doing it because I am telling him too. I want you to want to kiss me. To really want to kiss me."
Sam closed his eyes for a moment. He took a deep breath and opened his eyes to look at her. "I really do."
She smiled, nodding as she leaned into him, kissing him softly at first, then moving closer to him and wrapping her arms around his neck.
Sam wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her deeply.
She moaned against his lips, pushing her tongue through, tangling it together with his, hands going up to his hair.
Sam returned the kiss. It felt so right.
Mercedes told herself that she wouldn't push that she would not use Sam, have sex with him or make him. And she would try to keep herself in check. But feeling him kiss her back felt amazing. "Sam..." left her lips in a moan.
Sam smiled and looked at her as he broke the kiss. "Yes?"
She licked her lips as he pulled away. "Sorry, it was feeling so good." She blushed. "Kissing you, I thought maybe it was because of the masks and everything, but it's not; it's you." She nipped his lips. "I was made for kissing you."
That made Sam grin like a fool. "No, Merce... I was made for kissing you."
She tried to stop herself but she couldn't, she moved to kiss him again, hungrily, happily. She moaned out, holding him close.
Sammy kissed her back, moaning just the same. This felt so right.
She nipped at his lips. "I told you I wouldn't sleep with you, but if you keep kissing me like that, I am gonna hop in your lap." She confessed, sucking on his bottom lip.
He pulled away for just a moment. "If that's what you want..."
"I told you, Sam, I never want to make you feel how those people do. Just because the mask is off doesn't mean that change. I want you to be treated with respect. And love not pain and ugliness."
Sam ran his hand down her back. "And when I say I want to do whatever you want, I mean that... with all my heart."
She shivered at his touch. "Mmm." She moved closer to him. "You promise you won't feel used?"
Sam nodded. "I couldn't feel used around you."
"Even before you knew it was me?" She asked.
Sam nodded. "Yeah... you made me feel safe."
She stared at him for a long while. Taking in his face, lips and eyes, nose, moving to his chest. Everything about him. "What do you want, Sam. Tonight is about you."
Sam stared at him for a few moments before shrugging. "I don't know what I want." He was never given a choice before.
She nodded; she could understand that. "I could help you decide if you want."
Sam bit his lip. "I'd like that a lot. I'm... I'm sorry."
She shook her head. "Don't be sorry, Sam. You never have to be sorry with me." She moved closer to him. "Do you like this?" She moved to kiss his lips, then over a trail to his neck, sucking below his ear.
Sam nodded and let out a breathy moan at her kisses. "Yes..." he managed."
She smiled, "and this?" Her lips stayed on his neck as her hand moved down his chest.
Sam let out another breathy moan. "Perfect..."
She nipped at his ear. "Do you want to stay in the water or go to bed?"
"Bed," he replied easily. He was better when given choices to pick between.
She nipped his lips before standing. Grabbing a towel, she handed him one, shivering as she wrapped it around herself.
Sam smiled and got out of the tub as well, slowly drying himself off.
Mercedes dried herself off and moved the food from the bed. Pulling back the covers, she sat down and smiled.
Sam finished trying himself off and sat down next to her on the bed. He fell silent.
Mercedes glanced at him. "Would you like to continue? Or we can cuddle."
Sam hesitated for a moment. He knew the correct answer would be to continue, but he really just wanted to cuddle.
She looked at him. "Sam? Tonight is about you? What do you want to do?"
Sam continued to hesitate, staring at her with a pathetic look in his eyes. "I wanna... cuddle?"
Mercedes smiled. "Big spoon or little spoon?" She asked, moving to pull on her babydoll dress.
Sammy went to lay on the bed. "Little please?"
Mercedes scooted on the bed and held her hands out. "Well, then come on."
Sammy moved and cuddled in with her, nestling his head against her chest and closing his eyes.
Running her hands through his hair, she hummed, "I need a hero," snuggling closer to him.
Sam smiled and slowly relaxed against her. He started humming along with her.
"Well, someone has been hiding a beautiful singing voice." She closed her eyes. "Sammy?"
Sam never was one to sing. He sang in the shower, but that was about it. "Mmm?"
"If you could have anything in the world this weekend, what would it be?" She asked.
Sam nuzzled against her shoulder. "Anything?" he asked, pausing for a few more moments. "I wanna hear Stace's voice again."
"Anything." She repeated, but the answer broke her heart. "Then I promise you, come hell or high water, that's what you will get." And she meant it. She would find his sister and family, and Sam would get to see them even if it was over a video chat.
Sam ran his fingers down her arm. "Thank you..."
She was afraid, afraid that for now, until she could figure out how to get Sam free, these weekends were all she could do for him, and that scared her, he was already so broken even if he tried to hide it, and in turn, it broke her.
Sam fell silent as he enjoyed the feeling of safety she brought him. He felt oh so very safe.
