I slept great for the first time in a long time, I had the nicest dream. Nyssa and I were having a sleep over in her and Harley's secret hideout. We stayed up all night singing, dancing, telling stories, and thinking of gift ideas for Drew's 15th birthday.

I still woke up around 5 am, because being the daughter of the sun god meant waking up with the sun, every single day. Geez I'd like to sleep in for once. On the plus side, everyone else in cabin seven also woke up around 5, as perusal.

''Good morning'' Kayla said cheerfully, making her bed.

I tumbled out of mine ''why so cheerful Kayla?'' I asked giving her a hug.

The way to Kayla's heart is by hugs, and hugs in the morning always got me on her good side. I love my sister, I really do but she was not a force to be reckoned with. I learned that the hard way.

''I really like this girl from cabin four and Katie told Travis, who told Drew, who told Will, who told me, she likes me back'' Kayla mumbled folding her blankets.

I followed her example and made my bed, it was exceptionally okay. I set my rabbit on my pillow and folded all my extra blankets

Phoebe came rushing in, she saw Kayla, Will and Austin then motion for them to leave

''Hey can you guys give us a minute'' I gestured toward the door

Kayla mouth ''what about Nyssa?''

Will smiled ''sure'' pushing Kayla out the door. Austin just groggily followed

Phoebe shut the door and wrapped her arms around my waist as soon as they left. ''We're almost ready to leave, but I couldn't leave without this-'' Our lips touched, passion burned as we kissed. She stepped back.

''I have an idea, but I need to know if you want back in the hunt''

I thought for a moment, honestly an eternity serving Artemis sounded awful, but If it meant I could spend that time with Phoebe then I was game. ''I'm in, but Artemis will never allow it''

Phoebe took my hand '' The no romance rull hasn't been around that long, so I think I can convince Artemis to change it back-''

I cut in '' why have the rule in the first place? The hunt was known as a space place for people like us''

Phoebe stumbled over her words ''I-I don't know, I was off on a quest for Artemis when it happened''

''And what if you can't convince her?''

She squeezed my hand ''then I'll leave, I could come here, or we could run off together and have our own adventures''

I smiled, maybe everything would be right after all

''Hunters, time to go'' Thalia shouted from somewhere outside

''I'd better go''

I gave Phoebe a quick kiss and she dashed off.

''Ouuu Sams blushing, what happened I need all the details!'' Kayla squealed.

''So Kayla tell me more about this girl from cabin four'' I said, hoping it would distract her from the obvious.

'Her name is-'' she stopped. Kayla looked at me again then started asking a million more questions. I couldn't even process what she was saying, you know when you're so overwhelmed you blank? Yeah that happened so long story short I put a rhyming curse on her and she hates those, but Austin thought it was hysterical. On the bright side we passed the cabin inspection with all five stars this week, so we get to shower first all next week!

Nobody else really asked any more questions, which was great because I didn't not want to explain my secret relationship/partner, girlfriend or whatever.

I took a walk on the beach to think, I don't know something about the sunrise over the beach was so mesmerizing. As I walked along the beach I saw Nyssa sitting in the sand watching the waves, so I quietly sat down beside her.

''Hey Nys, everything all right?

She was startled by my voice, I hadn't intended on sneaking up on her but she was so mesmerized by the waves she didn't notice me.

She blinked ''what?''

''Is everything alright?'' I touched her hand, but she quickly pulled away.

''I'm fine'' she grumbled, smiling

I've seen her smile, and that wasn't it, she was obviously faking it. I took her hand in mine, interlocking our fingers.

''Nyssa, you're my best friend you can tell me anything'' I smiled ''Talk to me? What's bothering you''

She got up and walked away ''like I said, I'm fine''

With that she disappeared beyond the beach. I stayed by the water. What was I thinking? What did I do? All valid questions, no answer.
